  1. So, basically, this week Slash said that Chinese Democracy was the perfect Axl record and that yes, he's a cancer.

No, THIS WEEK we learned a lot of you can't read and/or comprehend things.

    1) Saying it's a "perfect Axl record" seems quite loaded to me...

    2) And you reading this and taking away that Slash agreed with the substance of what Axl was saying doesn't say much for you...

  2. "The cancer thing, I'll go with him on that, that fits into his description of things. I wouldn't use the word 'cancer' but I haven't gone anywhere and I don't seem to be going anywhere so that's justified,"

He's not agreeing with the content of what Axl said. He's saying that if Axl has that big of a problem with him and the attention he gets, then get used to it beause he and it are not changing anytime soon. This writer is just a dumbass in conveying a conversation.

    What.

How hell did you pull that, from that line?

    outta his ass :xmassrudolph:

It's called inference and reading comprehension.

It seems nut $ w i n g e r s are incapable of this, but you should atleast attempt it some time.

    Can you read? Comprehend?

Read Kickingthehabit's post for a detailed explanation. It's just the way Slash talks about Axl these days. He's not agreeing with him, but seems to be trying to give him the benefit of the doubt for the stupid things he does and the skewed reality of the way he views things. I personally wouldn't give it to him, but whatever. Then again maybe Slash doesn't give it to him personally, but is just trying to seem neutral in interviews because he regrets discussing the negative things when promoting VR the first time around.

  4. If we put aside all the egos aside and who played on what, CD is the GNR record the fans deserved.

    Haha

How exactly do you know "what GNR fans deserve?" Let alone what they actually like. One of the dumbest comments I've seen and that's saying something.

  6. Didn't Axl say in Asia they were touring without management? Because then that could be the reason why management is not getting money... Anyway how did this issue get to TMZ??

They may have been touring without management, but that doesn't mean they aren't entitled to money for setting it up beforehand. Most of Management contracts have to be bought out for a few million bucks too if the client wants to move on based on things I've read.

  7. It says they are suing for profits from the tour. Not sure what the contract's particulars were but usually if you part ways with management they don't see any money from deals they didn't do, so unless they booked these shows I don't see how they can claim they are owed money from them

I doubt this is Azoff's first rodeo....

Isn't this company tied to Ticketmaster? I would be surprised if they filed a lawsuit without pretty good grounds, atleast in their mind. Back to the Ticketmaster connection... No wonder we're not getting a US tour yet...

  8. They'll win. You can't hire people and then not pay them.

Nah. I'm expecting this to magically float away like all the other lawsuits we've seen.

This is Irving Azoff's company. He's not going to lose, mainly because I doubt he'd file if he didn't think he'd win.

  9. I just listened to the whole Slash Album. If you are a rock guy (like I am). This KICKS THE FUCK OUT OF CHINESE DEMOCRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go listen to Ghost featuring Izzy, should have been a Guns song.

And where, pray tell, did you get the whole Slash album?

He stole it from Axl's hotel room...it was next to the bourbon and tissues.

  10. It has tarnished the legacy. It was greeted in the US with a yawn, if that.

Oh, yes, and the US equals the world. :violin:

Go on spitting bile, boys. If it makes you happy. For my part, I appreciate progression. Nothing more boring than the same sound from a band album by album by album. <_<

If you appreciate progression and different sounds/type of songs you'll surely like Slash's solo album much better than CD. But then again, most people will so that doesn't really make you special.

There isn't nearly as much "progression" on his album as some people believe. But, hey, there's another section where you can discuss that album without it being trolling.

    Ali

I'd appreciate it if you'd quit trolling on my posts. Thanks.

But she's right. No way the album will be more (I don't like this word) progressive than CD. Not that it reallllly matters but Slash's album for the most part will probably be the same the whole way through, bar the few soft songs.

You think Slash's album will be the "same" the whole way through? Have you listend to the songs or the preview clips? How about we just substitute "styles" for "progression."

Let's for instance compare the range of songs like "Gotten" to "Nothing To Say." You honestly think CD is more diverse and wide-ranging than that? Slow acoustic driven song to what sounds like Heavy Metal at times. Maybe I didn't hear all the songs on CD, but I don't recall that range.

Bold part: I hope you just didn't word that in a bad way. Are you saying you haven't listened to CD all the way through?

    My response everything else: SorryShacklersTILTWAT.

It's called sarcasm pal. There isn't that much style differences between Sorry, Shacklers,TIL, TWAT -- It's all electric guitar rock. Sure some are more ballady, but just because it gets softer and harder doesn't make it a different style per se. Atleast not as much as going from acoustic ballad to speed metal rock song.

  14. Yeah, because Ozzy would really write a song about his former band FOR A FUCKING SLASH ALBUM WITH REFERENCES TO ROSES,ETC. Move along.

oh jesus, champ i dont care either way. i was just pointing out how absurd it was for you to be so matter of fact about it after only citing 'some sabbath fans'.

I'd recommend the art of reading between the lines. Obviously I referred to where the discussion was originally done in an effort to convey that you could find the actual conversations there.

    Objectivist my ass.
