So what do you think, @russtcb? I'm beyond thrilled but I think I miss the "gallop" of the original Better.
Did you ever think we'd see Slash play this stuff though!?

You shut your mouth! If they do both songs in one show......... Well..... Nice knowing ya lol. Official cause of my death? Happiness.
If I even see both songs streamed before I get to go in July, I may not make it.

But the question is, will they play it again tonight when I'm there?? God, I hope so.
I'm thinking it's either TWAT or Coma. Can't imagine them doing both in one night. Much as I love TWAT, I sure hope I get to see Coma in July.

not to be pessimistic but does anyone else feel this Axl breaking his foot stuff is kind of partially ruining this GNR comeback ? This is the first big public comeback essentially and then coachella in a few days (im assuming he will still be in a cast then), this would not be a big deal to me if say this happened 3 months from now but at the start kinda lame.
But I must admit the band in particular Axl are sounding great so far.
Not me, I think it's pure crazy rock and totally befitting this reunion.

As cool as this is, not seeing the Izzy and Steven skulls there hurts a little :/
An electric buzz fills the PA, and suddenly Izzy and Steven's skulls flicker into the banner on either side. That's how they should bring them out.

Some dude in South America dressed up like a lady and got all worked up. The sign is brought to you by babelfish.

Fuck it... It's day of show and the stage background looks cool as hell and they're going to be rocking one of my favorite songs, Coma...
Wait.... What what what?!?

Shouldn't of done the show I get he is sick and all that but how do you start singing Your Crazy half way into Jungle ?
Haven't you ever been ridiculously sick? If he had bailed, do you think the headline would have mentioned he was sick, or just take the easy potshots?

I like how everyone forgets to mention how sick Axl was for that performance.
Thank you. He's not peak Axl to begin with but he was wicked sick here too.
Pitman on the other hand. I've been reserved in joining in the dog pile in him, but this makes my balls curl up in my stomach every time I see it.

I agree that it will be interesting to see if this is a working band or just a touring band. Though I'd like to see guest spots from other lineups maybe, I fear that too much of that turns it into the latter. I'd rather this incarnation produced stuff together.

Yeah, we've got a brand new era on our hands, can't call it NuGuns anymore. ComboGuns is a good candidate.
I'm considering crreating and selling ComboGuns Side Blinders: for when you only want to look at the middle three! $20 a pop in the parking lot.

Michael Jackson had a good voice too.. Don't want him in Gn'R.. Tons of bands have a keyboard player to help out live.. Guns N' Roses have Dizzy.. That is more than enough.. Was the Skin N' Bones tour suffering without some little pop chick singing and dancing? Experimenting with synth sounds over classic rock songs and sticking out like a sore thumb while she is at it? I'm sorry.. The inclusion of her is just god awful.
You're not wrong, I'm just consciously not letting it bug me. Yet, at least.

someone should mix it with slashs one
Jesus, with that marching band, it sounds like Phil Spector produced it.

She's got a good voice, and I've got no problems with her being with GNR. No different than Sabbath (though Sab keeps their keys offstage, so I guess there's some difference.)
That said, I hate all the fiddle-fuckery and trills people jam into the national anthem.

Locomotive hands down. It's the perfect storm of musicianship, awesome lyrics, Slash's guitar work, and Axl's multiple UYI "voices". It's also more likely to get played than Coma, which would be my pick otherwise. FINALLY and most importantly, it's Slash's, and I want more than anything for GnR to "belong" to all 3 originals again.
Gillette Stadium, July 19th.

They're gonna need 2 if you ask me. I'd be fine with AiC doing the tour, but I think they'll still need another band on the bill. It's been suggested in the thread, but I think someone like Royal Blood or Rival Sons would be a good idea for the first opener.
I know you're not a fan (and Axl probably isn't either), but QOTSA would be cool as one of the openers.

I need to see video of you jogging around in a UYI Axl kit.

I was a huge fan of the possibilities of the CD era, but it became increasingly clear and disappointing from somewhere in '06 on that it wasn't going to be the creative juggernaut I was hoping for in '02. The whole thing just steadily lost steam which is sad.
But since I grew up with GNR, now that Slash and Duff are back, the whole CD era seems like a weird dream.
