    Axl

Very nice message from Axl. I consider myself very lucky to have seen GNR live in January. It was amazing. :)

  2. I didn't see that this character was that much like Axl. I think it was a statement about frontmen in general. Brilliant film, I LOVED IT! I wouldn't have gone to see it if I hadn't read this thread. So thankyou for that!

Yes, great film! I love Aldous Snow so I was looking forward to it lol A few parts actually made me think of Axl... I wonder if he'll watch this movie.

As for African Child, I think CD is definitely better. :P

  3. Very interesting reading, thanks for posting! I really hope Axl wins this one.

Azoff sounds like such a manipulative prick!!! Just the fact that he addressed it to William Bill Bailey shows what kind of person he is... :fuckyou:

  4. Hum, sorry but I think this petition is a bit ridiculous. Even if a million people would sign it, Axl still wouldn't go on Oprah and it's probably better that way! It's obvious that she would ask questions about things that he probably doesn't want to talk about. Why would he put himself through that?

  5. Good question and interesting answers from everyone. I was happy enough to see Axl on stage for the first time in January. I just wish I was closer to the stage though, like right in front or something. Maybe I could have met him after the show if I would have tried, but I didn't. I have mixed feelings about meeting Axl in person. Like someone else said, to actually sit down and talk to him for a few minutes would be amazing, although I would be intimidated at the beginning, but just a quick hand shake and an autograph would not interest me... unless I could get a hug like the one he gave to that Asian girl. That, I wouldn't mind at all... Lucky girl. :P

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to meet another one of my favorite singers (not Axl) and to go backstage. What a disappointment... The band members were all hitting on me like crazy, and my "idol" was soooo freaking drunk. Everytime he talked to me, he kept spitting like crazy. Not really what I imagined. So I said goodbye and went home, pretty disgusted. :rofl-lol:

  6. I like how we report and celebrate Axl's 'good moods' (him being spotted for 2 secs smiling) as if he is some kind of beast that needs to be monitored at all times.

    I do feel the love.

    LMAO!!! :rofl-lol:

I just watched the video. Love it!

  7. From the show I attended (Ottawa), if I had to name just one, I would have to go with This I Love. Absolutely amazing vocal performance from Axl, and the band nailed the song. I had chills through the whole song.

Other great ones would be WTTJ, Sorry, Patience, Knocking on Heaven's Door and November Rain. As I said in my review of the show, I was also very surprised with how good Scraped and Schackler's Revenge sounded live. I didn't expect that from the bootlegs I had heard. When you are there, it's totally different.

  8. A lot of red confettis from Paradise City, and the whole show on CD. I can't stop listening to some of the songs from the show, especially "TIL", which Axl sang perfectly that night in Ottawa. What a great souvenir!

  9. Now that's what I'm talking about! lol Great reaction from Axl. He didn't seem embarassed one bit and if he was, it didn't show. Not like me this morning. I spilled my coffee all over a table in a crowded public place and wanted to dissappear. If it happens again, I will think of Axl and handle it better, with a gracious smile! :rofl-lol:

  10. Please mods i guess we all agree to change the tittle to Axl and GnR twitter bla bla bla

    From Mr Foot!

COLOMBIA!!!! Woke up 7am & flew over on "MNG" Airlines. You know "Meet-N-Greet" Airlines. It's where every 10 minutes as you're finally falling asleep, someone taps you on the shoulder, you quickly open your eyes to a barf bag and a pen in front of your face. Makes me jump every time, lol... Got to the hotel in the afternoon, wanna sleep, shower, go up to the room and nothing's workin' - no internet, AC, no electricity at all, no shower, no cold water, just *this* coming out of the sink: http://www.twitpic.com/1bwmub Dragged my luggage back down to the lobby, told the folks at the front desk there was a problem with the particular shade of brown coming out of the sink in my room, I was looking for something more purple-ish brown. Found out there had been a water main break near the hotel, part of the hotel got screwed, it's slowly getting fixed. Brought my things back up to the room, played some geetar, then had a nice evening with the crew at a temple singin' songs, sayin' prayers, eatin' good food and celebrating Passover with 'em. Got back at midnight, greeted fans in front of the hotel, and am happy to say the hotel room is now fully functional. Yay. Feelin' antsy, wanna go out and do somethin'... will probably just lay low and go to bed - gotta keep myself in one piece for y'all tomorrow... Gnite!

I love that message! I'm glad that they were able to fix the problems at the hotel. Aaahh... The joys of travelling!

  11. Yeah, it sure feels good to see Axl being so happy. Like I said before, he seems to really have a good time on this tour, and it's great. I sure noticed that during the Ottawa show.

  12. This need of appearing cool and nice at all cost is a bit tiring. That is what Slash does imo, he always wants to be the cool guy, the nicer one and these comments about how Axl is great and bla bla bla show how much he cares about appearing that way at the eyes of everybody. Because, you know, Axl is the asshole, the tantrum boy, the dictator... :tongue2:

That's exactly how I see this. I will always like Slash but after reading his book, it seemed pretty obvious to me that he likes to look good in the public eye at all cost. Sometimes I just have a hard time believing him... I find him a bit hypocrite. Axl on the other hand may be "brutally honest" according to Slash, but I prefer that to someone who will only say what he thinks people want to hear. <_<
