  1. i had a decision to make from classes to take at school, i was listenin that night to Keith Richards ' Losing My Touch' and i thought i wanna be just like him, so that was me started playing guitar, he is my main influence on guitar as i have been listenin to him for i can't remember how long.

  2. why cant it put good music in that magazine! all it has is all this emo stuff, it looked so good when it first came out with all good bands in it like angus young on the cover and everything. now the latest issue has the stupid all american rejects on the cover - a band which i really dont like. hey at least theres sometimes guns n roses in it but they usually are sayin somethin bad about them or giving them a rubbish review for their concerts!

  3. I'll list a few old-school rock bands inspired by Zeppelin, GN'R, Aerosmith etc.

Winterville - debut cd Everything In Moderation, which has become one of my top ten albums ever. Brilliant piece of music. I recommend this to everyone. The frontman is a blues genius, and the record mixes hard rock with grunges best, Soundgarden, plus a fair dose of old school Zeppelin. Absolute blinder of an album.

The Answer - debut cd Rise. Classic Rock Magazines wonderkids. Their cd is actually quite good, and they have a very good lead singer.

Roadstar - debut cd Grand Hotel. One of my most anticipated cd's so far this year, surpassing even Pearl Jam and Muse. Great alnum, with four or five very good tracks. Check out the song Roadstar. If you like it, buy the album. They're somewhat like GN'R and Aerosmith.

Imperial Vipers - debut cd Searching: Falling: Silence. Very special sound to this band. I haven't listened to this as much as Grand Hotel and Winterville's, but the album is overall definitely worth the money.

Wolfmother - debut cd Wolfmother. Definitely over-hyped, but Wolfmother's debut cd does have some very godd tracks on it. Think Deep Purple meet Led Zeppelin meet Black Sabbath meet White Stripes, and you got Wolfmother. Check out the tracks Dimension and Joker & The Thief.

$ Green Dollar Colour $ - debut cd self-titled. Great blues-vibe, Thunder & Aerosmith feel to it. The guitars are great, and the singer has a good voice. Has some very cool tracks.

Forty Deuce - debut cd Nothing To Lose. Another cd I really love. This is Richie Kotzens band, the wonderkid from Mr Big. Nothing To Lose is just hard rock all the way, if you love GN'R and Zeppelin, like I do, you'll love this. Great album, with only killer, no filler.

Coheed & Cambria - cd Good Apollo. Maybe some of you know this already, maybe you don't like it. But Good Apollo remains one of the best records I've heard for a long, long time. Very ambitious, but the cd is great all the way through. Get this cd now!

Crystal Pistol - debut cd Crystal Pistol or Everybody Hates You When You Love Rock N' Roll. Sleaze rock all the way from Canada, baby! Crystal Pistols debut cd is 11 tracks full of great fun, just as Appetite For Destruction. Check out their songs on their myspace site, they have some great tracks.

The*Ga*Ga*s - debut cd Tonight The Midway Shines. Another straightforward hard rock band who has previously toured with Velvet Revolver. Their album has some great riffs, check out Sex, their best song so far. Working on their second album now.

Tokyo Dragons - debut cd Give Me The Fear. Mixes punk and hard rock pretty nicely, and their album is definitely worth the money. Cool guitar sound.

I saved the best for last, however. Rattlesnake Remedy is my new favorite band, though they haven't released an album yet. They have a singer with a very special and great voice, kinda like a mix between Axl and Bon Scott. And their songs are absolutely amazing. Drag You Down is the most refreshing song I've heard for years, and the rest are just as good. They're releasing their debut, titled Magic Man on September 18th, which could easily become album of the year (if CD isn't released :o ). Go check this band out right now, they're great!

Check these bands out, and I think we'll agree that there is a very good rock scene going on. The next step is to get it out to the public eye.

i was gonna say some of the same bands but also with Red Star Rebels!

  4. Glasgow SECC should get nominated for best Audience.....Axl told us that....so if he has any say in this then we should. Also the show was fuckin amazing too. I went to dublin and Glasgow but i nominate GLASGOW2006 BEST SHOW ON THE TOUR.

He said that to us at Manchester. :rofl-lol: I think he says it at every gig they play mate. ;)

    Manchester was after Scotland, though.

And I must say I've never experienced a crowd like Manchester. I went to 3 other shows on this tour, including their return to the UK at the Hammersmith, and none of those times could the atmosphere touch what the M.E.N achieved that night. It was utterly insane.

So yeah, I say Manchester was the best on this tour.

Ah but my friend you forget.... Did the manchester have to be told to back up because of how insane they were, no. Now I'm not advocating crushing people as a scale to measure a crowd... but my god you should have seen the reaction... Youtube barely captures it... but I think it was the best crowd i've ever been part of....

i agree with you mate, i was at the glasgow one too! that was so cool when he told everyone to move back cause the people at the front were gettin smashed lol includin me lol

  5. it was great i loved it! way too hot in that hall though lol. im gonna be covered in bruises lol. Axl was so funny! and it was better than the show they did in dublin and they also played for much longer and they had izzy on which rocked!!! apart from them comin on late and stuff it rocked

  6. question:

what the hell does the backing vocalist say at the end of Janie?

it goes like "Honey, honey, what's the problem? Tell me it ain't right. Was it daddy's

*something* that made you scream at night? "

I can't find it anywhere and I can't make out the words

haha im called janie, im sure that song came out in the year i was born as well lol
