Who the fuck is Brain or BH??

They were hired musicians, not "old members" of Guns, so no need to talk about them at all ;)

They're the musicians you'll be listening to for years to come on 'Chinese Democracy', that's who....

Hired Guns? oh please, like we haven't heard that term used a thousand times before, Mr. Originality.

Thanks for pointing out that this term has been used a thousand times before Mr. Obvious :P

There is no need to be original when it comes to those guys ;)

I'll be listening to Axls music, Axls voice. Unfortunately without a beautiful solo by Slash but rather some shredding crap by some paid, unknown musician.

My point is, I don't care about some Brain guy being in the band or not, if he's out, there will be someone else. As long as he can play his instrument well enough to perform AFD and UYI songs, it's fine with me.

I do believe Brain is still in the band compadre!

You know how I think about that Ron :)

but seriously, what's the difference if Brain or that current guy (what's his face?) are on drums???

  2. He can't REPLACE BF, not many can. Yeah Robin can play anything, but Bumble's got that invincibility, like Bucket... they're AMAZING guitar players.

I don't think that technical abilities are the key for Guns. Izzy owns any of the hired Guns when it comes to songwriting together with Axl.

What's the use of a technically perfect player if he can't write classics like Patience, You could be mine, etc.??

All those guys seem to be able to do is shredding (Better) and Guns was never about shredding but about beautiful solos like SCOM, November Rain, etc.

Therefore Izzy is by far a good enough player for what Guns need and he has the ability to write great music together with Axl

  3. the new Guns N' Roses (which kicks the shit out of the old)

    Stupid fuck!

I agree, what a stupid little motherfucker!

He didn't work with the old band, so he just shouldn't compare them. Also anyone who hasn't seen the old band live and compares that to the new hired fucks should shut up about it.

Still it's some news and that's better than nothing

  4. they're touring, so I assume the album is finished and "ready" to drop, then it makes sense to drop it before christmas late november to second week of december at the latest

if it's not finished they will end the tour and go back in the studio, drop it until may, do a summer tour in europe and again a fall tour in the states

on the other hand this is just bullshit and total speculation anyways. But with the tour and the website and so on, I still believe that they're planning to make it happen this year

  5. STOP MAKING THESE THREADS!!!

Seriously, it's pathetic! No matter how much all you shitheads complain and moan about giving up in the end you WILL still come here, you WILL go to the shows and you WILL buy the album when it drops. If people are so gung ho on giving up do yourself a favor and get the fuck out right now... People act like there's nothing to do with life when the album doesn't come out. That it's either put your life on hold and wait or move on. Each and every one of you however will probably still go out, have fun, listen to the music and you WILL get the album when it comes out.

    :lol::lol::D

  6. Man, you used to be my hero, but your attitude is now UNACEPTABLE. Why?:

1- Fire Marshall fault? Its GNR Camp duty to have everything settled, days before playing in each venue. Like maximum capacity in a venue, fireworks limitations, alcohol limitation, etc. Its GNR Camp fault NOT KNOWING this in advance.

2- Like someone said: "Pyro's is no f*ing excuse. I was just there 2 weeks ago for Godsmack. they had big pyros. Motley Crue last year? Big Pyros. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't the freakin' pyros". Is not that the fire marshall over there HATES AXL, so he prohibites GNR using pyro. NO! Its not like everyone in this world is against YOU AXL.

3- For the fans? Are you kidding me? Are you serious? I think most of the fans prefer watching a show without pyros (and maybe knowing the reason why there are no pyros), than no having a show AT ALL!! Or take one more day off and travel to another city to see a show with that includes the "all mighty unreplaceble" pyro.

4- Were is the rock n roll man? Stop the bitching and do the fuckin show without any pyro and just say "fuck the fire marshall, that asshole didnt want us to do the freakin show, well here we are fucker!!". Its more a diva attitude than a rockstar attitude to cancel a concert cuz of this.

5- Cant you go just make an accoustic set instead? Like a more intimate concert? What in the world stopped you from doing that? It would be a more fuckin special show than those who have the normal set with pyro.

5- Fuck it, this is fuckin horrible to the tour, less people are now, willing to go to a GNR show cuz of this. NORMAL fans just doesnt appreciate this stuff.

Its a fuckin LAME EXCUSE axl AND YOU KNOW IT.

    Damn right! I second that!

It always looks like the whole world is against Axl and Guns at least that is what Mr. Rose is bitching about (setlist, etc.).

Show some flexibility Axl, just do the show for the fans and don't use the fans and their "high standards" to excuse this cancelation. It's like Mr. Rose can never be wrong, it's always other people who fuck everything up for him.

The whole band is not flexible, they can't change sets and stuff cause they're not a real band and most of the songs are not their songs and they're probably not familiar with the whole Guns catalog.

Ok, that's probably too much, but whatever :P

  7. That would suck for all the new members. After all their hard work, Axl is just going to abandon them? I don't think so, at least not right now.

    agree 100% !

Hard work?? What hard work? I don't see any results yet besides that they're able to play their instruments! Couldn't care less about them.

Cool part of the tour is 1. Axl 2. Izzy 3. Sebastian Bach , that's it :D

  8. Ok, so where is the new album? seriously people, do you think it will ever see the light of day? I know axl knows some of the tracks have leaked over the internet, and he did not seem to care, as far as I know. So my question is....where is it????

Oh my god, they got internet connection in a fuckin trailer park, we're doomed!!!

    :sleeper::sleeper::sleeper:

  9. Yeah, great show!! Perfect Axl voice!

Fincks solos (besides beautiful) sucked monkey balls and were just lame. Seemed like there were 10 guitars on stage when Izzy joined. Well, I guss you need 2 guys to make up for 1 Slash... :P

@username: did you wear red pants??

    Yeah man!

    And occasionaly a white shirt.

At the times I wasn't I was the guy looking like a chimp.

Next time just take the guess, shout "RON!!!" real loud and if I look in your general direction it's me. :P

Saw you after the concert heading towards the merchandise thingy on the right side and your friend also came along. But you seemed in a hurry so I didn't want to bother you :D I was standing with 4 of my friends just a few meters away.

I have to say in real life you look even hotter than on the forum pics!!:P

  10. I think the lengthy solos serve two purposes: First, they give the new members a chance to have their moment in the sun, which is cool. Second - and most importantly - they give Axl a chance to recover between songs in the set. If you recall in 2002, Axl had to run backstage during and after almost every song to catch his breath and do God knows what else. This time, he didn't do that, and his vocals remained solid from start to finish. Just my opinion.

well, then maybe he should try to get in better shape for touring. He knows that doing a rock tour is extremely challenging for voice and body. He should be in perfect physical shape.

He's still MUCH younger than Mick Jagger so I don't quite get it why he would need all those breaks.

On topic: way too much solos. boring as hell. one, maybe two is enough. moment in the sun? go write a kickass album then you'll get your moment in the sun

  11. I thought Ron was awesome at this show. He's come a long way from the first Hammerstein show (where he had seemed overwhelmed by it all and stayed glued to the side of the stage). He's now moving around the stage a lot more -- and is quite charismatic onstage, which is cool.

I also thought he was EXTREMELY smart to add "Don't Cry" to his solo. Brilliant! He had been under alot of criticism from fans for his weak guitar solos during the Hammerstein shows -- and this change was very very smart. Well done Ron!

My only criticism - please lose the hat Ron. I mean - really - a ski hat in the Summer? You have great hair under that hat, so why hide it?

As for comparing Ron with Slash - or anybody else for that matter - why would you want to do that? They're two different musicians with different styles and different energy. Like comparing apples and oranges. Can we - for once - not bring former GNR members into a discussion about a current GNR show?

I agree, you can't compare any guitarist of the new lineup with Slash. You might be able to somehow compare their "technical skills" on the guitar even though that is probably not comparable.

What you can't argue about is that none of the new guys wrote classic guitar riffs like in SCOM, WTTJ, NR, etc. What they do right now is basically playing the solos Slash wrote/co-wrote.

So Slash with no doubt up to this point contributed a shitload more to what has become "Guns n Roses" as any of the new guys. They have yet to proof that they can't only play, but also write new stuff that lives up to the expectations that are connected with the name "Guns n Roses".

The new songs we have heard so far have no solos that can come close to e.g. the above mentioned 3 "Old GNR" songs.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing the new guys with this post, this is just the way it is right now. We'll see what they can deliver in the future.
