  1. I don't think it's up to Axl who gets invited.

I would imagine they are certainties to be inducted. The whole "Will they? Won't they?" that'll surround it is great publicity. Will Axl go? I doubt it, but you never know.

I understand why he wouldn't want too, people can say "Well it's only for one night.", but it clearly wouldn't be. He shows up and then it's "Why not one gig? Why not one tour?", he's made it clear he want's to put talk of a reunion in the past. A video message would be cool though.

Lookin' forward to it anyway, it's nice to know there's a guaranteed source of GNR controversy on the horizon.

  2. 4. The look on peoples faces when that weird song.. It's like bedebop dang dang or something  came on when the lights went out

It was Blue Moon, the anthem for Man City.

Pretty good choice actually. Where I was City fans loved it and everyone else got a good laugh out of daft American's attempting to understand football.

Anyway, it's a shame a sizeable chunk of people were unable to stay to the end, because they missed out on an incredible show.

  3. I have all the respect one could have for both new GNR and cover bands, but I think this was just a bad bad idea on BBF and Frank. As if there aren't enough "over glorified cover band" jokes floating around about the current GNR, this will not only spark more of them, but partly validates them.

Really? It was just a bit of fun. Lighten up.

Awesome thing for them to do.

  4. This band has way to many musicians. I hope Axl trims some of the fat the next time they take a break.

    I disagree

Way to back up that disagreement.

If I remember correctly, this band had more fame and success with only 5 people on stage instead of 8-9. This isn't fucking Slipknot or Rammstein.

Axl, Slash, Duff, Gilby, Sorum, Dizzy, Tracy, Roberta, Teddy Zig Zag. That's 9 for a start. So they've been like 'fucking Slipknot or Rammstein, multiple years before either of those bands existed.

  5. The only reason I can see him doing it is because it would make him millions upon millions of dollars.

Axl's a pretty smart dude, and I think he knows that even if the book was accompanied by with a DVD containing video evidence that everything he says is true, people still wouldn't believe it. There is little to gain from it in that respect, because PR-wise, Slash won that war years ago. All a book from Axl would do is re-affirm people's beliefs either way.

That said, he wouldn't lose anything either, so why not?

  6. That's the girl from Gossip Girl, right?

Anyway, sounds great. Lucky motherfuckers who got in, unlucky to those that didn't. Either way, it's an experience you didn't expect to get anyway, and from the sounds of it you won't forget it.

The band looked like they were having a blast, and not having to run about everywhere did wonders for Axl's voice. Maybe a full-blow acoustic mini-tour is too unrealistic, but it would be nice to see them play more of these.

  7. Yes, it's safe. Or at least, it's as safe as anything can be in the world of GNR.

I presume they say 48 hours with the tickets to cover themselves. I've never recieved tickets that late, most come a week or two before the event at the latest.

So yeah, if you've bought your tickets, booked your flight, sorted out your hotel, there is no reason to think that anything will go wrong.

  8. Original Guns would break records if they toured. Bon Jovi and U2 and everyone else would be left for dead.

    If promoted right, yes.

I think it would have to be hyped some. I'm not so sure even the OG band could still fill stadiums, without a little buzz.

It wouldn't break records by any stretch, but it'd certainly sell out stadiums. I can only talk for England though.

As for if they can sell-out two nights in one city? Again, can only say for here, but I guess we're about to find out. I'd honestly be pleasantly suprised if they manage to sell-out two nights at the 02. Aerosmith didn't get close to selling out one.

  9. On O2's website, both dates are still listed. You can't buy tickets for either, though you can still buy hospitality packages for the 14th.

So by the looks of things, they've sold out or it's been cancelled due to lack of sales. Always the extremes with GNR.

As for Bon Jovi, GNR could've been releasing albums at regular intervals for the past 20 years and likely they wouldn't shift as many tickets as he does. That band is a fucking juggernaut.

  10. It's all a conspiracy.

Hell I'm even part of it.

I get paid a dollar for every post.

Not really but every news media is pissed cause they don't talk to them lol.

    Nope.

The reality is most of the relevant media could care less about this band.

It is these boards keeping it alive; These boards that Axl has single-handley managed to split right down the middle.

If they did not care they would not be printing or speaking of the band. But they are...

Like I said, most of the relevant media.

Guess you must be talking about those "Sun" tabloid papers. **rolls eyes**

    Define "relevant media"?

  11. "If you're going to be late, at least play your hits."

    Spot on

    Which hits didn't they play?

Anyway, the two people who mentioned Slash in the video (and Duffy apparently. The girl who sang 'Mercy'?) must have been about five years old when Slash left GNR. Get a fucking grip.
