  1. Hunger

Fantastic film, and one that got overlooked by quite a few people in 2008. Definitely one of the best of the year.

The Bank Job an interesting addition to your list though, I thought it was really average. :shrugs:

  2. That thread has something like 900 pages now hasn't it? :rofl-lol:

This album was reviewed in the latest edition of Uncut if anyone cares, it got 5/5.

924... (if i'm thinking of the same forum.)

I tried listening to Strawberry Jam because of how highly it seemed to be rated and didn't like it at all. Is this one similar musically? If it's different I might give it a shot.

  3. Outkast has been the most interesting and progressive act in the mainstream over the past 14 years, imo.

Agreed. Eventually I believe they will be considered among the likes of the Beatles as true pioneers of music.

Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is simply magnificent.

  4. Great song. Defintitely one of the best of C3 imo. (Nothin on Me and 3 Peat are probably the only 2 songs I like more.)

Wasn't it removed from iTunes because he didn't get permission from the rolling stones to use it on the album?

  5. Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy

The Hold Steady - Stay Positive

Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III

    MGMT - Oracular Spectacular

The Killers - Day and Age

Girl Talk - Feed The Animals

Tv On The Radio - Dear Science

Kanye West - 808's and Heartbreak

Hot Chip - Made In The Dark

John Mellencamp - Life, Death, Love and Freedom

    M83 - Saturdays = Youth

Sigur Ros - Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago

    Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

Flight of the Conchords - Flight of the Conchords

    Flogging Molly - Float

    Gutter Twins - Saturnalia

My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges

Raconteurs - Consolers Of The Lonely

    Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend

Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Cardinology

  6. Anyone heard this? It's an album composed almost entirely of samples taken from other songs ranging from the likes of Busta Rhymes, Jay Z, Metallica, Rod Stewart, Britney, Prince, Of Montreal, NIN and a shitload of others. Works really well. There's nothing quite like hearing Lil Mama's 'Lip Gloss' played over the riff from 'One.'

Another cool thing is that they're selling it in a similar fashion to Radioheads In Rainbows so you can pay nothing for it you choose to do so:

    Download It Here

  7. One of my favourite albums of the year. Maybe not the best decisions to drench every word with autotune but it works surprising well.

My friend showed me pictures of his kids

And all I could show him was pictures of my cribs

He said his daughter got a brand new report card

And all I got was a brand new sports car

    :(

  8. Those first 3 songs must be the best sucession of any 3 songs I've heard on an album

I was thinking about this today as well. I had always considered the opening 3 salvo from Straight Outta Compton as my favourite but this is really growing on me.

  9. very good quality , mp3 160kps.

    I'm Outta Time is epic.

Hmm...The one I downloaded has different quality for each track, varying from 173kbps-320kbps, but all the tracks sound a lot quieter than everything else I have in iTunes.

There's a re-encoded version floating around where the audio has been normalised.

  10. If Ken is smart he will go for the old Mir vs Lesnar finish.

Lets hope for Kens sake that he doesn't start the fight the way Mir did, shit without the submission he was getting smashed

That's like saying, without the ground and pound, Lesnar was getting smashed. If you have no submission defence and start throwing arms and legs in everwhere you're going to get caught sooner or later. Why do people think a win by submission is a fluke!?

Shamrock can submit him and end this KIMBO IS GOD bullshit that some people seem to be buying.
