  1. So the show is pretty much off for 20 something thousand people?

mm not really, the promoter stopped selling tickets cause this was something to be expected, still the organization is a disaster

River Plate is listed as SOLD OUT...was it considered sold out at 40,000?

The whole thing makes no fucking sense

The neighbors complained to the government saying each time there is a concert the people jumping provoke vibrations compared to a 4.3 earthquake and the buildings get damaged.

Really, I was there once when the Rolling Stones were playing. I was 15 blocks away from River stadium and you could feel the vibrations. So the justice said the neighbors were right and River Stadium can't host any more concerts from now on

That's the reason why GNRs show was moved to the other stadium. River Plate was sold out, and lots of fans from Argentina were asking for a second date to be added.

Glad to hear about the new date tho, it was impossible for me to travel in March the 20 but I can be there the 22nd! :D

  2. Use My Brain? Sure extensively, you ought to try it instead of stating speculation as truth; you don't know for a fact this is what happened so please do not spread gossip and B.S., that isn't very productive or helpful ;)

Well lets see now, did the album come out soon after they canceled that tour? Nope, so how is it not the truth? The reason is because Axl was tired of playing to half filled arena's, those shows near the tail end were all pushed back from the beginning of the tour if I remember correctly because of poor sales, so Axl just decided to not do them. The album part was just BS, and history speaks for it self.

You can deny the truth all you want it does not change how it went down. I just think its funny you try to even dispute it.

    If Axl were smart

....and I need not read further.

Thanks, gnr-dave, for adding to the efficiency of my browsing experience!!

You are right Axl never does anything smart or anything that makes sense, like promoting an album after releasing it, and touring right after the album is released.

Good point, at least you admit Axl is not smart when it comes to how he tours or promotes the album.

What's wrong with you? I saw you complaining about the lack of tour now Guns N Roses is touring successfully and you keep complaining!

This is a quote from another forum -not music related- and you totally fit the description

However I do understand that these opinion forums allow for the opportunity for those who do little to preach to those who do the most.

The reason that hardly any of my past crew are not participating in such forums is because we are busy actually doing something.

This of course leaves the forums open to conquest by the hordes of whiners who descend like blog locusts in a feeding frenzy of negativity.

Discussion forums tend to be little more than petty venting rooms for frustrated unaccomplished people who live lives of quiet desperation and who,

if they had any moral fiber at all, would be contributing to solving problems instead of critiquing the campaigns and accomplishments of others.

That's you on the last sentence dave, if you have any moral fiber at all just shut up :fuckyou:

  3. Even though Slash might have suggested anything related to the damn reunion Axl might have stayed silent this time because this is a different situation. He might have just sent his prays to Haiti when he did not try to organize anything like that whereever Slash did.

    Sorry for the poor grammar

Axl didn't mention slash on his tweet so why do some people assume it was addressed to him?

On a side note, pretty low n' selfish usin' the devastation in Haiti 2 start (false) reunion rumors. R hearts n' prayers go out to the Haitian people.

He could have been talking about another person, the record company, whoever. The fact he has tweeted that after slash posted about Haiti does not mean he was replying to him

  4. A minute of Jungle.

Is it just me or doesnt Axl seem more of his old self on stage, more confident, more intense and moves around a lot more like the old days? He looks GREAT!

It's not just you. I thought the same. He's moving around like in the old days, confident, dancing and running like he owns the shit out of that audience, it's much better than 2006/07. And his voice is just great now!

Absolutely! I had the same thoughts when I watched the vids and clips!

  5. Sure :)

Basically the article says that Peru and Chili have already assured GNR will play in these countries in February, and (although not confirmed yet) GNR will visit Argentina and Brazil during their Chinese Democracy world tour.

It also says last time the old line up has played was in Buenos Aires 1993, that although most of the old members are gone Axl has managed to get a very good new line up with Tommy Stinson, Chris Pitman, Frank Ferrer, Richard Fortus, Ron ´Bumblefoot’ Thal, Dizzy Reed and DJ Ashba.

PS: Rock N' Pop is the top music radio station in Argentina

  6. OMG! if he comes to Buenos Aires before March 15th I wont be able to attend the concert cause I'll be abroad: (

I want to see that show so badly! I've been waiting so much time to see him live and then, when he decides to make a tour, I'll be 15000km away!!!

Please, Axl, come to BA after the 15th!!! A desperate fan from Argentina.

It seems they're gonna play in ARG in February, but it's only a rumor
