  1. Much better CD book, a good pile of insight from Axl,

    and no pictures of SuckBucket.

    win/win

I have seen pics of this cover, in the jewel case wrapped in plastic.

Where did these come from, was it ever actually released anywhere in the world.

I would have to guess by the 2008-2009 copyright (if these are real)

The plan must have been to have these on a pressing made in 2009.

(still unusual, and it makes it all seem fake,

with the track list being the same,

no reason for the 2009 to be listed on the book)

    So,

    crazy ramble, worked all night.

    Has ANYONE,

Seen an actual copy with this cover,

or were the jewel case pics just well done photoshops?

  2. No thanks.. Only period I dropped Guns.. I thought it was over.. So these days are optimistic ones for me.. :)

    Wow, same for me.

My least favorite of all the line-ups.

Could not take them seriously with Bucket, and that whole cast just looked dumb.

(I know looks are not what makes the music, but they did not sound very good either)

    - One Bucket of Large chicken.

    - One Goth Rocker.

    - One Punk Rocker.

    - One Alternative Rocker.

    - One washed up looking/sounding butt rock singer.

Etc, it looked like the "Island Of Misfit Toys" from the old Rudolph X-Mas TV Special.

I never could get into the Axl Rose project version of GNR until the 2006 line-up.

Axl was actually on tour long enough to get his voice sounding really good (this is when they should have released Chin Dem and just kept it going)

Still think 2006 was the best NU-GNR cast.

    .

  3. You will always see Poison being called a Hair/Glam Metal band but you will barely see the same being applied to Guns N' Roses. Maybe you should actually first learn the difference between standard Hard Rock and Glam Metal before you make silly comments in the future.

    You are an idiot.

Bands always try to re-write their own history.

So because Axl denies his past, you swinging and licking his nuts makes it true?

What does Axl have to with this? Call me a **I am a stupid cupcake;Just Ignore my post**? You even know who you are talking to? Maybe you should read some of my posts on here when we thought this place was closing if you want my real opinion on Axl Rose, the man.

Like I said learn the difference between Glam Metal and Hard Rock - makeup has jack all to do with it IMO - here's the hot tip you can't hear makeup on record so obviously something makes a genre right?

I do understand the differences between the two bands, and there are many.

My point is that in 1986, they also had many things in common.

  4. ^ I would bet that no one here agrees!

    I know, I know.

Nu-GNR is much better than classic Guns N Roses.

Nu-GNR's one album that went Platinum on the strength of the bands past and legacy,

definitely trumps the classic band that was the biggest in the world for about 5 years,

and recorded one of the top ten selling rock albums ever.

    What was I thinking.

Nu-GNR's accomplishments that I stated above are definitely out of this world, and over the top amazing B)

  5. Let's say GNR has a reunion, but not with the classic band but with the band that Axl had envisioned after original GNR broke up. Lemme just point out, before anything, that I love the new band and can't wait for what they have in store for us but I'm just speculating and was curious to yours/general publics opinion. Replacing DJ and Ron with Finck and Buckethead, Tobais instead of Fortus and Josh Freese on drums. I think it would be pretty sweet, I feel like they would develop their sound more rather than having to change it once we got DJ and Ron in. It would be interesting to see.

    You are retarded.

A reunion of a scab line-up that never even fully recorded a released album.

    Whats next?,

let's reunite all the 2001 scab line-ups of SKID ROW, L.A. GUNS, & FASTER PUSSYCAT.

    They can all tour together,

    We can call it the

    GUNS N' SCABS TOUR 2011!!!

All your favorite 80's songs played by cover bands.

    Wooooo-hooooooooo!!!!!

Just bring back Slash, Izzy and Duff.

Or, even better just end it.

If I had the choice of

    - a reunion of the AFD/UYI era GNR

    - or the end of GNR

    I pick END IT.

A reunion will not give them back the fire and determination they had in 1987.

And Axl has done a a damn good job of destroying the GNR legacy all by himself,

I don't think he needs any help from the others.

  8. the beatles were no different from the stones...they came out of the 60s, they played guitars, they wore mod clothing!

    *gasp*

The Beatles & The Stones were/are both great bands.

Yes just like GNR & Poison they came from pretty much the same time and place as each other,

    and mostly looked the same.

If anything, this just proves my point more!

  9. They both came from the same Mid 80's Hollywood music scene,

both had hairspray, makeup, and the glammy clothes that go with it.

both were influenced by many of the same bands.

Slash even tried out for Poison before he joined GNR.

Seriously, lumping GN'R with Poison should be a capital crime/instant ban round here.

[edit]The Beginning - Hollywood, Never On Sunday and the Orphan Child

The band started in Hollywood, Ca in 1993 under the name “Never On Sunday” with Roxy Saint and Sharmet sharing vocal duties. Although the roots of the band can be traced back a few years earlier and 3000 miles to the east… Boston, Ma is where Chris, Greg and Shawn would play parts in two different bands before heading west (Lost Angels and Touch Me Hooker).

After playing some show’s around Hollywood and building some Major Label interest from Hollywood Records. Internal conflict created mostly by the business side of the music industry would tear ‘Never on Sunday’ apart. Singer Roxy Saint would release the 'Orphan Child' CD in 1995[1] that used many of the bands most popular songs, including "Bimbo On The Phone", "Sunshine", "I Rule the World", and "Best Friend/ I Can't Explain."

[edit]Back to Boston, Soundtrack to a Suicide CD

By the late 90’s the guy's in the band had grown tired of the Hollywood lifestyle and returned to the East coast. Around 2001 bass player Greg 'Bang’ returned to Boston from New York City to join a revamped version of the band to be called ‘Stars Underground’. Long time friend Ron Arsenault would be the singer and with a couple dozen songs already written the band quickly headed into the studio with Joe Laquidara (former sideman for Boston (band)). The ‘Soundtrack to a Suicide’ CD would be the result, and the band started playing shows around Boston and the surrounding area's. Everything seemed to be going well, but as communication within the band started to dissolve Greg and Ron headed back to California where the "Soundtrack to a Suicide' CD[2] was released in an attempt to put together a new Stars Underground line-up on the West coast.

    [edit]Self Titled CD

A couple years later a CD simply titled ‘Stars Underground’[3] was released, and the band played some shows around Boston with Ron, Chris and Shawn as the only original members. The song "See You Around" was released to radio, and got airplay on Boston's WBCN. The bands website and CD artwork would feature the four original members; even though bass player Greg 'Bang' was not present for any of the shows during this time period, a fill-in bass player was used.

    [edit]2006 Reunion

The last re-emergence of the Stars Underground was 2006 when all four original members played Dragonfly Club in Hollywood, CA. With this came the re-release of the Soundtrack to a Suicide CD[4], sold through the bands website. A couple new songs were played at the show along with talk of a new CD getting recorded. After a couple more live shows around the Boston area, the bands website was taken down and all has been quiet since.

    [edit]Zombie Strippers

In 2008 former lead singer Roxy Saint would have a major acting role in the horror movie 'Zombie Strippers.' The movie would star A Nightmare on Elm Street's Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), and Jenna Jameson.
