Are they going to move it to the dome? There's no way they can do an outside show in November.

Yea they might. Think second half of Oct is doable for outdoors but November is pushing it. Saw them at the Dome in 17 and it was great but was looking forward to a Busch show. Weather is perfect today too. Damn it!

Anyone notice the leaks are in the comments of that stereogum.com link? “Jackmoon” Posted them as “Legend of the Red Panda” leak. All songs except State of Grace and Ballad of Death. For those that don’t have them yet.

And Jackmoon’s comment and leak link is gone now.

    why did he say that?

Haha its like he's totally trolling us!  Pretty much what a lot of this fandom forum thinks when the Seeker starts.  He also said during KOHD "and it just keeps on going!"  Haha the sentiments of many on here about how KOHD is too drawn out.  Makes you wonder:).  That being said...don't change a thing Guns, the average fan at these shows loves the setlist.

How can (I'm assuming a rock station) get away with not playing GnR? We have 3 Rock stations and 4 classic rock stations where I am and no matter which one I'm listening to I almost always come across a GnR song on a half hour ride. They get played as much as ACDC, Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd.

Haha well the station as a whole plays a lot of GnR, just not Pierre Robert.  Several other of their DJs are pretty big fans.

Wasn't there a dj in Philly that refused to play Guns after the Philly riot in 2002? Is that guy playing guns again, is he retired, has he said anything about this tour? Just curious!

Yea his name is Pierre Robert.  He's kinda a legend in the philly music scene and has been around forever.  He is still a DJ at the great WMMR 93.3 radio station from like the 11am-5pm ish time slot. He has always been extremely critical of Axl's no-show in 2002 and I can understand why.  In the past he has only played like a GNR song on the anniversary of the riot and always dubbed "HE'S A FLAMING TURD!!!" soundbite into the song.  Recently he came in early and the Preston and Steve morning show fellas asked how he felt about the GUNS show and he was actually pretty diplomatic about it but said he would probably NOT go to the show.  He said he would only forgive Axl if he did an interview with the radio station to apologize or give a free concert in philly.  Axl's appearance in 2012 at the Electric Factory in philly and his "mostly" apology helped a little but Pierre is still no all forgiving.

  7. Nothing real new here but Jim Florentine(from That Metal Show with Eddie Trunk) was on the Preston n Steve morning show today in Philly.  Obviously take it with a huge grain of salt because who knows what he knows but he hints that it may be Axl and a few other guest singers combining to finish the 10 or 11 re-scheduled AC/DC shows, not just Axl as the guest...which seems plausible.  He also says he has heard that Axl and the fellas are all getting along great.  Again, take it with a grain of salt but with recent rehearsal pics and Axl in good spirits in Atlanta point to things maybe going pretty darn well for now.  GNR discussion is from 1:57 -- 2:01.

  8. Just got two tix section 14 citi presale!

WTF? That's still an option? What's that password again? I forgot? I hope you used a Citi Card because the ticket rep I spoke with said that non Citi Card orders might be cancelled and fully refunded to purchasers.

I wondered about that yesterday. I hope that isn't the case. :o

That would be so fucked up!!!

Haha they better not. i only used my Citibank card for the pin to gain access, used my mastercard to buy all 8 tix. I would hope they would have made it clear that you had to use an actual citibank card to purchase. I would have accordingly.

  9. How early does this waiting room open up? Also when I tried to purchase tickets yesterday I don't even think this site has bot protection. So the scalpers can easily buy up tickets. I don't recall being asked to enter a code to prove I'm human but I didn't get all the way to the checkout page either.

I think I read your place in the line is assigned randomly, no matter if you entered the room 30 or 2 minutes before the sale kickoff.

I get that,I meant how long before tickets go on sale can you access this waiting room. Is there an AXS app? I've seen people say they can pull up tickets on their phones but not their computers.

I bought mine with my phone through a regular Chrome browser, the AXS website is optimized for mobile devices. I don't think they have an app.

Looks like pretty much all sections will be on sale today.

It is fairly scandalous that, even with the presence of the $79 crummiest seats in the house tickets. Beginning with the $199 category there is this huge hike in price.

During the Citibank presale I bought section 203 row F tix for $199.50(P3) before the surcharges. During last nights presale they were valued at the P2 level for $250 before surcharges. So yea it looks like they in fact did raise some areas to the next higher level prices for the most recent presale...which pretty sure sucked compared to the citibank presale in terms of availability.

  10. First off I have not been or seen the building other than pictures on the internet. This is based of my opinion alone.

Looking at the construction interior pictures and the live feed camera off the arena's website this arena looks very very similar to an arena I am pretty familiar with. I live in Minnesota and in St. Paul we have the Xcel Energy Center where our hockey team the Wild play and it hosts a lot of major concerts. I can't help but notice how damn near identical this stadium looks like the Xcel on the inside. It looks like they started this project with the blueprint of The Xcel. So that being I think many of us will be just fine. The Xcel has lower seating a mid seating of about 8-10 rows we call "club" seating than the upper seating. During hockey games the Xcel hold about 19,000 people so a concert can house a few more. The Las Vegas arena looks layed out the exact same way as the X and is said to hold around 20,000 people. The Xcel is known around the NHL as one of the best buildings for hockey and Las Vegas is pushing for a hockey team so it would not surprise me at all that Vegas would copy the Xcel.

So I have been to a number of concerts at the Xcel and sat all over the place there and I would say 3/4's of the building when the stage is set at one end of the arena are all pretty good seats. Around 2005 I saw ACDC's Black Ice tour and was midway up the nose bleeds and almost as far away from the stage as I could be and that was the only time I was a bit bummed of my seats. Compared to other arenas they were great but the performers were starting to get a little small however the sound was awesome. Last summer I was 15 rows from stage for Motely and that was absolutely incredible, but there was assigned seats so I didn't have to deal with the general admission B.S. that usually comes with it. Probably one of the best concert experiences I ever had. The lower bowl viewing at the X is fantastic and you will be shocked at how close you actually are and the view you have. I scored section 6 about 12 rows up and I am thrilled I got those seats based onto the concerts I have been to at the Xcel.

Does everyone want to be as close as they can to stage? Well of course. However reading a few of these posts I catch the drift many might not be super thrilled with their seats according to what they see on the chart and I a hoping to throw some insight the best I can to ease some minds. Since not many have been inside the actual arena I am just trying to play detective a bit to help out. If others have been at the Xcel Energy Center and can chime in whether you think I am full of it or agree with me I would love to hear others opinions as well. Hope some of this helps a few people out or at least eases their mind.

Appreciate the insights. Yea looks like a pretty decent set up for optimal viewing for most. I am going with a party of 8 so it was a little tough but I was able to score 8 together in Section 203, row F, so like the lower 1/3 of that section ish. Hopefully its a decent side view and no obstructions.

  11. Well although it would have been cool to see Axl on Kimmel again tonight, I say we don't over-analyze the supposed cancellation. The big news is that Axl, Slash, and Duff confirmed today that they're playing Coachella together so the big picture "reunion" is still a go. If you would have told me a year ago that Axl, Slash, and Duff are all back in GnR scheduled to play Coachella I'd be beyond stoked. Pretty sure we'd all agree to that. This Kimmel thing may or may not be a big deal and either way, there will be other opportunities for Axl and Co. to make appearances if they desire in the next few months. All this minute to minute craving for information is a little much on all our parts I say lets chill out and let the chips fall where they may leading up to Coachella and maybe beyond. Good things overall for sure.

  12. Hell no questions. I'd just be obliged if Fernando passed on to Axl a thanks for Chinese Democracy, thanks for the many live shows over the years, and thanks for keeping the GNR name alive. He's won in the world of music in so many ways dating back from the Appetite days through the more recent touring. He really is one of the last true artists that hasn't sold out and lives by his own design. Gotta respect that. Whatever happens from here on out is up to Axl and his desires/motivations/inspirations and its all good. He's already won and its all gravy from here.
