Does Axl offer the band members any ownership in the Guns N' Roses name? Or does he selfishly keep it all to himself?

The old members still have the right to their own songs and parts, that won't change of course.

But Axl has all the rights to the name 'Guns N' Roses'. The old members signed the rights over Axl and didn't think too much of it.

Looks like it was a right move for him. He salvaged his musical career and he salvaged Guns N' Roses. Without that deal (and Paul / Beta ) there would be no more Guns N' Roses. Or GN'R, if you will.

in my opinion, he killed GnR's rock and roll legacy instead

Also, his concerts would sell less tickets.

Yeah, but when has Axl really cared about the money. It looks like he didn't really care about the promotion of his own album either.

I think it's all about pride, he wouldn't want to throw away the band that he co-founded a long time ago.

I think the ultimate slap in the face to Axl would be if Slash's album out sold CD. I think it is realistic that this could happen.

yeah they are saying that there is sound problems with people not being able to listen in the "popular", which i assume it means the locations with the cheaper tickets, maybe the stands further away from the stage

awesome story man, i agree some songs are timeless, and will be remembered as time goes by.

My best gnr moment, once i was driving back from the beach with some friends and Paradise City came on the radio, and it was just awesome me and my friends singing the lyrics of paradise city while speeding through the highway on our way home. It was a pretty cool moment

Why is it so cheap?? Well it's basic economics

Since it didnt sell that well, stores may have a lot of stock of it and the need to sell it to at least recover what they paid for them, so they lower the price

Also, apart from internet forums, i havent really heard so much compliments from the album so maybe people didnt like it?

The show is in 26 days...It very well could be impacted by this quake if the venue is damaged. Was Lima hit?

If/when GnR are inducted, I think it will be similar to the Van Halen fiasco. Here's how I see it playing out:

Axl - would like to be there, but probably won't show up

Izzy - 50/50, but probably won't show

Slash - He'll be there

S.Adler - He'll be there if he's still alive

Duff - 50/50

Dizzy - he'll do what Axl does

Matt - he'll show up, if invited

The other guys won't be invited.

I think it will be like the RIAA Appetite reaching times 10 platinum, with just Steven turning up

Axl? hope he does. Would be great to see what would happen with him and slash in the same room. Mayeb both of them will finally act like grown ups and set their differences aside for one night and play together, the chemistry must still be there.

Try having the band modulate to the subdominant key and follow them along. Like a blues thing. If they're jamming out the riff in A, then have 'em switch to D for a few measures. You can solo in D major or D minor along with them, and then transition back down to A.

yeah thats what we do we switvh from A to D along the outro, but what i need to know is which scales do you think would sound cool with the song, cause at the moment im just using pentatonics and blues

well, me and my band are going into this contest and we're playin VR's Set me Free, the extended version from Rock am Ring 2005 and i need some help with improvising during the end of the song. If anyone could tell me any scales that would work apart from the minor pentatonic and blues scale that are the ones i'm currently using i would be really grateful.

I personally like Frank better. I thought he was outstanding at the show I went to last month, and he played the songs more like Matt/Steven did. Brain invents his own things sometimes, which I guess is okay, but when I go to a Guns N' Roses show, I usually hope to hear the songs the way they should sound.

i think we'll never be happy enough with what new GnR is bcause we will always compare them with the old band, and although the new band may have beter musicians, it just isnt the same. At least I wont be satisfied enough no matter how good the musicians are, because i will always look back and see the old band, with slash's solos, that were not technically the best, but at least they had feeling and they reflected evreything GnR had to go through to get where they were
