  1. I thought they weren't going to be playing? Have I missed something?

Anyway, if they do play I imagine they'll be late again to force the issue. A big fuck you to the promoters to say "yeah we know you're gonna do it, but we're still gonna go on when we want to". I'll imagine they'll be on around 1hr-1hr 15 mins after the scheduled slot.

Of course that really achieves nothing. It'll be excellent if he just turned the fuck up on time , had a big rant and told the promoters to shove it. Apologise to the fans at Reading for not getting a full set but wants to make it up tonight at Leeds. They then proceed to play a 2 and a half hour set after refusing to go off til they promoters pulled the plug just to give the fans the maximum possible.

GNR receive glowing reviews and Axl shows himself to not be so much of a cunt.

I really hope that happens, but I'm very doubtful that that it would. It seems very likely that Axl will do the same as he did at Reading.

Is there a curfew in place at Leeds?

    Yes, Leeds has a curfew.

  2. I agree with GOAB. Reading was a huge chance for GN'R to get some good PR, but unsurprisingly Axl blew it. I hope they attend Leeds, get on stage on time, and put on an excellent show, but they'll probably fuck that up too.

  3. I'm a huge fan of the new lineup, but, as I stated, I'm short of money at the moment, and £50 is a ridiculous fee. I already said that last time, while the gig was good, I didn't really get value for money with it, and I feel I may do so even less with this gig. Bear in mind it costs me £20 to get the train to London, plus food and drink, any merchandise etc, 1 night out will end up costing me £100 or so.

I don't think £50 is ridiculous. I think the price is a little high, but still reasonable. The thing that is more annoying is the Ticketmaster fees, like the "order processing fee" and the delivery fee. Train tickets, food and merchandise are the same for any show though, and you don't have to buy any merchandise if you don't have the money.

  4. Gnr are a mediocre, irrelevant band these days.

Then I understand why you don't want to pay 50 bucks to see them...

But why do you want to see them at all actually ?

I think Marky's speaking about how GN'R are perceived by the public, and not how he perceives them.

  5. Aerosmith and Bon Jovi are about the same price - standard I thought?

I thought Aerosmith was like a hundred quid or something mental at the o2?

I do agree with Mark though it is going to be pretty difficult to persuade some of my mates who were initially eager to splash out that kind of money.

Yeah, Aerosmith tickets at the O2 were ridiculously high.

I have to agree with Marky in that the tickets are a little too highly priced, but they could be worse.

  6. I saw Paul McCartney last Sunday in Hyde Park, London, and it was an amazing show. I paid £62.50 for the ticket, excluding the Ticketmaster fees. I wouldn't be able to pay for anything much more expensive than that. $250 is way too expensive.

  7. They were awesome at Hyde Park, really great. A lot of crowd pleasers in the set, and some unexpected tunes as well. Will definately see them again. They should try doing some bigger outdoor gigs over here, Finsbury Park would be ideal for them.

I completely agree, it was amazing show
