W 23 Axl III

In your classic two guitar band, one guitar is the lead and the other steps way back as the rhythm guitarist. 4tus hasn't realized NO ONE is there to see him. It didn't matter in NuGNR b/c there was no Slash and lines were blurred. NOW, there is no blurring of lines....Slash is the lead...there should be a quiet, non-dynamic rhythm player...who is just in the background, providing a landscape for Slash to play over, simply playing chords in a reserved manner. 

Instead, 4tus is acting like he is now the lead or sharing the lead, and it just doesn't work and Slash obviously feels this. Slash has no interest in competing with 4tus for the guitar limelight - he doesn't have to, he is Slash!!

This could wind up being a big problem if 4tus doesn't step back real fast. Again, NO ONE wants to see or hear 4tus. Gilby knew the role to play - 4tus doesn't. It's not working and probably won't get better.

4tus is a poser who doesn't understand his new role. Slash doesn't need to compete with him, but 4tus is forcing the issue. NO CHEMISTRY here, its plain and obvious. 4tus won't force Slash to "up his game", ala Axl's plan with with Zack in the 90s. 4tus is just messing up what the fans want - a free and happy Slash taking over his rightful role as the lead guitarist of his band, GNR.

Slash is most likely embarrassed for 4tus when he looks over, like "Oh God, look at this poser, what a mess, how did I get myself involved in this? The only that irritates me a bit is Richard.

I think his stage presence / moves are really overbearing and a bit cheesy... The big powerful guitar strikes and holding his guitar high above his head. Spinning in circles.. it looks a bit lame and unGuns n Roses to me. He also seems to showboat quite a bit when Slash is soloing.

I don't think that him and Slash have great chemistry together. 

I think Slash plays better with a more chilled out rhythm player beside him.

HUGE GNR fan here, since 1989. Could not agree with you more, completely took the words from my mouth. 

It actually feels like Slash is embarrassed for him and so Slash is just taking it easy for now, not wanting to look like a POSER, as Richard does. Slash is all about integrity and being the "real-deal", so this all probably feels Las Vegas to him. He's having a hard time getting into it b/c HE KNOWS Richard looks like a poser. 

No chemistry, guitars aren't meshing at all.....Richard is trying WAY TOO HARD and he looks stupid. Could not agree with your post any more, exactly right on.

I'm thrilled about the tour....but combine Richard posing with Frank's playing, and its not exactly blowing up yet. They sound disjointed. Slash is VERY UNSURE, so his playing is not 100% yet. He doesn't know where Frank is going and he knows Richard is a poser. This is hard for him right now. 

Who the hell is Dizzy? He means ZERO in the history of GNR. lol Why not get the 976 Horn section too? Induct them.

I know for myself, that while I am a little pissed at Axl for deciding not to show up, I am much more upset at his childish request to "respectfully" have his name stricken from the record, thus ruining this event for the other members of the band, the HOF, and most importantly the fans, by shitting all over it in the most disrespectful way imaginable.

Trunk is about getting people to watch his shows/interviews. I can score Slash for an interview. No one can get Axl. He will side with Axl for professional/career reasons.

Axl always was cool about being a dick. I didnt mind waiting for hours for them to come on, or even waiting for CD. But the way he handled this, the words he used, his obvious and extreme jealousy of Slash....I mean, te guy cannot even sit in the same building with Slash....WHY?? Thanks Axl for making this mystery less and less of an actual mystery. By acting the way you do, its obvious you are incredibly jealous of Slash and cant stand to even be in the same room as him.

If Axl Rose went bankrupt, you would see how fast he would call Slash. He can do what he wants now b/c of the money he already has. And us fools keep going to shows to support him. This has been part of a plan from the gnr camp....the TONS of shows in 2012 to distract from original gnr being inducted, the girl Axl may be dating coming out this week in the press, the small club shows this year....twas all leading to this.

More reason why I stopped caring, Axl. You just want our money at live shows, thats it. You want to be done with the old band, stop playing jungle, paradise and scom. Start playing Prostitute and If the World. But nah, those songs bring in zero money. In fact, those songs have cost you money.

So keep pretending the old guys were just another incarantion of GNR, and its really all about you.

I think Rod and Ron are cool and all, but I don't think either of them know the true problems, and the extent of those problems. They are speaking as if it's really simple, but we all know the back and fourth comments between the original 5 guys since 1997, and it hasn't been pretty.

So I think these 2 are just producing the "simple" answer and solution, but we know it's REALLY not as simple as 1,2,3.

I really cannot see whats not simple about the GNR breakup. It may seem complicated with the issue with the name, various lawsuits back and forth and musical differences but these are things that are common in the music industry and if they acted as adults and communicated a bit better then they could have worked through it with a little compromise.

Axls people like to use the fact that he wont compromise as a huge positive characteristic but I see it as being whats ruined a lot of his hard work. They are not the first band to ever have huge arguments, but they are maybe the most stubborn, immature, egotistical, pig headed, emotionally retarded group ever to walk onto a stage.

Im sure Axl knows he has a multi-multi-million dollar payday waiting for him if and when he decides to do a reunion tour. If he still has plans for the current-GnR, then just accept the award onstage, but dont play together with the original band. Save that for the real deal reunion tour in the future, don't give anything away now, it does no good if you still plan on touring with nuGuns.

If they sound great, people will want them back now and care less about nuGnR. If they sound bad, if will lessen the impact of the real reunion tour in the future. I say just accept the award and wait for the reunion tour and sign a deal worth millions upon mlilions in a few years.

Axl is afraid of rejection. Very simple and obvious. Not knocking him, just stating the obvious. He doesn't "get" how amazing he is. He is EXTREMELY insecure. Releasing more material opens himself up to more criticism and rejection.
