You're asking if bananas have appeal?
-
A star in the making still!
congratulations Slash!

Slash is getting a star tomorrow on the walk of fame. Can someone add that to the news wire?

"Someone who is supporting me as strongly as he does is a hand I never want to bite."

hope the man gets better.

They should be called additional percussionists.
-
That's me in the corner...

I thought this thread was going to be about the Congolese Airlines / Aer Lingus merger.
-
It's just sad Slash quit then kept whining about it for so long. If he was that bothered he shouldn't have quit.
Huh?
what? what mate?
I just preferred how Izzy handled it, not so media or whatever.
Well at that time he had been tricked into signing away the name and was just an employee of a band he built, something Izzy never went through. He never really whined about it either. I agree with his perspective wholeheartedly.

Sounds like a song Yoko Ono would make.
-
Hey Marc, what did you think of Apocalyptic Love?
-
kevin made some program like that years ago.
Shouldn't really need to block people though. I don't like a lot of people here either but I got no one blocked.
-
I would have gone with Gerhold Gunn Wylde.

This thread just reminds me that P Diddy named one of his sons Jesse James. lol.

Q: What do you call someone who hangs around musicians?
don't even need a punchline

The fact that the public wanted Slash to return to Guns N' Roses is not Slash's fault.
-
Wasn't Slash rumored to have been offered to join the Stone Roses around 1994?
-
Yeah I knew that. Michael Monroe plays synth on November Rain and Shannon Hoon sings back up.
-
Ok, I did mention dream in my post but I meant that in an abstract way. I didn't mean they would reunite or anything. I just mean fans can be content in seeing Slash live and continue to make albums in the vein of the past albums.
-
He made his "power play" in Guns by trying to force everyone to do his songs with little to no input, and it backfired and broke up the band. That's the sad reality that Slash fans don't want to admit.
He didn't force Guns to do his songs with little or no input. He did his songs outside of guns. It was fair.

I think Slash and Axl were like lightning in a bottle as it has been described. I don't really see how it was a double edged sword. Axl's success was Axl's. Slash's success was Slash's. Just because Slash became iconic isn't really a bad thing for anyone and help sell records at the end of the day. I remember Steven Tyler answering a question on 60 minutes how Tom and Brad feeling like the back up band and his response was that they should be happy they get drive the nice car they drive and live the life they get to live. No reason to feel bad about success. Slash is keeping the GN'R dream alive for a lot of fans. I've got tickets seeing him in a month.
If your GN'R dream depends on Slash, it will never move out of dream status.
I'm not gonna jump in to this nice little Axl vs.Slash war you have going on here, but 20 years should be long enough for any rational human being to understand that some things weren't meant to be.
Your response didn't really correlate with what I was talking about. I was chatting with Miser and the rest for a few minutes. We were just talking about the past, I never mentioned any dreams about the future. I don't know what dream or war you are talking about.

I like Looks to Kill but that is about it.

Not really.
He kind of kills threads in my opinion.
