After the Asia/Middle East tour, they will take a short break, then from Late May to July there will be Europe.

I can see North America/Canada happening September onwards.

yeah hopefully it will go like that

    2017

    Jan/feb/mar- Asia/Middle East

    April- break

    May/June/July- Europe

    Aug- break

    Sep/Oct/Nov- American/Canadian Arenas

    Dec- break

2018 the band may take a year off to allow for other projects and to record a new album

returning in the summer of 2019 with a new album and a world tour for 2020 onwards

I heard North America next summer

dont even say things like that. Obv good for North americans but us europeans will be left out in the cold if this happens

Cant see GNR being a download headliner, GNR are too big to be announced alongside other headliners (if are they headlining GNR would have a standalone announcement IMO).

  3. Looks like it wont be Slane castle anyway. Croke park is a good stadium and the bad sound quality is often imagined, here in Ireland Croke park attracts a lot of bandwagoners/event junkies so expect to see a crap load of people at the gig who are just there to get drunk, talk loudly through the entire show and spend most of the gig in the bar areas.

hopefully we have euro dates very soon

Ive seen it ment to start at Croke in  Dublin

    Logistically its impossible

If there going georgrapically then the UK will be straight after

    Norway/Finland and Sweden

    Central Europe

Croke park is a GAA stadium (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaelic_Athletic_Association) where the important matches are played in there summer time. Theres a game there at the end of April and prob a few in May/June. Coldplay are playing there on the 8th July 2017 (leinster hurling final will be played on the 2nd July),

Bruce and the ESB played there last May and Beyonce played July. Maybe the same situation in 2017 with GNR playing there 26/27 or 28th May and then Coldplay 8th July. If the tour was starting in Dublin than the end of May could be the date but if this July date is true than it could be a midweek show before the 8th July (Tues 4th July or Weds 5th July, put GNR's stage up on the sunday/monday and take id down after the show so Coldplay can put there stage up for there Saturday show)

  5. venues that were posted earlier

    Barcelona Spain

    Gelsenkirchin Germany

    Zurich Switzerland

    Amsterdam Netherlands

    Berlin Germany

    Stockholm Sweden

    Copenhagen Denmark

    Dublin Ireland

    Hamberg Germany

    Milian Italy

    Paris France

missing from the list are the UK, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Russia, Norway, Poland, Finland and Greece

  6. Coldplay are playing Croke Park on Sat 8th July 2017 so thats 1/3 croke park concert dates gone for the year

If GNR do a similar euro tour to AC/DC (ROB 2015/16) than a date in the Aviva Stadium (will be free on all dates in July/August and sum dates in May/June). 50000 may be enough demand in Ireland for GNR considering the band will play other countries too but Slane Castle is still a very good possibilite sadly :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

  7. in Ireland a spanner has been thrown in the works slightly (could affect other smaller countries too)

Coldplay have announced they will tour europe in 2017 and Ireland are one of the venues. So they will play 2/3 nights in big venues such as Croke Park, The Aviva or Slane

let them headline Slane so GNR can play Croker or Aviva

Bon Jovi and RHCP have been slugging away for a long time, and GnR have too... but they've also done a lot of damage to themselves.... especially in Ireland. Yep they had a great show in 2006, but in 2010? not so much, and maybe 2012 was good but people still bring up 2010.

Also Bon Jovi and RHCP are both lighter acts, essentially pop/rock... everyman bands, and even more fare weathered fans than GnR or any of the larger rock bands.

GnR could play Croke parke but I would guess that it would be a bit difficult for them to sell out. They could definitely sell 2 nights in the 3arena... but croke park? for me that's an unnecessary risk. But if they can pull it off! why not! it would amazing to go see a proper rock band in Croke park seen as the heaviest thing in croke park is usually u2 or bon jovi and if it's not them it's one direction or some other shite.

The Aviva Stadium may be a better option. Smaller more intimate stadium and ACDC were brillent there in 2015.

Croke Park would be cool but may be a hard sell and the residents would not be pleased with rock fans hanging around the area. Saw 2 gigs there myself over the years Bruce Springsteen and RHCP and the sound was ok,  the organisation left a lot to be desired though. Last may it took an hour to get through the ticket check barrier into the cusack stand and the bars ran out of drink a bit early

A big plus for Slane or an open field venue is that all areas will be available for ticket sales. In Croke Park and the Aviva quite a few sections of the stands are blocked off and would limit the capacity.

Would take a gig in the Aviva or Croke Park. The RDS may be another option in Dublin. Outside of Dublin we have Thomond Park in Limerick, Nowlan Park in Kilkenny and Cork are opening a new stadium next summer. Please not Slane or Marley Park
