i really like myles' versions of gnr tunes and i even like his SCOM rendition better than axl's
Only axlites feel the need to bash him. Fact is he's a very talented musician, great voice and a damn good guitarist
-
Myles sounds like Myles should sound. Dude's got a great voice. If he doesn't sing it exactly like the album, that's tough luck for some, but he does a great job here.
This.
And I take Myles' SCOM performance over Axl's anytime

those 2006 clips put any of the 2010/2011 (axl's) performances to shame

Goin' Down

Funny - this is the song that had occurred to me when it was mentioned, but I couldn't see them doing it. Cool. Good tune.
i immediately thought of this song too, i had first listened to it sung by joe perry at an aerosmith show

in fact there has been that kind of comments in the GNR facebook page when they posted some live clip of chinese democracy (the song) and that people is supposed to 'like' gnr

i did some editing on the audio mixing it with two audience recordings to make the video more enjoyable

Axl furious

axl begins to sing really early the part "i never wanted you to be so full of anger..." and then i think he gets pissed and sings the rest of the song standing still
-
YCBM nice quality!
-
i know it's a new song but i also heard pieces of 'ballad of death' on it

some people are trying too hard to convince themselves that it wasn't that bad. i just watched some of these videos and it still looks pretty bad. i can't believe axl couldn't even sing brownstone, he went constantly out of breath in the "he won't leave me alone" and "i used to do a little..." lines. This used to be one of the few songs he nailed every night. I really hope it was just a bad night.

after watching this show i honestly would prefer not to go to the show next saturday which i have tickets to... the only motivation i have to make a 5 hours trip and wait until whenever the fuck axl decides to hit the stage is that i spent a good amount of money and that i'll hopefully get some estranged... so fuckin dissappointed... and i had so many expectations to attending this show since i could barely hear axl at the show last year, i'm sick of it

I don't see what the problem is.
I genuinely didn’t expect “Estranged” to even be a possibility (despite Axl expressing a desire to play it several years ago).
Not complaining, simply considering the sight of “Estranged” being played at Rio with no prior reference.
Would Duff’s appearance have had the same impact if GN’R somehow alluded to the possibility in advance?
oh please, you still have no idea if they're gonna play estranged or not... so if they do play it, it will indeed be a damn good surprise
-
i saw axl last year... i would love to actually hear him this time... then they can add estranged
-
axl working as equal with other important musicians and not being in charge of everything? yeah, right...
-
Definitely interested to hear this. Joss Stone and Mick Jagger sounds intriguing.
they've already worked together before

finally some gnr news!!!!!!! the silence was killing me....
Has anybody else ever wondered why Axl seems to always wear a watch?
