I couldn't tell you how much I love this performance. The song helped me through very rough times.

Fucking love this song.

I know some people says it's not that good of a movie, but The Excorsism of Emily Rose is the only horror movie that actually had a real impact on me (yet). I've watched Salo and Cannibal Holocaust etc., but didn't really find those scary, more disturbing.

I read that is was 12 as well. Am I the only one who's not even surprised by these things anymore?

I started out reading HTGTH and this forum in late 05 and eventually joined this place in 06, at that time I wanted every bit of information about Chinese Democracy I could possibly scrap up.
I signed up at HTGTH but got bored of it pretty fast.
Exactly the same for me actually. I posted under a different username back then though.

Kinda related I guess..

Very cool indeed. Kanye is without a doubt one of the most influental rappers/producers of his time. Anyone disagreeing with that is just butthurt by the fact that he can get away with some of the things he does. He reminds me a lot of Axl, actully. Also, he wears a kilt.

I think it's part of an overall strategy to "play possum" if you will. Remember the theory that Axl decided to release some of his weaker meaterial on the first CD volume, because he knew that it would be met with such backlash and bias that it was inevitable the album wouldn't live up to the hype the industry created for it? I think something similar is now part of Axl's plan... tour smaller and smaller theaters, doing less promotion and selling less and less tickets until people are tired of slagging Axl and beating that dead horse. Then, the tastes in pop culture are bound to swing the other directsion, because that's what always happens. By the time this and other smaller club tours draws to a close, expectation and ravings of the general public can ebb to the point where Axl can unleash new music and a new arena tour to a general public who's had it's palette cleansed by the cyclical nature of popularity.
Are you serious?

Still no videos of Mama Kin and Dead Flowers? I'm on my phone, so can't really browse through all the pages.

Worst thread ever.

So fucking temted to see them again. It's like they're following my friend and I's trip around USA. First NY, where we saw them at the Ritz, then Miami, where we are now, and then Cali, where we'll be on the 12th.

]When I first heard on the radio, some days before the album became available, Ain't It Fun, I knew I was listening to a classic track. It still rates as one of my favourite Guns N'Roses songs ever, even if it's a cover. Its so raw, and real. I love it.
One my favourites also actually, though I tend to forget it. Axl's voice in that song is just so raw and real, as you put it. And the guitar.. Love that song!

Hmmm..I wonder if the holiday inn I'm staying at is within walking distance.

Who is Tina Chang?
Mercks assistant.

I would love to see that happening. Didn't they do this at a concert back in '92 or so?
-
I read someone discussing a documentary earlier in the thread (I'm on my phone, so can't remember who or where). Just to add to the theories, I noticed DJ walking across the back of the stage before they went on, with a camera guy behind him, filming him walking across.

Just woke up after last nights show. What can I say that has not already been concluded? Absolutely amazing show! KILLER setlist (was about to die when I heard You're Crazy), great crowd with a great overall atmosphere and the band was just tight. Amazing night, thanks to all who was there. Only thing bothers me though: how did I NOT manage to catch anything? Damn. And Powerage, I saw you shaking hands with Axl, lucky bastard. But how could you not with a spot like that? front row, right in the middle. Thought you were going to get crushed when the mosh pit started.

Powerage, i see you man I'm in the lobby as well.

See you at the show :D
