'Hardcore! Hardcore!' This is why I hate this country.

Pearl Jam - Ten

Watched The Plague Dogs, which I haven't seen for about 4 years at least. Really amazing animation on that film imo.

well i finished GTA 4 today, after waiting so long to play it i can honestly say that GTA4 is very dissapointing
they replaced fun for realism. the first thing i hated was the new driving scheme, it was very hard to control cars when turning without sliding in every direction, especially compared to previous GTA games, if i wanted realistic driving i'd do it in real life, i wanted to make sharp turns at very high speeds.
secondly, why are most of the missions the same? at least half of them involve following/chasing somebody in their cars.
i disliked the use of new york in this game, it was good in theory, but everywhere is basically the same! in san andreas you had a bit of LA, some Las Vegas, some desert areas, and variety. i was also annoyed that the prison was not used in any of the story missions, i was 100% certain there's be a prison escape mission!
i'd much rather prefered an expansion to san andreas, which was an all around better game.
don't get me started on the terrible soundtrack.
there were bits i liked about the game, the police computers were fun and aspects of the story were good.
overall i give this game an 8.5. maybe i'd have given it an 8.9 if i had not played the much better MGS4 first
I thought it was fun, but it was over-hyped.
I read a review (I think it was on IGN.com), where they stated that the story was Oscar-worthy. What in the fuck were they smoking?
Are they talking about GTA 4 or MGS4 being Oscar worthy?.
Grand Theft Auto.
And yes, it was a disappointment, although I still haven't finished it due to the fact my disc is fucked for no reason and is now unreadable.

That's alright, I thought the first pic wouldn't work very well, but it looks great, thanks! :xmasssanta:

The Axl one looks great. B)
You couldn't make me a Dave Gilmour one with these pictures could you?
Feel free to say no. :xmasssanta:

So is the Tim Roth in The Incredible Hulk the same Tim Roth who was Mr. Orange in Reservoir Dogs?
If it is I may just have to go see this.
-
I too might make a request at some point, if you do eventually want to do requests that is.
The ones you've made so far are great! :xmasssanta:

Neither, both get all of the attention they deserve.
Although, I do hate it when, like ER said, someone wears a band shirt or pretends to be a fan and then knows nothing about them.

I need more GN'R bootlegs, anybody know where the best place is to get them without trading?
Uh... here?
The download section?
-
Sounds awesome, so wish I could see them at Twickenham in July but alas, the only seats left are pretty shitty.

Pink Floyd - Earls Court '80
Are you sure that's a bootleg? I thought it was released as "Is There Anybody Out There?: The Wall Live."
I think most of it was, but some was taken from other performances I believe.
-
What are some live bootlegs (any band) that you would consider essential for every fan to own?
I'd say...
Guns N' Roses - Chicago '92
Pink Floyd - Earls Court '80
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Royal Albert Hall '69
Metallica - Seattle '89
Led Zeppelin - Live on Blueberry Hill

Just got my copy of Gorgoroth 'Black Mass in Krakow' DVD...
I have never seen anything like this on a stage before..
" Nothing has been more controversial than Gorgoroth's concert in Krakow, Poland on February 1st, 2004. To augment their stage setup for the DVD shoot, sheep heads, blood and nude models were on stage as the band played. Polish authorities investigated allegations of animal cruelty and "offending religious feelings." The band was not charged, and the incident caused their notoriety to grow even more. Finally that infamous concert is available on DVD.
Black Mass Krakow 2004 is Gorgoroth at their most evil, sporting corpse paint with all of the aforementioned props on stage. Those props are a bit unsettling, especially the sheep heads, but that's exactly what Gorgoroth wanted. Gaahl is a scary looking dude to begin with, and when he's on that stage surrounded by all that stuff, he's even scarier. With all of the theatrics, Gorgoroth's music may get lost in the shuffle, but they play their brand of classic Norwegian black metal with a lot of skill"
One of the best dvds iv seen for a long time...
Teaser... Gorgoroth - Procreating Satan (live)
Gorgoroth would fucking rip your heart out and eat it in honor of Beelzebub if they found out you dug these guys:
:rofl-lol:
Speaking of Poison, where has everyone's favourite Wikibot been lately?

He's mindblowing, really a brilliant guitarist.

Cream - Disraeli Gears
Queen - Queen
Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love

It's going to be impossible to choose between Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero 4 when they come out. It's a bit useless even talking about it though because Rock Band 3 and Guitar Hero 5 will be in the works by the time they even get released here . I want the drums, the guitar is boring.
Get GH4 then.
GH Drums = So much better
Agreed, the cymbals are gonna make all the difference for me.
And nice pic in your sig ASR. B)

I bought some GN'R music videos years ago, but I haven't watched them for quite some time.
During my birthday this year, I received the following:
1. Iron Maiden
2. Nirvana
3. Pink Floyd
4. Foo Fighters
5. Some charity concert helping get rid of starvation (Velvet Revolver make an appearance.)
I'm guessing the Floyd one is P.U.L.S.E?
Really amazing concert, would be perfect if Roger was there.

Yeah, but I think he originally said 3 was the last one as well.
I just don't think this is the last we'll hear of Snake...
Anyway, I REALLY want to play MGS4, but I'm probably going to have to wait until Christmas then ask for a PS3.

Wow, it's been a while since I posted on here... I make it at least six years.
This should be one heck of a tour.
