It's his real account and he's being sarcastic. Just read his follow-up comment saying that there should be more people like him in the music biz. He's taking the piss - mind you this is the same guy who addressed Axl by his birth name in legal documents just to piss him off, knowing full well how much it would offend him.

Agree,it gets tiresome and some people are familiar with Ron's work,probably the same people that are familiar with Vai, Satriani, Beck, Malmsteen and bucket,not everyone listens to such a narrow variety of music,If you don't like Ron,don't read his interviews,at least he is well spoken,I appreciate Ron,and his talent,and his contributions to Guns N' Roses,the vs threads are useless,It is what it is and no amount of bitching,or whining will change a thing,except make you look like a stuck in the past,fucking idiot.

These shows still send chills down my spine. The show rocked, the band rocked, and the whole audience and crowd rocked.
I have seen GNR a few fimes after this too and my heart still is sold on the Hammerstein ballroom shows.

Axl won't be bringing down Ticketbastard any time soon.
Actually this case may turn some eyes on the operations and mistreatment of Artists by Azoff,could easily cause him some problems with the guidelines the DOJ set forth for him to follow,
if he has not abided by the conditions,this can be a juggernaut to set forth a probe into Ticketmaster/Live Nation practices.

Who here has had experience with an in ear monitor? If you can't hear yourself it is definitely a problem,as is having a less than perfect FOH mix, Don't judge sound from utube,that is beyond ridiculous as most are recorded with cell phones.

Getting back to the OP...You and others keep coming back to to the DOJ and monopoly thing with Azoff...please explain exactly how this figures into this case? Azoff is suing for a piece of Axl's concert receipts he feels he is entitled to and Axl is disputing this claiming Azoff did not earn them so where does the Ticketmaster/ Live Nation monopoly issue figure into this suit exactly?? seems to me Axl's lawyers are throwing as much shit against the wall as possible hoping something sticks..As Azoffs lawyer commented Axl has accused Azoff of everything except having a hand in the Kennedy assassination.
Open your eyes my friend and see reality....Azoff was able to get a blatant monopoly though the DOJ...that my friend is real power...unless Axl has some real proof that Azoff fucked him he is going to lose this case and a lot more than a just money in this battle......sometimes you have to lose a few battles to win the war in the long run........Playing the rebel against the world is all fine and good but if Axl really cared about NuGnR and his career he would settle and move...its called smart business and making an enemy of the person who controls the live concert business in the U.S. is not smart business.................
For that merger (LiveNation/Ticketmaster) to be approved, pretty tight restrictions had to be put in place. The consent decree is one of them. The consent decree is meant, in part, to protect artists from bullying. However, it is not detailed in how this would be implemented so I assume that will play out in case law. Axl's is one of the early cases to test it. I think it will be very interesting to watch. It could be favourable to Axl since the government wants to show that the approved merger will not screw with anyone's rights. If the decree was to protect artists from bullying and Axl can prove bullying happened, or he can show that all of Azoff's actions were moves towards a reunion, then I think Axl has a pretty good chance.
Exactly, that is the reason the DOJ said they would be keeping an eye on the situation, Azoff has already shown his colors by
using a name he knew would cause havoc, that was malicious and planned to elicit a reaction, the merger contained conditions and restrictions, to limit his power in regard to Artist management, I hope Azoff gets fucked badly.

What I don't get is how I could see a topic started called "Axl In NYC", then when I click on a couple of pages it's an all out war of old vs new members, Ashba's better than Slash, vice versa, or random pot shots at each other laid out in full blown paragraphs. I mean seriously, how does anyone have that kind of time? How is that even entertaining? It's not like your going to meet this person on the other side of the world behind a computer, so why bother?
I'm here because I like GNR, and I like to keep up with whats going on with the band, not to bicker about who is a better player, who looks better or how much the band sucks without this or these players.
Sadly it always degenerates into old vs/ Nu or in most cases Axl vs. Slash...All it takes is one negative comment to light the fuse and the thread goes viral...same shit different day........but to the credit of the mods they allow us to discuss things even if they get nasty....better than some of the other Guns forums which are heavily censored I think......

Exactly, IMO Azoff is using his position as ticketmaster's CEO to exert undue pressure on artists, this is what was hotly debated at the Fed. debate, ask Springsteen about Azoff, and I have friends that say he has been a total jerkass since the Doors were on Top Ten hitlist, he has been a despot since then and it has amplified notably, take him down!!

I do not think money is an issue on either side, I think for Axl though this means more than a dollar amount. With this suit Axl is showing that he won't bend on his terms and that that is more important than money

As for Azoff... this is the same Azoff who, upon hearing that Axl was upset about Azoff not using his legal name, immediately went on twitter and posted comments using Axl's birth name, just to antagonize him.
Thus, I fully suspect this is legit. Azoff is another Conrad Black, another Bernie Madoff, and one of these days you're going to see him behind bars. I don't even care about the GN'R connection, but the TicketMaster/LiveNation deal stinks. Although, with the horrid concert season this summer has turned out to be, at least they're eating some humble pie.

By in large, America rejects this as being Guns N Roses. This translates to half empty shows. Half empty shows translates into very unhappy promoters.
Plus, there's the whole ego trip thing which imo, gets in the way of it happening. If they did smaller shows and clubs, everything would be great.
By in large the US has shit for taste in music at the present time, what ego thing are you referring to? yours? I doubt seriously if you are an expert in marketing or management so how can you foresee that smaller shows and clubs would be great? How many times have you seen GNR this year? Ever heard of travelling? they have this new invention called passports that make it possible to visit other countries from the US, it works

I'm not here because of Axl Rose. I became a fan of Guns N Roses after I bought Appetite For Destruction on cassette in 1988. I didn't even know who Axl Rose was. All I knew was that the record was suppose to be really good and so, on a whim, I bought it.
The band and sound....as a whole, is why I became a fan.
Newsflash, those guys aren't in the band anymore - sorry to break it to you like this! It's only Axl Rose that's left from your favorite line-up, you're on the wrong site! Only way an album would come out soon is if Axl decided not to worry about Ashba and Frank being on all the tracks, and just treat it as a solo project where it doesn't matter who the other musicians are.

I hope it also brings the eyes of the Feds to what Azoff is doing in the light of the stipulations of the anti-trust suit, "Monumental Promotion" imo does not consist of a fucking cardboard stand displaying the Album in the midst of Best Buy's electronic isle, the booklet was not the approved version, and the three album covers somehow did not materialize,take that into account with Azoff's recent actions ie: Adressing the suit to a former name,a name change is legal,and I hope they hang Azoff from a hook by his nonexistant scrotum.
