Can Axl drive? By that I mean legally with a license. I remember reading a quote from Izzy saying he didn't drive. Seems a bit odd to buy top of the range cars then not drive them yourself. I don't know how it works in the US just that it's quite different to the UK, would you have to take a Drivers Ed class with the public if you wanted a license?

yeah he can drive. He owns a lot of cars and there have been sightings on him in malibu driving so i guess he must have.

Also if you ever saw the better video, axl was driving a ferrari enzo in that with a police escort.

Doors open 19:30, there's an opening act too, so I'm guessing 21:30 start.

What an amazing show. Axl and the boys appeared to be having a great time. Ron charged around on stage and even took Axl's mic from him at one point. Tommy clowned around to the point that he balanced on one leg, karate kid style, for the duration of a sustained final musical note. Richard freely moved around the stage showing his usual energetic style of playing. Frank was unstoppable on the kit with plenty of extra drum fills and energy. Chris and Dizzy didn't miss a beat either with Dizzy clearly showing his talent during his solo. Hats off to DJ Ashba for continually attempting to flick his picks to a couple of disabled fellas up on the second level seating. After a couple of failed attempts DJ made his way upto the disabled fellas via a rear entry door and knelt down between both of them while still playing. You can't get much more up close and personal than that. Axl appeared to be having a ball. He showed plenty of energy with strong vocals for most of the show. The interaction between the band and the audience was fantastic with DJ, Ron, Richard and Tommy continually communicating with the fans. Axl even poured some beers and handed them to the fans, via security of course. He even introduced us all to a lady friend of his and her nicely rounded puppies! To round it up, everyone, except the two ejected people, appeared to have a great time. And regardless of the cold and rain the place was full, with the exception of the most distant lawn area. Here's hoping that you guys get the same kind of experience, that i did, with the remaining shows.

So somebody knows someone on another forum, who knows someone in vegas who told him this. Doesnt exactly seem like the most believeable backstory...

But even so, how would removing a cutout of slash be supprising or weird. If the current band were playing a residency they would want to focus on the current band, that is just common sense.

I believe Duff will be in GnR again one day, just my opinion.

I can imagine tommy doing his own thing for a big of time, and duff filling in for him.

People still haven't learned that there will be no new music. Ever. Maybe you should hold your breath for a reunion while you're at it.

New music won't happen because there's no reason for it (demand from the fans or commercial interest from a label) but a reunion will eventually occur if any of these happens:

1. Axl needs desperately of money...

2. Axl dies before the other guys and GnR will reunite with Myles as the (new) lead singer...

Axl has been treading all day on yahoo. Over a 10-15 min interview that really didn't reveal anything new for the folks in the forum other than he would vote for Obama, which I disagree with but that is my opinion.

This should show or prove to him what making a few appearances here and there can get a buzz about him and the band going.

Hope he does it more often.

Agreed for the most part. Hopefully this will be the first of more interviews to come. Let's hope Axl feels more comfortable with talk shows, we all know every other talk show is going to try to get him after this.

he was being diplomatic, he didnt want to support either party publicly probably because it is close to the election, and he doesnt want to alienate people who are from either party.

I havent seen this mentioned yet, but axl seems thinner than the last tour, might be due to not having like 5 different coats on though.

its just a guess, but i think he probably wears layers because of rio and previous times when he was called fat by the press. People tend to wear more layers when they arent as confident about their weight. Axl has always wore hats and bandannas anyway so its nothing new.
