They're probably like me, started out as huge fans of the band but I've reached breaking point and am so frustrated with the band that it manifests itself into taking digs at them.

Ok I hardly post here but I have to get something off my chest.

Ever since I discovered CD back late 2008 I used to come to this site a few times a day checking for new info on music, but since last year its down to about a week. This band has become so fucking boring its ridiculous, I would have loved to go to a GNR show a couple of years back (they never bring their hundreds of tours to my country) but I wouldn't fork out money to see them anymore. Axl Rose has squandered away so much talent to become a boring attempt at an nostelgic rock act.

And fuck this 'Team Brazil', they are one of the main problems. Why would these hanger ons who were effectively lucky enough to be born into wealth and an easy lifestyle want to rock the boat? Underneath it all, allt hey would care about is getting to travel around the world, making money of these same old tours and living a comfortable life. They don't care if Axl Rose doesn't want to push himself to do new things. And along with this they just feed into this 'everyone is against us' attitude that surrounds them and the band. Fuck em

Tour all the same cities again.

I wrote that I wanted them to continue touring and playing the same set every night.

I think theyll put out a record in the near future.

I became a fan after the release of CD, so it's all about the new music for me. I really could not give a fuck about them endlessley touring greatest hits and covers from the 1980's.....so boring.

I was reading one of those Bumblefoot tour diary entries from 2006 and back then Bumblefoot didn't drink at all, he broke his sobritey and had one drink and was completley wasted. So I'd say he drinks from time to time now but only a tiny amount of alcohol anyway.

Sluggish ticket sales.

I hope this is not the only thing they have in store. Very underwhelming if it is.

Possible scenario- Axl doesn't turn up.

They must really be struggling to sell tickets for Vegas for Axl to do this. It will be a interview based around a few funny stories from Axl and then talking about the Vegas shows.

Can't believe DJ gets hated on around here. He's close friends with Axl and probably actually pushing Axl to think about new music (which is what everyone wants) and people hate on him for it? He wants what you want! What a bunch of wankers the majority of you are.

2009/2010 as well. I think all it does is reinforce the negative views of this current Gun N Roses that are there persoanlly. Doesn't help at all apart from making some coin.

They get excellent reviews and thousands of ecstatic fans leave the shows every night, that can only help the band and create more interest for the next record.

Only us hardcore fans care about them not playing any new songs, the casual fans couldn't care less as long as they get to hear the hits -- they'd probably prefer another classic before a new song. And it is the casual fans the band need to win over, not us...we are a marginalized, irrelevant group that will buy the next record regardless.

No, the average thinks of them as a cover band. Touring the same songs from 20 years ago mainly, after all the stuff Axl has said over the years I would have thought he was very keen to seperate himself from that era of Guns N Roses but it seems like making some money is a higher priorty.

I have no idea how anything of what you said relates to what I said. Did you even read what I wrote? Do you disagree with anything I wrote? The "no" suggests you do, but what follows is completely unrelated to my post. It's like you just used my post as a starting point for a completely unrelated complain about a lack of productivity.

Thing is... Axl seems to prefer pleasing the casual fans that crucified him in RiR and HoF instead of the fans that got his back... that's just not right.

Maybe he doesn't have the impression that we got his back . I mean, if there's any place he should be supported and encouraged it is on the fan fora but all we ever do is complain and ridicule.

Because you said it is the casual fan they are trying to win over, and how are they doing that? By playing the classics? Like I said that just reinforces that they are effectively a cover band. Wrong way of going about it imo.

No, that's the average person on a fanboard like GnFnR. You tell the average "I went to see Guns N' Roses last month," they'll say "Wow, that's really awesome." Reality check. This is what cliques on the internet do to you, and it's a two way street.

Pretty similar setlist to when they last played Moscow 20 years ago. Its getting a bit ridiculous, doesn't help their creditbility with the average fan one bit or a bit of seperation from old GNR which I thought is what Axl would have wanted.

I'd want the Axl hologram that released music.

The next step is probably playing the same songs from 20 years ago unfortunetly for us die hard fans. Can't blame them for doing so but meh I'm tired of it.
