I know man I feel for you I really do, but we can't go on not expecting this to happen, I mean this has haunted Gn'R from their first tour, Axl is Axl. However I do believe Axl is currently fighting an illness, he wanted to play for you, he really did, but if he feels like he can't perform 150% he just won't do it at all, I mean its almost better he don't show up rather then everyone saying how his voice sucked all night

He suggested they build other things into their road trips - like visits with old friends and family - that way the concert can be the icing on the cake, and if it doesn't happen, you still get to have an alright time. I read this thing that Pink Flyod toured while working on Dark Side and then when tour was over went in and recorded the album. So people were going to shows without an new album - it's not a completely new way of doing it.

Is there any information on the second leg of the tour. I know many of you are still hoping for Boston and Albany to show up. I too hope I don't have to wait another year to see them. Maybe someone could get some info on this.

No info as of yet. Merck said we would hear from the band before the year's out, more than likely to add the next tour dates. I'd be surprised if more US dates aren't added before they head elsewhere.

It really won't hit the shelves with no notice. CDs don't just show up at stores, they are ordered. The only way for a surprise release would be pay-for-download through ITunes or through GNRs own site.

ITunes makes sense if a surprise release is in the works. There is no way GNR could send out cds and get every record store in the world to keep silent until release day. They could however, give Apple the exclusive, at least for the first release, and get them to sign an NDC.

But overall, this too seems unlikely, as the album will leak immediately, and harm sales of an eventual hard copy release. Sadly 2006 seems unlikely. Like many, I'm not surprised things didn't work out, more disappointed that we haven't been told that we should stop looking for this year.

Because great artists can make stupid career moves. Because great artists can still treat fans like shit. Because Axl has enough people to feed his ego already. Because constructive criticism doesn't mean you hate the band, it means you're not blind or naive.

Axl is a great singer, an awesome frontman, and a top-class entertainer. He is one of the most interesting songwriters in rock. The gigs I've seen have all been hugely enjoyable. The fact that people still want C.D. is testament to what a compelling guy he is. He has managed to put together a great band.

There, that's my praise.

Though I dont blame her really. The one we should be mad at is Jarmo - hes not sticking up for the people who are loyal to his site and hes allowing this woman to speak whatever she wants and hes censoring all retaliation. Bad.

Secondly, I dont believe you have a career or respect for anyone or anything if you can say "noone gives a damn about you family" You sound like a disrepectful person actually, I joke around all day long on this forum, and never get personal like that.

If you do have a good career good for you, but your attitude sucks bro.

No one gives a damn about my family either - this isn't what this is about. If I offended you with that, I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything personal by it - just that your family, mortgage and so on just aren't going to be a relevant topic to most GNR fans. Why that, to you, means I don't have a career, I can't even be bothered to investigate.

I have friends who work damn hard at shitty jobs to support their families, attend shows, etc. and your generalizing about them is offensive to me. The waving your career around part - virtually every post I've seen of yours mentions your career and mortgage, and makes fun of kids working in fast food. Making fun of anyone because of their job, to me, is a bad attitude. We all had to start somewhere, and anyone who works hard has my respect, yourself included.

Let's drop it - I've nothing against you, other than I feel you deride others a little much and mention your career too often. But that's my opinion, and its worth no more than yours. Just don't forget what it was like to be young and live paycheck to paycheck - attending a show means overtime and doing without something else to a lot of people, so don't act like you're a bigger fan than those people.
