Thank god. Too bad the show that really matters in the long run is gonna end up only being 2 hours.

I truly beleive the show that mattered the most was the one in MTL....He could not fuck up twice in the same city....

Are U sure Axl is on TO ? He likes to travel late and it was snowing this PM in MTL and since dinner time, winds are crazy.... Could be flight issues...

TO is a big city where the majority of people go to bed early and everything closes early....

In 1991, I was at the show on June 8, and at midnight, people were going home, as KOHD and SCOM where playing....

Great to hear Axl's voice was up in the mix compared to Ottawa and I knew Quebec would kick people's derriere and be one of the best shows of the tour....I imagine beer was on sale past 10h30....and fans here are just crazy and love their hard rock.... I couldn't go last night, had to go on Friday and reading your review, I wished I would have been there last night...

We got caught by that awfull 10h30 alcool curfue.... Man, right after Bach, we go to get a beer and CLOSED.... What is this !!! Man, I cant imagine it will be like this in Quebec tonight.....

The vocal mix was off last night...I was 25-30 feet from the stage and Axl's voice was often lost in the band... It was better on low tempo number or the new songs where nobody was singing along... To bad for this cause it was a good show...even if the crow was sleeping past 1 am....and was silent !! The atmosphere was pretty lame at that point....and the solos did not help.... It should kick ass in Quebec on a Saturday night !!!

To bad I cant go tonight....and I can relate with the long drive home to Montreal Eric.... however, 140KM and we we're home pretty quick...except the daughter was up at 7h30 !!!

I was about 30 feet from the stage on finck's side and same problem, Axl was way down in the mix and it caused problems, especially when the crow was singing along...They should crank Axl up a notch.... this is strange since he's the boss.... Or I imagine the sound is good in the soundman's headset but in the venue, it was subpar vocally.... I personnaly thought the sound was not that loud compared to other shows I saw or the GNR gig in NYC on May 12th.... Happy I wasn't in TO if it was least than in Ottawa.... Le Colisé is a smaller venu, it should kick a$$ tonight !!!

the earliest a store can do now, for planograms and shelf space and coop marketing in papers.... is Dec. 5th 2006.... Universal will want a TV and paper mkt campaign.... if it was in the works, you would know because deadline in a paper is usually about 4 days.... and TV, more than a week.... We would have leaks from these people... and I can tell you where I work (www.archambault.ca) , no Chinese Democracy in the database... ans the repd are tentively talking about Dec. 5th.... You need 2-3 weeks for databse entry, ordering, merchandising.....

It's too late for November now....

Forget it, retail stores get to decide how many copies they order, since there is only a % of returns... Also, the record company will want to set up coop marketing and merchandising in the best spots and for this, you need a one month period, with planograms.... also, to receive a CD, you need to have it in your data base, etc.... The minimum time for all to be done is 2-3 weeks...son it aint happening until Dec 5th in my view....and experience in a retail record chain....

Let's face it, Del has made a living with his nose in Axl's derriere.... He never has made anything himself and is lucky to be were he is at, probably getting Axl lefovers in his bed, which is pretty good.... Where was Del James during the 10 years absence and what did he do .... NOTHING !!!

Del James is payed by GNR....and therefore not writing what he thinks but what is best for his employer, AXL !!!

If Better is the best song GNR has to offer, it aint to good.... It's far from YCBM and Civil war, the 2 first singles on Illusion....

I hope they have better stuff on CD....

December 12th 2006..... that's what is on the "probable" sheet our Universal Rep left us at the store today.... It was not a sales sheet but a "probable" list.... It changes quickly because a few weeks back, he was talking about november 14th.... but there was no sheet at the time....

I wouldn't bet my pay slip on CD being out before years end....

Would make sense because after Dec 1st, you're pretty much done for X-Mas...

...has it for November 14th 2006. The universal music rep where I work mentionned the date to us today but no sale sheet is out yet....so it aint 100% sure....

I just bought tickets on the pre-sale... GA Floor ! It doesnt look like they will come to MTL... so we'll take a little drive !!

Missed the pre-sale for Qc City, that's a bummer....

that was a quick one, the show is not even on Pollstar yet....

AXL is the melody maker.... Slash was the riff artist... and togheter, they meshed perfectly !! Today, Axl want 100% control...so we have ballads and mid tempo melody songs.... Or Fink horrible riffs, like on Chinese Democracy and OMG...

At least, TWAt rocks somewhat.... but forget another Jungle, YCBM, SCOM, Coma....

I was at the May 12th show in NYC and his voice is perfect however, in songs where he is not yelling 100%, he is often too low in the mix.... I guess this is what happens when you have 1 drum, 1 bass, 3 guitars, 2 keyboards... Come on, they should cut one guitar and one keyboard.... and have Axl higher in the mix on lower key singing tunes...

Axl just had to get there earlier.... or maybe Axl is pretty happy about this and the fact that these new tracks will not be bootlegged on a TV broadcast quality....

it starts at 20h15 on AOL !!! So about an hour....

GNRFrance reports the show has started with Jungle and ISE.... In North america, we get it with a delay....
