The difference between Billy and Axl is that Corgan has no problems with releasing new music which is in fact awesome. Oceania is so far my favourite album this year. And I have to say Billy sounds better during the live gigs than he did in 90's.

But it's always good to hear something possitive from one of my favourite musicians about another.

Finally have a time to write few words about the show and post my pictures! I hope you'll understand everything, because my English sucks badly. :-/

Went to the show with my girlfriend, we were waiting in front of the airport since 1pm and I was third person who made it to the rail. Those first two decided to stand on the side so I were standing in the middle, just under Axl. It was raining a lot during opening acts so we were drenched and frozen. Luckily, rain stopped before Guns showed up, but still it was really cold and waiting 135 minutes was not very comfortable. There was a fan with a banner saying "Play: Oh My God" what surprised me because I didn't expect such a hardcore fans in Slovakia, haha. After two hours of waiting few fans were booing but once they hit the stage everyone was loving it. We were told that there were about 25 000 people which is awesome for a country like Slovakia. Show was awesome, Axl was in great mood, smiling a lot and more raspy than is usual these days. During the show, DJ was looking for my girlfriend and threw her a towel at the end of the concert. Just before encore, Kat came to us and ask my girlfriend how old is she and if she's alone there. I knew they want her to go to the backstage and asked Kat if I could go too, because I would love to have a photo with 4tus. After PC we were waiting for Kat, she came, but told my girlfriend she can go if she wants but only alone. I tried to persuade Kat but no succes. I dream last 4 years of meeting this band and now I was so close, but instead of me, it was my girlfriend, who prefers old line-up. You can surely understand how i felt.. I was crying during all the way home. GF said everyone showed up except of Axl, she took photos with guitarists and had a drink with Tommy (he was apparently quite wasted). At least I got Tommy's pick, but still...

Oceania is awesome, Corgan still got it. Many amazing songs on this album, like "The Celestials", "My Love Is Winter" or "Pale Horse". Only letdown is "Oceania", it sounded much better live with guitars ( check this RIR version ) instead of those studio synths. Still amazing song and album though.

I was thinking. Axl and Corgan (Smashing Pumpkinks) live a similar situation. Lead singer of great bands, struggling to regain its place on the horizon. Each with its proportions, but the situation is the same.

I've only just started listening to TSM. Eye is just great.

And I would recommend you to check out their new stuff from upcoming record, it sounds fantastic. I've been recently a lot into TSP and Corgan still has it. His guitar tone in this song reminds me a bit of Buckethead but it's just me probably.

Her album is fantastic, this demo is not good. It's cool she's a fan though. She seems to be very down-to-earth and cute in her interviews. And her music is not just modern pop-rubbish ala Rihanna. I'd put her even over Adele.

Slovakia is a small place. Nice but small. I can't begin to think what the turn out might be ?

I think they chose a place perfectly while the are already some big concerts in the Czech Republic this year (RHCP, Coldplay, Metallica, Sting, Ozzy) and for Slovakia this will be the event of the year. There will be fans from Slovakia, Czech, Hungary, Austria and maybe hardcore fans from Poland. I'm not afraid to say there will be about 10k people.

I live 190km from Rybnik and would be possibly able to go but despite this I don't want them to do another European tour before next record. They should spend summer in studio. If they are able to put out new record before summer tour, great. If not, they should definitely concretrate on it. I understand that they toured SA twice since there are most hardcore fans but after US tour there is no reason to continue in Chinese Democracy tour.
