  1. Radiohead - The King Of Limbs (NP: Separator)

    Yeeeeeeeeah

    Saw them on Fallon?

yeah, that's some amazing shit. best tv performance since I don't know when...probably freaked out a lot of people

    loved the gnomes

have you heard sandwitches and yonkers (the studio versions)? great stuff.

  3. thanks for posting those vids len. good stuff. I prefer those versions to the album version...

also, I agree about the slower songs being the better on the beady eye record...didn't really think about it before but that's actually true. the only rocker that works is four letter word. and the kinks-ish b-side to four letter word (don't remember the name) is also among the best tracks they've done, and it's not a rocker. maybe liam should start doing bluegrass?

  4. I didn't like Little James at all, but I'm Outta Time is pretty great. I wasn't trying to say that Liam couldn't write, just that he and the other guys wouldn't be able to keep it up over an entire album...and while they didn't really do that, they managed it better than I expected.

I'm not really that fond of any of those songs  Hindu Times and Little By Little are pretty cool, and Stop Crying Your Heart out is alright, albeit very sappy.

have you heard the SCYHO demo with just Noel? Fucking sublime :) DBTT is even with HC and SOTSOG beats em both imo.

nah, but I have a bunch of oasis demos on my external hardrive that I haven't listened through...might be on there. will have to check.

  6. I wouldn't say that this is worse than all Oasis albums. Re-listened to Heathen Chemistry last night and it's pretty crap, imo this is better, if only because it's got more spirit and will. But yeah, it's kinda obvious that none of the guys in Beady Eye are good enough songwriters, that said, it's better than I thought that Liam would be able to manage, considering. I thought the tracks not penned by Noel on Dig Out Your Soul were pretty bad, except for I'm Outta Time, but overall this is better...not by leaps and bounds or whatever but still. I'd rank it above Heathen Chemistry, and about equal with Don't Believe The Truth and SOTSOG.

  7. Kind of related, but I have a problem with how damn long hip hop/rap albums are. Most of the albums I've listened to from that genre are at least an hour long, with anything from 15-20 tracks on it. There's so many hip-hop/rap albums that I'd love if all that extra fat was trimmed down to say, 45-50 minutes instead of 70 or 80.

    yeah, definitely agree with this.

  8. yeah, the british music press (mainly nme) is notorious for hyping shit (like brother). but they do get it right on occasion (stone roses, oasis, libs, manics etc). but since they keep hyping too many shitty bands it's always gonna be like "oh so nme called them the greatest thing ever? yeah, right". so it's a two-edged sword for the bands. many people will check them out because of the hype, but many will ignore them for the same reason since they're thinking they're just another nme-hype.
