This was a cool episode. Great to hear someone passionate about GNR, and rock in general, led the project.

The looped one without sound. I believe it’s before the intro one?

I’ll be at this show. First time seeing them since 2019.

Yes, I downloaded it to Kindle.
I downloaded the free sample the day it came out. At the time, the full Kindle version was available to buy. After I finished the sample a few days later, all versions had been taken down
What I read (the sample went through bands in high school) I enjoyed. I look forward to reading the entire book.

I seem to remember an interview with Mike Clink where he said the RQ outro was one of the few suggestions he made in the studio. So I always thought that was his influence, as others have implied. However, I googled but couldn’t find anything.

I was there in Salt Lake City, on the rail off center a bit to Slash side. This was my 5th NITL show, but first in 2 years.
Overall I loved it. Whenever I’m there live I don’t notice the imperfections. At the end I of the day, I’ve loved the band since 1988, no band will ever replace that, and I love seeing them, warts and all.
It’s a great 2.5-3 hour rock show and you get your money’s worth. I wish RQ and KOHD were condensed like others have said, but enjoy Witchita Lineman and love Seeker.
I agree with nycgunner on how Slash steals the show. I saw GNR several times without him and it makes a big difference.
Dead Horse was a blast. I hadn’t heard Shadow live and I feel it’s a highlight. Crushes the studio version.
I agree with others that it was sold out or nearly so. I noticed cheapest tickets had dropped to $43+fees on TM over the last week or so.
I flew in for the show. I don’t know that I’d do that again anytime soon, but would certainly drive a few hours, even if it is the exact same set list. It’s just too entertaining to pass up.

Locomotive rehearsed start to finish (without Axl). Fingers crossed...
Also rehearsed Dead Horse for some time.

Me too. I’m planning On getting to the venue around 2:00.

I didn’t grab any extra unfortunately.
They were will call pickup only, with the need to present ID before picking up. I’d assume that’s why they aren’t on Stubhub?
-
Yes I think they disappeared yesterday. Hopefully they’ll be back.

Pit tickets are now on TM...$280 after fees, in case anyone else is interested. I grabbed one on Slash side.

Alright, flight booked. Is anyone else going?
Any leads on pit tickets are appreciated.

I'm hoping to make it to this show. Haven't bought a ticket or booked a flight yet.

I was there and had a blast. It was my 4th NITL show. I scored a front row Center section seat when the VIP tickets came back as “regular”.
It was great meeting @GoBuckybefore the show (thanks for the beer). It was my first time hearing Prostitute (agreed, with a few flubbed lines) and Yesterday’s live. I thought Axl sounded great and entire band is rolling. The set was long but I can see myself ever complaining about that.
Mom still amazed at what this band has been able to do in the past 1.5 years. So happy for them and last night is a night I’ll never forget.

Similar to others, I saw SCOM video in early summer '88 and it blew my mind. Sometime that summer i got AFD on cassette and I played that thing out. By the end of the summer MTV had WTTJ and (I believe) Paradise City in heavy rotation. Each video showed a different side of the band, and to me there was nothing cooler than them, especially Axl.

I got a Godzilla litho on Buyee for $80

In case this helps anyone...
I live in the States and really wanted the shirt with samurai bullet on front and kanji on the back the moment I saw it.
Someone from Japan seems to have posted some of these shirts on eBay for $110 USD inc. shipping. They seem legit (not knock offs) but I didn't want to pay that much if I didn't have to. - http://www.ebay.com/itm/322405022924?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT . Most of what I've seen on eBay appear to be knock offs.
Since Yahoo Auction prices are pretty good, I looked into the Buyee service which for a fee will act as a proxy. I created an account and connected to PayPal.
I pulled the trigger and bought a Large shirt like i wanted for $63 total, so almost $50 cheaper than eBay. It'll take longer to get to me, but I'm in no huge rush. As long as it actually arrives and my PayPal doesn't get hacked it'll be worth it
I've also been tracking the Godzilla lithos. One went for $66 USD - http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/u131074728 a little while ago. There's another out there with a But It Now of $90 USD - http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/q143886391. Most of the other Japanese merch is out there too. Using Google Translate allows you to find what you're looking for.

1992 I was in high school. My friend and I had tickets to see them early in the year at the Palace of Auburn Hills near Detroit. The show was rescheduled, then ultimately cancelled. So I guess there's nothing I could've done for that show. However, they played with Metallica that summer at the Pontiac Silverdome, 20 minutes from my house. I believe my family got back the same day from a vacation, but I don't remember even particularly wanting to go. Huge mistake...my friends who went, who weren't (and aren't) even huge fans, still say how great the show was.
I finally got to see them in 2006 in West Virginia. It was an awesome show, great memories, but still wish I could've seen them in the 80's or 90's.

I attended tonight. Great show! Of course, the Periscope and YouTube videos don't give the full feel of his great Axl is with AC/DC. He seemed to be having a blast all night, and was chatty as someone mentioned. Even while Angus was playing solos he was dancing and laughing. He sounded great all night as did the entire band. Cleveland Tuesday!!
