The UFC are going to hold a fight night on the same night the Affliction 'Banned' pay per view is due to go ahead. (Tim Sylvia vs Fedor.) The card is looking promising for something thrown together at pretty short notice. For the main event Anderson Silva will be moving up to light heavyweight to fight James Irvin.
Main event:
UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva (21-4) vs. James Irvin (14-4) (Note that this is non-title light heavyweight bout)
Under card:
205 lbs.: Brandon Vera (8-2) vs. Reese Andy (7-1)
155 lbs.: Frank Edgar (8-1) vs. Hermes Franca (18-6)
265 lbs.: Cain Velasquez (3-0) vs. Jake O’Brien (10-1)
170 lbs.: Anthony Johnson (5-1) vs. Kevin Burns (6-1)
Smart move from the UFC. If done correctly they could kill off Affliction before its even started.

Brandon Vera's fight was stopped far too early
By referee Dan Miragliotta... the same clown that was behind the Kimbo stoppage.
Bisping was very impressive. Was kinda pissed to see Hughes lose though. I'm not a big Matt Hughes fan but he took that fight even though Alves came in to the weigh ins 4 pounds overweight which resulted in Alves having a big advantage imo. He could have just as easily refused to fight but instead saved a card that had already endured the most last-minute changes and adjustments than any other. He deserves a tremendous amount of credit for doing essentially everything that is asked of him.

One of the cutscenes in MGS2 came close to the 45 minute mark and it really didnt seem that long so the prospect of hour long cutscenes doesnt really bother me that much to be honest.

I wouldn't call that a premature stoppage. Haven't you seen the replays after those shots Kimbo gave Thompson? He was glazed over, man. One more punch and Thompson would've been unconscious.
Bullshit. Kimbo took 71 consecutive unanswered blows from 1:20 until the end of round 2 and the ref didn't stop it. Thompson took 5 or 6 and he stepped in right away.
Seemed that everyone was doing their part to make sure that Kimbo walked away with a victory, including one of the judges...
If EliteXC had any credibility left its just been destroyed. No way in hell could a judge legitimately score that round in Kimbos favour.

I went to the weigh-ins yesterday and met Clay Guida. AWESOME, awesome guy. Total class act. Nice as they come. Really hope he does well in MMA.
Met him at the UFC 82 weigh ins in Belfast as well. Fantastic guy. Always an exciting fighter to watch.

As per usual with your posts in this thread, you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.
Most of the wii's sales are because the aim of the system. The wii could have just as many owner with a normal controller (like a NES controller for example) a majority of the sales come from the marketing and software the system is owning.
Oh, and about the 2 90 minute cut scenes in MGS4. It's really simple, I don't think that no matter what, or no matter who is making a game, there should never be that kind of cut scene. It's a video game, it's meant to be played, and not to be watched.
As per usual you're being a condescending dick.
The aim of the system is to sell. The wii does this by presenting an alternative control system - motion sensory. Theres no way you can argue that most people buy the wii for anything other than the unique control system. What else do they buy it for? The amazing graphics? It's multimedia capabilities? The superior online system? The wii delivers a brilliant first impression and that's why it sells so well.
As for MGS4, its a story driven series so the cut scenes are an integral part of the game. 90 minutes might be pushing it a bit but i'll wait until i've played the game and see how/if it disrupts the gameplay before I pass judgement.

Exactly. The fact that they have Kimbo as a main eventer ahead of a title fight is ridiculous anyway. The guy's fought three professional bouts. Put him in against any of he top heavyweights in the UFC and i'm pretty sure they would hammer him. Hell, put him in against the likes of Eddie Sanchez, one of the lowest ranking heavyweights, and I would still bet against him.
EliteXC is quickly becoming a joke. I wouldnt go as far as saying it's rigged either, but it wouldnt surprise me if Gary Shaw had a word with the referee before the fight.

The Kimbo Slice fight was a disgrace. All the judges had Thompson well ahead on points before the stoppage.
If Slice had've been beaten by a handpicked opponent and exposed as nothing more than a street fighter with no real MMA skills then Elite XC wouldn't have much of a future. No way should that fight have been stopped.
The whole card was full of premature stoppages. I'm guessing its more than likely because CBS doesn't want its viewers watching people get hurt. If this is the case then MMA definitely doesn't belong on Network Televison. These are fights and people get hurt in fights. If you’re not willing to live with that, then don’t put the sport on your channel.

As you all know I got in big trouble earlier this year for a similiar situation. Same type of thing. I was minding my business and some drunk dude talked shit and I terrorized him. Long story short and 20 grand later I ended up with probation and community service but was warned by the judge that a repeat would earn me prison time. So basically I am now walking on egg shells.
So the plan is to move to the Philippines in the next two years. There the money I make in the UFC will make me very wealthy and there I will not have to hold back when someone deserves to get smashed.

I will be able to live my life how I want and deserve to live. I will train all day and fuck all night. Maybe one day I will find a wife, if not it's okay. I will bring my boxing coach and my jiu-jitsu coach with me. Build a team from scratch...this will be a great life. Hopefully before I am 55 I will die in a knife fight outside of some bar. Avoiding the midlife crisis all together.

It was a triangle choke that he attempted to transition to an armbar in the dying seconds of the last round. Machida mananged to roll out of it.

After playing the demo of the haze I can see how it's failing so hard. It just felt like a shittier version of resistance. The whole Nectar concept doesn't really add a great deal to the game. After injecting nectar, which you seem to have an unlimited supply of, enemies start glowing and you can move somewhat faster. That's about it.

Apparently, the deal is now: all UK live events, some other programming, and the occasional US one.
Yeah I think they only managed to get half with the other half still airing on bravo. (not live)

The second update doesn't take that long at all. Only took me about 10-15 mins.
Have to agree with RTN on the actual game though. The control system is very awkward. Reloading takes too long and just seems to slow everything down. There's times where you're in a gunfight with some guy and when you both have to reload you're both just running around eachother and it looks ridiculous. The aiming system is a bit shit as well.
I wasn't buying MGS4 for the online multiplayer anyway so i'm not really that dissapointed. The huge download and hassle with the I.D wasn't really worth it though.

In game XMB was a much needed improvement. At the minute the trophy system doesn't really support a wide range of games but it looks like it could be pretty cool.
