  1. I'm interested in hearing this album. I agree with you kevin it does have a U2 vibe to it though Tom claiming to produce an album on the same level as The Joshua Tree would be like Joel Madden from Good Charlotte going solo and claiming his new band will produce an album on the same level as AFD. :rofl-lol: The Adventure is the only song I've heard in full and already it sounds better than anything Blink 182 has every done. In fact it's not even close. The only thing that may turn me off is his voice and the Blink 182 sound that comes with it. I mean I Tom's voice and expect the next line in the song to be some sort of fart joke. To be honest I really like the sound and atmosphere of the music but unfortunately I think his voice makes it a bit juvenile sounding.

  2. You people who say "they don't deserve to cover a song like this" are hilarious. You cannot be serious. So I guess every bar band ever must be worthy of covering the songs they choose to cover?. I'm so sure. Pull your head out people. Anyone can do a cover. It has nothing to do with "being worthy" but has everything to do with enjoying a song and wanting to put your own twist on it. How about instead of saying shit like "fuck Hoobastank, they aren't worthy" you say "wow cool song choice. they didn't do a typical GnR song" And this attitude of expecting a COVER to sound exactly like the original and share the same passion is dillusional.

  3. Pretty good. It's stripped down so it showcases how good the songwritinb actually is. I've noticed that Civil War is kind of an underground G n' R classic. I've found that alot of people who aren't really Guns fans always seem to like this song. Thanks for the link.

  4. That's a great interview. he sounds so relaxed but excited at the same time. I thought his explanation as to why fans are so rabbid for GnR years after the fact was spot on. Guns N' Roses truely are the biggest watse of talent/potential in music history. And the fans hold on to this hope that the potential can actually be met and the talent hasn't been completely wasted. Axl's acting in a way that leads me to believe that he knows something we don't. A reunion is around the corner? The CD has been heard by many unbiased folks who were blown away? he sounds confident when in reality he shouldn't be. At least from the outside looking in. I think it's awesome. Plus this time he actually said "Absolutely" when asked if the album will be out later this year. ABSOLUTELY!!!! That's the first time he's ever said anything like that. Even on the Trunk show he sounded a bit unsure. rock3

  5. I kinda think a reunion is becoming more and more inevitable. I think Chinese Democracy needs to run it's course first though. This band is the Chinese Democracy band but once the tour to promote it is over all bets are off. I wouldn't be surprised if the guys in the band now would prefer to move on and do other projects. In the end they know as well as anyone what the fans really want and that's a reunion. Eventually that wears on people and I think this version of Guns will spilt amicably. Velvet Revolver is completely dispoasable, if the guys wanted it a reunion would kill VR in a second. Especially now that Izzy has joined Axl on stage and the chemistry is still obviously there. It's gonna happen, it's just a question of when, not if. And if Axl really wants three guitar players in the band I'd be all for Richard staying.

  6. Weird. Axl was cool to not retaliate. had he done so the only news to come of it would be AXL ROSE involved in bar brawl. It'd make him look like a douche. It's cool he walked away. He's not in his 20's anymore, no need to pull that shit.

Go easy on the Hilfiger clothes comments guys. I wear Tommy jeans. They fit me best

  7. Thta is truely unbelievable. Amazing thing for them to do. The only thing that would make it better would be if Axl lost the braids. :P This is really a great time to be a Guns fan, I'm just hopeing that it's not all for not. That album NEEDS to come out this year. Fantastic pictures. I'm so glad Axl looks like a rock star again rather than an extra in a 50 Cent video. This truely would've been the prime venue to get a really good read on Axl's voice. I thought he sounded amazing at Hammerstein but in a club you can't hide shit. rock3 to the lucky bastards who witnessed this in person.

    GO AXL GO!!!

  8. Personally I'd say go for seats in either Mez I or II. Forget the floor. the seats I had in Mez II were amazing and plus there were too many assholes on the floor. Fights breaking out and guys trying to intentionally hurt others in the "mosh" pit. Funny I don't recall moshing ever involving flying forarms or wild roundhouse backhands. You people who were doing that are idiots. The only downside to the Mez seats was you weren't allowed to buy mechandise untill after the show.

  9. I heard the same thing fom a few fans at Mustang Harry's. One fan said there were about 7 of them waiting and every member of the band stopped except for Axl who just walked by and got into his own limo that was twice the size of the limos for the other guys. Stuff like this leads me to belive that no matter how tight and how great they sound(and they sounded fucking amazing) this is not a true band. And Axl's attitude towards the fan seems to be par for the course. He expects us to support him but really doesn't give any of us a true reason to believe he cares about the fans. Actions like snubbing fans who just want to say hi and maybe get an autograph make his "Thank You's" to the fans durirng the show seem empty and insincere.

  10. Monday nights show was nothing short of mindblowing!! The band's perormance was top notch and I found myself thinking that I do miss the old guys but something tells me the old band could never be this sharp. Richard Forteus blew my away. Unfucking believable. The guy in my opinion is so much more of a presence on stage than either Finck or Bumblefoot. His guitar solo was also much better than Fincks, and Bumblefoots which I found to be pointless. As for Axl well holy shit what can I say. The guy fucking tore it up. His voice was unbelievable and in all honesty I had already accepted the fact that I would be hugely dissapointed in the sound of his voice. I could not have been more wrong. He nailed every fucking song and it seriously makes me wonder what the hell was going on with his voice in 2002, which in comparison sounded absolutely aweful compared to now. Props to Axl for sounding fucking great, looking fucking great and interacting with the crowd without those bullshit rants of his. He seems happy and to me that makes for a better show rather than listening to him complain. More props to Axl when Sebastion Bach came on stage I thought this guy is gonna steal it from Axl. I just had a feeling that vocally Axl would not be able to hold his own beside Baz. Wow was I wrong. As far as presence goes Baz is a monster. He commands your attention but again Axl's voice was dominateing. The two of them together wa such a contrast. It looked and sounded amazing and like I said Axl's voice was dominant. The highlight of the night for me was Out Ta Get Me which was probably the best performance of that song I have ever seen or heard. Holy fuck did it rock. In short this was one of the top 2 shows I have ever seen in my life. The only real complaint I would have would be the enthusiasm of the crowd. Don't get me wrong the crowd was most definately into it but considering the circumstances I felt there was something missing from the crowd's side things. It could possibly have something to do with the fact that Axl insists on going on so late that the crowd grows restless, tired and bit annoyed. One thing I will say that I thought was disgusting were the fucking jerkoffs on the floor who feel that moshing is about hurting people. You fucking assholes who were down there throwing forarms at each other and swinging you arms blindly and wildly at anyone are trash. Fuck you guys for thinking it's cool to go to a concert and intentionally try to hurt people. Leave your macho fucking sterotypical jock attitudes at home you shitheads. I'm not the only one who felt this way. The people around me in MEZ II thought you acted like dicks. Serioulsy when did moshing become about trying to injure soemone. Get a Life. Overall I'll give the show a 9/10. Too many guitar solos for me and I wanted to hear TWAT. Other than that it was perfect!!!

  11. in line now

    line is INSAANE

line rumor is bach is doing a song with guns

eddie trunks station is here interviewing people

there are tv cameras near entrance

more soon as I get up closer

Please know that I am not complaining but maybe the people who couldn't understand why some were upset over shows being added before the 15th after they had purchased tickets for that show can understand it now. This is what happens at the first show. The hype, the media, the frenzy. This is what the people who originally bought for the 15th thought they were getting. I did. Having said that I'm pumped as hell to be going on the 15th. rock3

Thank you Darknemus for the updates.

  12. I've waited a long fucking time for this weekend to arrive. Finally the King of Kings(Axl not Triple H) goes back on his thrown. Tonight is gonna rock. Not sure how much I want to know about it though. I want Monday to be as fresh as possible. Fuck this is awesome. Even here in Calgary theres' this electricity in the air. o.k. well maybe it's justa feeling that myself and a hand full of others feel but you can still feel it. Either way(disater or success) this is history in the making.

GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!! GUNS N' ROSES!!!!

  13. I don't mind Bon Jovi. I'm not a big fan of any of the new stuff really but I liked the old stuf. I don't see why you have to start hateing something just because Guns N' Roses came along or what not. I still like Poison. It's not my typical style these days and I don't listen to that stuff very often but hey it was good then so it's good now. I think alot of people hate on things based simply on their own riudiculous image they have of themselves. They think they're "Too Cool" to like that stuff. That in itself makes you uncool. Seriously how can anyone deny that songs like Runaway, Livin' On a Prayer, I Believe, Wild in the Streets, I'll be There for You, and so on are not good songs. If that's what you believe than it's my personal opinion that you're only pushing a phoney image of yourself.

  14. My wish would be for them to steer clear of Patience, Don't Cry, November Rain and Estranged. I don't need to hear those songs. They're all great but I've never thought the GnR ballads come off well live. I now it won't happen though. November Rain will get played for sure and it'll will be 9 minutes of :sleeper::sleeper: as useual when any version of Guns play it.

  15. Wow. Tough choice. I own albums by all of them except for United Future Organization. If it were based purely on songs I'd have to go with Morcheeba. They have the best melodies of the bunch and vocally they are superior to the other bands mentioned. It's great Sunday afternoon music when chilling to kill off a hangover. If it's background ambience you want say while haveing a few drinks with the lights low, then I'd go with Theivery Corporation. Portishead are cool but a bit to up tempo for this poll in my opinion. Sneaker Pimps are cool but tend to sound dated to me. It just always sounds like late 90's and it never takes me away like the others do. Massive Attack are pretty dam cool(teardrop will always be amazing) but they seem heavy to me. Almost like their music could be the opening for a dj's set at a rave. Tricky's solo stuff is pretty cool as well. I'd say my favorite is Hooverphonic(not included in the poll) but for this poll I may just have to vote Theivery Coroporation. It's kind of a toss up between them and Morcheeba but Theivery Corporation tends to sound like the promise of things to come where as Morcheeba is the actual come down. Both very cool though. ha! Long answer. Sorry.
