This has been discussed numerous times.
They don't quit because without this gig, they could barely tour professionaly and have anyone pay them to make music.
agreed.
nobody is going to pay them what axl is paying

guns n'roses means slash, izzy, duff, axl and steven.
-
yeah, that explains a lot.
if it wasn't for the diarrhea, there would have been plenty of new songs and the setlist wouldn't have been based on the afd nostalgia.
i can't wait for the next show (hopefully, it'll be a diarrhea-free show)

It's a super exclusive surprise gig to 600 people. And the band has been refering to it is as a WARM UP concert to Governor's Ball. Why would they need a warm up gig if they have been touring for 3 years?
i hope you enjoyed these new songs buddy
great thread.

well done axl, another amazing show

Riad tease before KOHD
only nerds would do that.

todd rundgren
been meaning to check him out, any particular songs that should be heard first?
although he wrote some hits like "heavy metal kids", "hello, it's me", "i saw the light", "sons of 1984", it's better to approach him listening to his albums.
i started with "a wizard, a true star", it's a gem.
albums like "todd", "something" and "initiation" are great too.
rundgren also did some great hard-rock music with his band utopia.

It will be like when Chinese Democracy was released, everyone will go bat shit and there will be dozens of topics with hundreds of pages untill the board eventually crash.
i don't think so.

I'm sad with the current situation :/
What makes me even sadder is knowing that it wouldn't take much for Axl to get everyone extremelly thrilled and excited again, but still, he refuses to do so.
this.
nope.
it would be easy to get the forum excited... but to get the real world excited, that's a different story.

I think it's even more boring than the '03-05 period, but that's just me.
At least then, we knew something had been in the works, something new, something we hadn't heard yet.
Now, it's nothing more than just going through the motions, and that even wouldn't be so bad if Axl would take better care of himself and his voice. But now, all we have is essentially the same setlist, with very minor and mostly insignificant changes between legs, an consistently inconsistent Axl, and nothing concrete to look forward to in the foreseeable no matter what "side of the fence" you're on.
I think it's over beyond the nostalgic touring. The only way I can see us getting new music is if it leaks, or team Brazil milks it after Axl dies.
i couldn't agree more.
this is probably the time people are less excited about nugnr since 1999.
axl's project is virtually dead. at this point, it's just a cash grab act based on the afd nostalgia, without any kind of musical perspective.

I'd like to think that at some point before a concert, he looks around him and sees DJ, looks down and sees his clothes, and in a Gob from Arrested Development way says "I've made a huge mistake."
so true!

i'll post a real brothas clip later
did axl's poor eating habits deny fans at the brooklyn bowl a full show?

how many albums of original music did axl release in the last 20 years ? only one album and it's not even a good album... the guy is a bad musician. his bulimia is a way to forget how untalented he is.
