Does anyone know who plays first? I dont want to be there too early but i dont want to miss the rival sons. My guess is they have to be second around 18:15 but i cant find an answer in the paper or with google.

I was walking around in Amneville, different spots in the Venue - the sound was shit everywerhe.

Axl's voice is one thing. Sometimes it is much too loud, than much too low. I remember Nightrain, he came back, startet singing and he realized it is much to low, so he gave it all, and in the same moment the soundguy liftet him up - i think everybody in the place was holding their ears, way too loud.

Other thing i don't like. 3 guitars. On the easy chord based songs like KOHD and NR they are fine und you can hear them clear. But the riff based songs, all you hear is like one loud guitar noise. WTTJ, such a great riff over A, and if you look at the gusy, everybody plays it different (Dj is playing Power Chords up the neck, Ron on one String and Fortus low - but i am not sure on that), but you dont here one thing. bad mix.

It was funny, my friend who really knows everything from AfD - after 30 secs into nightrain he asked me what they play. He was kind of shocked when i said Nighttrain, and to be honest, if i didnt knew it was in the set at that place i might have struggled.

Good show, great set, Axl sounded superb if you could hear him - That was maybes the worst sound i ever had at a show! how hard can it be to mix 3 guitars so don't just hear guitar noise? Aweful.

Best Song: November Rain, his Voice was so strong, really great Performance.

Setlist superb, but he lost the Audience after Sorry, too much new stuff in a row. But he got the crowd back at SCOM.

All in all, good show, a little few people (maybe 5000 to 6000), fucked up sound, but had a great time! French girls - nice!

Just came back from the show - absolut perfect show and a very nice trip to zürich.

arrived at the hotel at 7, 5min walk to the venue. As said, not sold out i would also say maybe 10,000 people were there. Murderdolls.....well i have seen worse openers and better ones, but actually, it was ok.

Guns was actually pretty much on time i didnt expect them so early. Axl's voice was just amazing the whole night. He didn't talk much but seemed in a pretty good mood.

Setlist was absolutly perfect - i was reading the setlist from earlier concerts, and i thought maybe they cange, but even if they hadnt played shakler and so on - if you are there, the setlist works awesome. basically you have a nice time.

highlight was shakler for me - absolutly amazing with the voice, and that song has so much power - Awesome! TIL was great to, and as other have mentioned. All together, just an awesome night with actually no lows for me and people around me. It was funny that some old hardcore fans behind me (in there 40's looking like coming straight from the 90's) were absolutly amazed after the first songs "dude, this guy still can sing like crazy".

Another positive thing in my eyes are the solo's. in 06 - teribble (maybe finck's fault? ). but on this tour, as it is not a solo but almost all the time a whole bandjam, it is just not such a killer as it was. I thought the three guys got extremly good feedback for thei stuff.

Well, One day off now - next stop, Amneville, La Galaxie tomorrow. Let's see how it goes there.

Even if it personally doesn`t matter to me if this is Gnr or Axl ".." whatever (cause in the end, it is about great music), my question would be:

Have you haver questioned yourself if this is wrong what you are doing with the band name?? I don`t know, but maybe sometimes you watched an old live concert or something like that, and you have the feeling, that you can understand people for attacking you on this, because what you (might) see and remember, is what made people fall in love with this (old) band?

yesterday i played a friends guitar and he uses guitar rig. software plus foot control that you get when you buy it. i really have to say, awesome stuff. really great sound, easy to handle ect....

so i was thinking bout bying it. what i don`t like is that you have to have a computer with you, if you want to use it. as my laptop isn`t that new, it would not just be bying the software and the foot control (400$) but also a new lap top, as i would love to use it when you are playing somewhere, gig or whatever....

so what would you use if you wanted one without using a computer. I read a lot of positive things about Line6 stuff. Worth bying it? Easy to handle? Good to use in jam sessions??

If anyone knows good products, let me know.

Didn`t we had the discussion a while ago?? Who was/is the best something in the band??

To me:

1) Bucket: The technically best player, no doubt, but to "perfect", no stage presence and the worst thing, not even a little bit of feeling in his play

2) Slash: Totally other way, compared to bucket, lousy player, but the attitude, the style, song/lickwriting, stage presence and the FEELING is unique.... that`s why i was the best gnr guitarist

3) Ron: perfekt mix of both, that`s why i like him to stay. Even in my oppinion they just needed two guitar players, ron is the right man up there

btw: In my eyes the most underrated player in the band: Mr. Fortus...he has everything you need for Rock n Roll

And for the drummers?? Hm 3 posts up mr.drummer said it right i guess.

Brain is technically a bad ass drummer, funk n beat, hip hop....but Rock?? i think that`s why he isn`t able to pull off the YCBM start . I think Matt was a lousy drummer, so to me (and i saw both this summer) Frank is in the middle. Stage presence, power, beat feeling and the funky shit too, you can hear that while they are jamming on stage...

After 12 hours of waiting with 0°C at Rock am Ring, it was 1.41 am and i heard the longest "Do you know where the fuck you are" scream.

I was wondering what you guys think about Guns N Roses promo. Well i know there isn`t really any promo. But lets take Merck`s words. 13 Tuesdays left.

In my opinion if it would come out this year, he would have done everything right. I mean face the facts.

Guns isn`t the biggest band anymore. We don`t live in 91 anymore. So no matter how good the promo would be, there would be no lines at the stores, and they wouldn`t do a "top first day selling" no matter how good it would be.

Just imagine, i am six hours ahead in time zone, go to a store buy it cause it`s there, and then come here and spraid the word. We would do the promo anyways and i would say not even 24 hours everybody, in the time of interent would know about this thing, even papers and magazines. So why spend millions on advertiseres and whatever, just to say it will be out in two weeks? Would that make any difference (to us fans it would but marketing like)??? Would it make a difference if it goes number one in the first or second week??

what do you guys think about that?

Anyways, i didn`t buy it even if it was just 10$. No artwork, no specials and the show wasn`t even complete, ended after Coma.

hey i just read on the aerosmith board, that a summer tour, icluding some festivals is plannend, and that guns n roses and van halen are supposed to be on board.... i don`t know.

@joe and all you need is a pc, a line in and a software. if you have no clue about this, like i do try krital, freeware and very easy and you can learn some basics about recording stuff and play around a little bit or if you have an idea just lay it down.

hopefully we got some people here who know about using software and stuff. normally someone does it for me but i decided to use little home recording software, so i tried kristal software. it`s free and actually pretty easy to use.

but how do i get all the layers together. if i record three layers and save it, it`s gonna give me three layers saved. so how do i make "one song" out of this, so i can burn it on cd or something???
