  1. I would like to make a humble request to fellow fans.

MY PC crashed so I've reinstalled everything except my sound device doesn't work. It needs this specific file but I can't download the complete file because I have a slow internet connection and the server gets getting reset before I finish. C

So could someone please download the whole file and upload it on rapidshare/yousendit. I would be very grateful. I've had no audio for over some months now. If you can't help, please ignore it

Here's the link to the file:

    ADI Audio

It's 15.6 MB but it always says complete midway. So kindly make sure its the whole 15.6 MB if you so decide to download.

I need this specific file cause my PC is being very stubborn with the realtek updates.

    I'll keep checking back here.

Thank you very much in advance

  2. I used to like them and I met them, too. Hunter is an arsehole. :anger:

I used to love the song God Called In Sick Today. STS pissed me off. :anger:

I like their guitarist...something puget or whatever, he's pretty skilled.

My friend is an AFI fan too and has all their album except for STS cause he thinks its a sellout. I just thought it was more intelligent.

Since I'm really not into the AFI sorta music, he said I might like STS.

you mind doing us the deed with STS though?

I found Girls not grey, silver and cold, the leaving song pt2 online but can't get the rest since I'm behind a college firewall I can't use p2p.

  3. I know there are a few AFI fans here, or atleast "Sing the sorrow" fans

I never liked them till recently...starting with "Sing the Sorrow" though most hardcore fans will say that's the worst AFI album, "Sing the Sorrow" appealed to me the most...it's less punkish.

Can anyone upload few songs like "the great dissapointment" "silver and cold" etc? Those were recommended to me, but the amazon samples don't do justice.

    Thanks!

  4. do any of you know were they are taking place???

Axl and the crew walks into this building a few blocks away from the radio station. When they are all inside, Axl's friend from Pluto, the one he met when Axl was hiding in Area 51 for the last decade, whisks them away into the spaceship that hoovers above the earth's atmosphere. If you don't believe me, ask Steven speilberg.

  5. Link < Forgot it.

My current guitar is cheap and sucks. So I was wondering if this guitar is good, considering the price. The reviews sound good but I would rather know from someone on here, if they own it.

Santana was telling me that though people talk shit about them. Even though they are rather good (Epiphone, that is).

    So yeah. Help :)

I don't own one but from reviews, Epiphones in general are just shit compared to agiles. Don't let the low price of the Agiles fool you . That's only because Agile dones't waste money on advertisement. You want a good LP style guitar, go for Agile. The link is here

  6. christina scabbia

HAve you heard their Karmakode album?

Her vocals expand on a vast scale. At times she even sounds like Sarah McLachlin.

    My favourites

    Alanis Morissette

    Sarah McLachlin

    Fiona Apple

    Ani Difranco

    Nina Perssons

    Tori Amos

    Lene Marlin

    Sharon Den Adel

    Christina Scabbia

Someone mentioned Avril but I'd go with Anna Nalick instead.

  7. I'd give it a 3/10

Hey, I know this is your first take, but my score is not meant to be a discouragement. I just don't want to miss encourage you. I think miss encouragement runs high in this country....well I really don't know if you're American.

I've played worst than that and can now play better...just keep practicing your finger movements. Practice your chromatic scales up and down the scale. That should give your enough of a finger exercise.

  8. anyone name me some good ones? (that are easy to use! )

theres one called a maximus distortus which i like the look os :)

    talk.....

I suggest you get one of those new zoom 'G' series multi FX pedals.

Since you're just begining, buying one distortion pedal will be a bottleneck theory. A multi FX would most probably be an eye opener even though tone concious players don't like multi fx.

  9. How about a much simpler answer?

They don't give a shit 'bout us.

I think Axl's tired of the old fans. He wants new fans. He wants to steal Britney Spear's fans away from her. He wants to steal Simple Plan's fans away...etc., etc., etc.

That is simpler? And you based this on what?

I based this on 13 years!

  11. since nobody really answered me in the last thread........ :book:

    how do you Half-Step down??

any good sites showing you what needs to be done???? :)

    thx

Here's how you do it by ear.

    Key: 1st string=the tiniest

    6th string=the fattest string.

I assume your guitar is already tuned to E (normal tuning)

On Normal tuning you fret the 5th fret (6th string) and match it with the open 5th string and so on RIGHT!

If you want to go half step down/E flat, You do almost the same thing except:

Fret the 6th fret on the 6th string.

Then tune DOWN that 6th string while you're still fretting it on 6th fret till it matches your open 5th string sound (The open 5th string is still at its normal A note)

Now, that your 6th string is tuned half step down aka E flat, now its time to tune down the rest of the strings according to your 6th string.

Now, you fret the 5th fret on the 6th string and tune down the open 5th string till it matches the 6th string you're fretting on the 5th fret. (from this point on you start to tune your guitar the regular way using the 6th string as the starting place)

  12. I don't know much about editing and all but when I do record and edit sometimes, I use AUDACITY. It's a free software and very cool. Check the list of feature below to see if that's what you're looking for.

    Features

This is a list of features in Audacity, the free audio editor. For more information on how to use these features, go to the help pages.

    Recording

Audacity can record live audio through a microphone or mixer, or digitize recordings from cassette tapes, vinyl records, or minidiscs. With some sound cards, it can also capture streaming audio.

    * Record from microphone, line input, or other sources.

    * Dub over existing tracks to create multi-track recordings.

    * Record up to 16 channels at once (requires multi-channel hardware).

    * Level meters can monitor volume levels before, during, and after recording.

    Import and Export

Import sound files, edit them, and combine them with other files or new recordings. Export your recordings in several common file formats.

    * Import and export WAV, AIFF, AU, and Ogg Vorbis files.

    * Import MPEG audio (including MP2 and MP3 files) with libmad.

    * Export MP3s with the optional LAME encoder library.

    * Create WAV or AIFF files suitable for burning to CD.

    * Import and export all file formats supported by libsndfile.

    * Open raw (headerless) audio files using the “Import Raw” command.

    * Note: Audacity does not currently support WMA, AAC, or most other proprietary or restricted file formats.

    Editing

    * Easy editing with Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete.

    * Use unlimited Undo (and Redo) to go back any number of steps.

    * Very fast editing of large files.

    * Edit and mix an unlimited number of tracks.

    * Use the Drawing tool to alter individual sample points.

    * Fade the volume up or down smoothly with the Envelope tool.

    Effects

    * Change the pitch without altering the tempo, or vice-versa.

    * Remove static, hiss, hum, or other constant background noises.

    * Alter frequencies with Equalization, FFT Filter, and Bass Boost effects.

    * Adjust volumes with Compressor, Amplify, and Normalize effects.

    * Other built-in effects include:

    o Echo

    o Phaser

    o Wahwah

    o Reverse

    Sound Quality

    * Record and edit 16-bit, 24-bit, and 32-bit (floating point) samples.

    * Record at up to 96 KHz.

    * Sample rates and formats are converted using high-quality resampling and dithering.

    * Mix tracks with different sample rates or formats, and Audacity will convert them automatically in realtime.

    Plug-Ins

    * Add new effects with LADSPA plugins.

    * Audacity includes some sample plugins by Steve Harris.

    * Load VST plugins for Windows and Mac, with the optional VST Enabler.

    * Write new effects with the built-in Nyquist programming language.

    Analysis

    * Spectrogram mode for visualizing frequencies.

    * “Plot Spectrum” command for detailed frequency analysis.

    Free and Cross-Platform

    * Licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).

    * Runs on Mac OS X, Windows, and GNU/Linux.

It lists 4 effects that are built in, but that's not it. If you read on under 'Plug Ins' it tells you can add more effects just by enabling the VST Enabler etc. You can also download free VST plugins that will give you many more effects. Just visit the site and it tells you everything.

  13. Are you saying that you know how to play the piano parts ot November Rain and that you're willing to write the music?

Well, in that case, I'll go with Guitar Pro.

Guitar pro is not limited ot guitar alone. It has the piano board and shows you exactly which notes are being played as the song is being played. You can write music, plus it will then automatically show you the tabs for it.

There's a lot more you can do then just simply what the name "guitar pro" suggests.

There's a free demo version, and a retail version that costs a little bit.

If you're interested, go to http://www.guitar-pro.com/en/index.php and see the demo, and see if that's what you are looking for.

Also, if you PM me, I am willing to help you.

  14. GUNS N' ROSES: DON'T LET THE HYPE SET YOU UP FOR DISAPPOINTMENT

by Buck Woodward @ 10:16:00 PM on 3/15/2006

"Did you hear the new Guns N' Roses song?"

"Did you hear Chinese Democracy is finally coming out, and it will be a three-disc set?"

"Did you read what Axl said about Slash?"

"Did you hear who Axl is touring with this summer?"

"Did you hear about Axl walking into a club at 5am and having the DJ play Chinese Democracy on the sound system?

    STOP THE INSANITY, PEOPLE!

    That's not insanity! That's news!

The rest I didn't bother to read!
