  1. Doesn't name the people but it says Steven remains skeptical singer axl rose will perform with THE ORIGINAL BAND.

That sentence certainly doesn't rule out Dizzy or Matt in any way.

That sentence is pure bullshit since there is no way the ORIGINAL BAND will perform.

Unless sb resurrects Ole Beich, ORIGINAL bass player, who drowned in a lake in 1991.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ole_Beich

How many times do people need to read this to stop writing about reuniting the ORIGINAL BAND?

Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven are the CLASSIC line-up, the AFD line-up, or the BEST line-up or whatever the fuck you want to call them... but NOT the ORIGINAL line-up

because the fact is the ORIGINAL BAND was:

Axl, Izzy, Tracii Guns (guitar), Ole Beich (bass), Rob Gardner (drums)

First performance on March 26, 1985

Learn it by heart for fuck's sake !

Seriously... just.. shut the fuck up!

  2. I didn't even realized he messed up on Chinese Democracy either until I just watched. Very weird, it's like his mind had absolutely no idea what verses of the songs were coming up and he just automatically started singing random points in the song.

it's almost like he didn't rehearse.

You need to rehearse LYRICS to songs that you just spent over a year singing on pretty much a nightly basis?

Just? Really? But the answer is apparently yes, if you fuck up November Rain, This I Love, CD and what else.. Yeah you really need to rehearse.

  3. Saw them for the first time this weekend. Fucking SICK show. The Murphs came on after the Mahones, The Street Dogs, and Stiff Middle Fingers, each worth the 35 dollar ticket price by themselves. The Murphs then came out and kicked the ass on fuckin' everyone in the theater. This clip is the best of the night, taken from about 5 people farther away from the stage than I was. SEE THIS BAND. You will not regret it.

I saw them in last April in Oslo, Norway (flew there just to see them) and yeah they are fucking awesome live!! Loved them for a long time but that was the first time I saw them live.

  4. Axl's voice is something that comes by pure chance! Yes he can refine to through training or whatever but you have to be born with something like that.

Like a pro baseball player. They are born with the talent and it what they do with it that gets them where they are. I was a fine baseball player during high school and jr college but that is as far as my ablity would take me no matter how many hours I put in I was only going to be so good, I was never going to be a Pojuls. Somethings you are just born to excel at you have the tools at birth and if you don't have them 99.99999999% of people not matter how much time that put in will never make to the level of someone who it comes natural to.

Yes and if the cows had wings, the polar bears would dance around the penguins. :violin:

  5. Every Breaking Wave!!!

Really good song, in my opinion. Hope they keep it in the set. I seemed to like this one more than North Star, but I've enjoyed every new song debuted so far.

I was there and actually 20 meters back from where this was shot :tongue2:

  6. It was an awesome gig! Simply brilliant..! GNR @ its finest and I was glad that they played 6 songs from CD, especially Sorry and TIL.

Axl didn't really speak at all, except to thank us which he did about 20x. He also bowed to the crowd several times after songs. In all Axl and the whole band were on a great mood and they were joking/acting playfully on the stage. A funny "joke" Axl pulled was when he changed a shirt and came back onstage with his belly pushed forward so he looked pregnant hihi

On a side note, Skunk Anansie was an awesome warm-up and they really amazed me! Skin was running around the crowd and at one point, I was a meter next to the place, she was standing on top of the crowd! People holding her up like some cheerleader or something.

Only complaint I might have is about these 2 idiots that were next to me, they were totally hammered and drinking vodka in the crowd and wrestling with each other. I was about crack the other douchebags skull open at one point.. but well it's a rock concert. :violin:

  7. No, I've done my partying. I've been down Slash's road of near death "fun". Ask Duff if the shit is "fun" and see what he says.

Personally, I don't understand how you or anyone else can say they enjoy life, while at the same time trying their best to snuff it out or degrade it's quality. That's like saying you love your CD collection but then strapping each disc, face down, to the bottoms of your feet and walking on them all day.

Seems kind of ass backwards imo.

    Got that right.

    zzz....

Boring. Shut up and enjoy the day.

What makes one so judgmental? Seriously though... Quite funny.

Isn't it? And here I was thinking that it was part of rock n roll.. Maybe I was wrong, then again I dont really care about opinions :shrugs:

Anyway when you guys come to Finland drink at will, it's certainly more part of our culture than any other thing! See you at the bar in June, if one can anymore see at that point hehe..

  8. By the way I hope this drinking is just a bit of fun and not a problem

It's hard to say for sure since we really don't know what else he does, where he goes, etc. beyond this tour. But the fact that the article says he hasn't hit NYC this hard since 2006 makes me think he's just having fun till the tour resumes.

    :rofl-lol:

You guys certainly worry about pointless stuff! Let the man, and anybody else for that matter, have his drink. As I recall GN'R was a rock band, if you are concerned I suggest you change to Jonas Brothers.

  9. it also fits in logistic plan... first they do a show in Zagreb (Croatia) on Sunday night, spend the next day traveling from Zagreb to Belgrade and stage re-construction and than on Tuesday night do another awesome show in Belgrade's Arena :)

I'll try to visit both shows if confirmed. Zagreb definately, and BG possibly.

It takes more than 2 days to build a stage.

No it does not, in the show in Hamilton for example it was 7pm the day before I walked by the venue and not one trailer had arrived yet, I am guessing about 8-12 hours o set up, total guess though. They do it faster now as they are used to it now.

How big is the crew because hands up if they can build the stage in 8-12 hours. Just look at it. It's not only the stage but also the complete setup. Stage, electricity (generators), lightning, videoscreens, soundboard.. They also have to test everything to see if it's safe enough. You can't do these tests within' a timeframe of 1 hour. They also have to do soundchecks to make sure the sound is ok.

Believe me it doesn't take that long and there certainly aint glamour in it. Tried it enough of times, yet I still crave back. Only as local crew though. :shades:
  10. Well for the 1 gig they are doing in Finland, their fee is said to be US1 000 000

Wow... and do you know which is the venue capacity? just to do my calculations

there are alot of people in this thread throwing numbers around as fact, lol. Fact is none of us know what their actual profit is.

Yeah but that figure was thrown around in media, or actually it was 760 000€ but that's more or less 1 million US dollars.

They expect 40 000 people to the venue, but the max capacity is around 60 000.

  11. I see they sell Silver VIP tickets. And since I don't undrestand finnish (thank god the site where we buy tickets is in english too) maybe anyone of you could answer. What does those VIP tickets include? And do we need them to be at the front? Hate when they're selling limitet tickets and you need them to get in the area in the front.....

Those include only VIP area with buffet and exclusive bar. Nothing fancy.

  12. Seriously up for the finland date, anyone else considering it? Anyone from finland with any advice on where to stay etc?

Well it's in close to the center of Helsinki so it's really easy access.

  13. guns n roses functioned as a normal band in 1991 and 1992. axl gave us a successful single 'november rain.' gave us a successful video 'you could be mine.' gave us an epic video 'november rain.' axl promoted what hit the top of the charts on its debut 'illusions.' axl did interviews with kurt loder, which we enjoyed seeing on mtv. we enjoyed calling in every day making 'november rain' the most requested video of the day. on the video countdown hosted every day and week by john norris, adam curry, and karen duffy. we enjoyed 'november rain' knocking 'thriller' as the most popular and best quality video ever. we enjoyed the 'making of' dont cry, november rain, and estranged videos. we enjoyed rockin out to gnr on the radio. gnr dominating radio. i remember a radio countdown on friday night, a pop countdown, which for the first time had 'sweet child' 'jungle' and 'paradise' in it. i remember waiting in long lines at tower records, waiting to buy the illusions. the anticipation. the build up. the buzz. where was that with the chinese democracy record at bestbuy? where was axl's promotion? where was the things we felt comfortable with, normal with, we had in the 90's on this new record? guns n roses functioned as a normal band from 87-93. what about 2010? why can't axl function normally like he did then for today?

All I hear is some mainstream-fanboy-bullshit. I couldn't give a flying fuck about any of the things you listed, I don't give a fuck whether it's unpopular or popular to be GNR fan and those aren't problems, CD is out there for fans to listen and GNR is touring. Maybe you're just one of those people who want to be "cool" but being a GNR has never been about popularity, sure people were fans because it was popular but are they fans anymore? Answer is fuck no.

If those things have greater meaning to you well you're shit out of luck and have certainly chosen the wrong band and wrong forum, maybe you should try something like www.bonjovi.com and see if that suits you better.

  14. hey, man. i remember axl saying the better video would come out soon. i might as well get drunk tonight. because we still don't have the better video or a new gnr music video. we have illegal bootlegs. download files. youtube links. this is what we depend on. this is the steak without the sizzle. we depend on scraps getting by. we don't eat a 4 course meal. we've been burned. axl burned us

Well yea you sure have been waiting 'round these parts for long. Just shut the fuck up already.

We have the record, yet you are complaining like a little bitch that Axl didnt promote it, Axl didnt sell out, Axl doesnt care about us.. Boo-fucking-hoo. Try finding real problems in this world.
