  1. That list is complete BS... Kenny Chesney had the highest grossing tour of the year and Rascal Flatts came in at a close second. Does this list only count rock shows?

I don't think it has anything to do with ticket sales, but rather how many times a tour schedule is searched on pollstar.com. Someone should search for GNR on the website 100 times a day, and I bet they take the number 1 spot on tha chart the next week.

  2. POLLSTARS of the Web

Weekly chart showing the Internet's most popular tour itineraries as measured by fan requests on Pollstar's popular music fan site, Pollstar.com."

This chart has nothing to do with ticket sales. Its a nice little nicey thing, but lets not get to excited about this chart.

  3. The tour is niether a jugernaut, nor it is not a flop so far. It is somewhere in between. 1st two shows, sold great. Jacksonville and Estero were a lighter crowds (most likely as a result of the rescheduling and saturation with too many shows in FL). There are different accounts on how many people where at the PR show. NC and tonights show are smaller markets and are tougher to fill up (I don't think they sold those markets out in their hayday). There are a couple of larger markets that will sell well coming up, but the sales overall seem to be a bit slow when compare them to they heyday of GNR. It depends on what someone thinks a "successful" tour is. Compared to 91, sure, it is a flop. But Axl is showing up and playing kickass shows to thousands of people. I'd like for ticketsales to be better, and I won't quote a pollstar chart to give me the delusion this tour is the hottest ticket in town, but I don't think we can call the tour a flop just yet.

  4. I really begin to think that kaneda is trying to make a Xozi of himself!

Holy shit... you know about Xozi?! She was my favorite sparring partner over at the old CD.com way back in the day! Trust me though, Xozi has a grasp on reality, unlike Kanedafuck.

This douche bag talks about ass kissing? I'm hardly an Axl-ass kisser. I think he's fucked up time and time again with this whole Chinese Democracy thing. I don't agree with his marketing strategy this time around and a lot of other things. I try to make sense out of it, but that's about it. If that makes me an ass-kisser, so be it.

However, Kaneda, despite his negative and same-ol' same-ol' BS posts 99% of the time, is the biggest Axl ass-kisser of all if he can get his huge fucking nose out of the way. Isn't that right, Gonzo? When something new happens... a leak... the website... Kandea would all but regurgitate Axl's cum and swallow it a second time if he could.

He's like a whining baby screaming for his lolly-pop, and when axl throws us a bone, he turns into Axl's biggest fan... albeit for a day until the same-ol' same-ol' BS returns the following day. Anybody that's been around this forum for the past year would understand that.

Mark my words, when CD drops, we'll all be telling Kaneda to shut the fuck up with all the praise already.

I forgot what people call folks like that... oh yea, A TOOL.

    Kaneda, Mr. Bandwagon himself.

LOL....you two should start your own sparring thread.

  5. I don't like Bach being in the mix either. Watch VH1's Supergroup and you can quickly see what an idiot this guy is. At least Axl is making him be the first opener and still bringing on a Papa Roach-calibur band to open next.

At the very least, having Bach in the fold gives us more opportunties to learn inside stuff. He's such an idiot that he'll surely continue to let out secrets during his countless photo ops that he seems to run to. Axl has seemily trained everyone else to keep quiet, but I don't think there's any hope in training Baz.

who fucking cares... If axe needs bass, it´s fucking ok. He´s got no true friends left...

If Bass is the key to get the cd, it´s ok.

    We need the cd.

    We need bass

    and more cowbell

  6. Anyone else sick of Sebastian Bach, the world's biggest lameass being all over GNR? And why the fuck does Axl even bring him up on stage to sing during a GNR show? Fucking Bach was making cameos on the UPN 9 for christs sake! Also, Bach is the biggest Axl ass kisser since Matt13. People get all excited when he praises Chinese D, but come on, Axl is this fools new meal ticket.

And by having Bach and Co opening up for this tour, it just shows that Axl is stuck in the past and surrounding himself with has-beens. Why didn't Axl get a band like The Killers to open for GNR? You know, get some youth to the show. I remember when Guns opened for the Stones, now if GNR are the stones, shouldn't a huge band for the youth open up for them?

I find him annoying as well, but not a big deal either way. Nice stab by including a board member in hypothesis, I got a chuckle. He tends to get all hot and bothered over that stuff. Naughty

  7. just trying to find out which show are sold out and how good they are doing in tickets sells and does anybody know what the pollstar.com is for?

Pollstar has box office stats, but it is a pay subscription to access them. The chart on the pollstar.com website does not refect tickets sales as far as the information I have seen.

  8. http://www.pollstar.com/news/top50.pl

Everyone and their mother keeps complaining about tickets not selling well. Just wanted to remind a lot of people around here just how well GNR is in fact doing.

And here is a litte reminder for the nieve people that Pollstar has nothing to due with actual ticket sales. Read the fine print on the website.

Jesus, you have to edit one sentence? Sure you know what you're talking about, buddy? What 'fine print' are you talking about. I must be blind. From what I understand, Pollstar rates an acts popularity by directly taking numbers from ticket sales. If you'd like to enlighten us and what it really is, I'm all ears. Don't come on here and claim something w/o offering valid evidence as such. If you're right, I'd love to know about it and I'll yeild. Until then, don't confuse anybody.

Someone mentioned U2 might sell out a stadium, but how many stadiums are they playing? GNR could play 5 arena shows and U2 one stadium in one week and they'll have the same numbers.

    Here ya go bub.

    "POLLSTARS of the Web

Notice no mention of ticket sales? It measures the number of times an intinerary is searched on that ONE website, and nothing to do with ticket sales. Pollstar does offer an actual chart that measures box office results, but you have to pay for that one. Since you are such a diehard, here is the link to those charts so you can go ahead and join and then really provide us the enlightening.

  9. no you idiots would find something to complain about regardless. ok

i for one got to see 3 of the best shows i've ever seen in my entire life this year and I'd go see it 3 more times.

thats not to say i dont wish sometimes they'd play CD more, or play TWAT more, but GNR in no way is obligated to play any particular song. I am happy with what Axl and the band chose to play for us and we are lucky to even get these shows after all the years of silence and nothing.

next time you want to bitch about the setlist... think about 2003, 2004, 2005, all the disappointments in 2002, 1997,1998, etc. 2006 has been the biggest and best year for GNR fans since 1991-92. This is not the time to whine and complain about every little detail you feel is wrong. This should be happy.

So do you just cut and paste on every board?

I think this is a post worthy of repeating, so what if he posted it somewhere else. Not everyone is a member of every board.

    Can I use it then?

  11. Section 129, row E, seats 11-14 (aisle). However I have 5 people who want to go so I am two tickets short. If anyone has extra tickets in sec 129 around row E, I would love to work something out with you.

And yes, I plan to go to the IA show before. However with the recent rescheduling again, I am going to wait for a bit before I buy tickets.

  12. Don't know if this is true, but here is an article on the Jacksonville show and they mention Nashville is also going to be rescheduled.

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Guns N' Roses have moved their Jacksonville, FL show to the 31st of October, Halloween. The show at Veterans Memorial Arena which was originally due to take place on the 20th of October will now be a Halloween celebration with tricks and treats and fans are encouraged to attend the show in their Halloween costume.

Special guests Sebastian Bach and Papa Roach will kick the evening off at 8 and 9 pm, respectively, before Guns N' Roses hits the stage after 10 pm for a festive night. Tickets for the October 29th date will be honored for the new date.

Guns N' Roses North American Tour will now kick off on the 24th of October in Ft.. Lauderdale at the Bank Atlantic Center as the band's Nashville show at Gaylord Entertainment Center scheduled for the 22nd of October will also move to January 2007.
