if axl really has strep throat as jarmo and fernando say...axl should postpone tonight, jimmy kimmel, and vegas residency. because strep throat is a serious throat condition. you don't get rid of strep throat over night. i bet axl's strep won't be gone by the time he's supposed to take the stage again tonight. axl's need to postpone everything. take the time off. and rest his vocal cords. or else axl will be at risk permanently damaging his voice. especially if axl chooses to sing tonight and then sing a whole bunch of nights for a vegas residency

I love both Eddie and Axl... but let's just say there is a huge different between the two when it comes to consistency. Yeah I know they are two different styles but still... Eddie is just miles ahead in that respect

The band was great as per usual, but Axl seriously tanked until Patience. He was REALLY struggling. Is it medical? Is it just his age catching up with him? Is it a lack of warming up? Strange. It was actually painful to watch at times, but at least the last 3 songs were very enjoyable.
i think it could be medical. if it's medical....axl shouldn't perform on stage again until he's 100% healthy

That was the worst I've ever heard him. I felt bad for the band. Bumblefoot looked embarrassed at the end of Jungle. Worse than 2002. Worse than Rio this year. Just so sad because he was the greatest frontman of all time. I mean, karaoke singers sound better. He must be beyond depressed to be that careless.
well. if axl has a problem with his throat...axl needs to get it checked out at the hospital and treated before he goes on stage again

I saw GnR last year and Axl was awesome. An "A" performance. Tonight he was terrible.
Anybody watch the chat screen on the side? Russtb or whatever his name was was worse than Axl. Constantly putting his website address out and badmouthing people the entire performance. Stfu and watch the show!

Trying to read the body language of band (not Axl) and they must be pissed. No interaction between members at all.
so no interaction or chemistry between dj ashba, bumblefoot, tommy stinson, and richard fortus?

Fozzie, you seem to now be trying to completely rewrite what you were saying previously.
Before, you said you thought GNR didn't have good songs in the vault because if they were good, they would have been on Chinese.
I pointed out that Chinese was not all of the best songs thrown on one disc. Chinese was its own album, but more material was made during that ten year period. Certain songs belonged on the second album, regardless of whether they were better than some of the songs on the first album.
I'm sure DJ is hopeful of writing new songs for the next record, but in the end it will be Axl's final decision on what to include.
I personally would like to hear more from the Buckethead era as most of Chinese was songs that were written before Buckethead joined.
MSL is credible. MSL says what i've been saying. which is. not all of the best songs were on the first chinese democracy album. more material was made during the ten year period. despite what dj ashba says about writing new songs around the clock...it's up to axl if the songs already targeted for cd2 make it on cd2. which means. cd2 could be an album full of songs that have nothing to do with dj ashba's writing or guitar sessions. looks like to me from MSL the next guns record will be he songs recorded during the ten year chinese democracy sessions period. makes sense

We really don't know if Axl's worked on songs last year. I think the next time we'll hear anything new will be for a soundtrack.
well. MSL says "axl says masses of stuff ready to go." MSL is pretty credible. so i take that as meaning axl can release lots of unreleased chinese democracy songs either as singles on itunes, mass free download, or for multiple chinese democracy albums for us 2 buy anytime in walmart, target, fye, and bestbuy music stores

There's no "probably" about it. DJ and Ron have both said they've barely started talking about the next album, let alone recording it as a band. There will be no album in 2012.
i guess then we'll be waiting for cd2 for a very long time to buy in either a local walmart or bestbuy music store
