Still have a ticket for section 8 tonight

I'm just waking up from last night.
Judging by the clips taken mostly by phones, I don't think any of the capture how things sounded live and in person. My personal opinion is that it was an incredible performance. Slash and Duff are flat out better players than they were years ago, and I haven't seen Axl put this much effort into performing in years. I remember from Slash's book that Axl never did soundchecks. He did soundchecks yesterday. They did Coma, which was difficult for a young Axl to perform. I don't think you can just wing that, you need to put in some time and effort. Slash was in the zone. Is' been years since he was crazy and running around, nowadays he focused on playing, but still, there he was doing a big leap for Estranged. His take on the CD material solos transformed those songs from gratuitous wanking into something pretty good. There were too many things that required practice and discussion for me to think that they haven't done a ton of work on fixing their relationship.
People might say there wasn't much interaction between anyone, and that is true, but Axl can talk to people with his mic into other people's monitors that we can't hear, the throne clearly got in the way of that, it's not like Axl was interacting with Fortus, etc. However, there were many times when the big 3 were all in the same space playing. My favorite shot was during the Layla coda, when Duff and Slash came over to the piano that Axl was on and played. All you could see is the big 3 on the video screen and it was a super cool show.
It was an amazing show, don't let anyone tell you different.

Still got a spare C section for Fri and a Section 8 for Sat

So, I have 1 ticket for Friday night Section C, Row Q, and one for Saturday night Section 8, Row V. They're PDF files and I have them up on StubHub atm. Let me know if anyone is interested, and we can talk price.

This is probably all in my head, but I swear Frank sounded like Slash and Duff gave him some pointers, because Franks groove seems much improved on Paradise City

Seems awfully weird to have no listed act for a Friday night...

Everything is amazing, but no one can just be happy

The problem with this is you are either loading all the Appetite material into one part of the set, or you are doing drummer switches all night. Both of those situations are pretty awkward.
I'm sure those of us in the audience will be just fine

Well, I wasn't sure earlier but after Whisky mentioned G N' R by name, there is obviously something going on now.
One of two things comes to mind....the first, some sort of G N' R event at the Whisky....the second, would be Adler rejoining G N' R for the reunion..........possibly both?
Maybe they do their first press conference from there?
-
Have to be honest, I just assumed Adler fell off the wagon, but I can't imagine the Whisky would mislead people so much here, with that juxtaposition.

After Eddie blew up the Whiskey rehearsal show (is that actually confirmed? I've seen posts about it but didn't actually see much), I doubt that he's getting much in the way of inside info at this point. Fingers crossed for good news, praying that Steve is alright.
It's not confirmed, people just assumed
-
Really, all Axl said was they are doing a tour, which is not exactly never heard before info.

Here is that Mates recording with Adler:
I do think the difference from Sorum is pretty noticeable.

Can anyone tell me exactly why GnR would do a big marketing campaign for 5 shows that are already sold out?
And call me skeptical that word that no one is getting along would be anything more than a game of telephone at this point. No one knows, but the shows are still happening, so let's just enjoy that.
-
I think it's pretty clear that no one here is in a position to know why Axl and Slash decided to play together again.

Pretty sure Eddie Trunk was talking about himself holding an event, some sort of meetup while he's in Vegas. Nothing to do with GnR
-
I would guess there is close to zero chance Axl would do the Adler show, but the possibility of Slash and Duff playing with him live to see how it goes, is entirely reasonable.
