I have feeling the material is not so new - and more along the lines of completed old tunes bloated out with cover tunes.

FIFTY YEARS IN THE FUTURE:

A guitarist dies and is quite please to find that he ends up standing before the pearly gates of Guitar Heaven. St. Peter shows him in, and gives him a guided tour.

"This is Stevie Ray's room here..." says Peter, and the guitarist is saying "Wow! Stevie Ray!"

"And this is Jimi's room..." and the guitarist is totally over the moon.

Finally Peter shows the guitarist to his own room. Before Peter leaves, he says to him, "I have to ask. Is Buckethead here?" Peter shakes his head sadly and says "I'm afraid he went... the "other" way..."

The guitarist is disappointed but goes to his room and tries to get some sleep. He is woken up in the middle of the night by someone playing and it sounds just like Buckethead. He presses his ear to the wall, and listens more closely. The guitarist is confused as it sounds so much like Buckethead. The next day he tells Peter that he is almost certain that Buckethead's in the next room.

Peter pulls him to one side, and whispers into his ear, "Shhh.... don't tell anyone. That's God. He thinks he's Buckethead"

Guitar Hero is done apparently. And engadget while reporting this randomly takes a dig at Chi. Dem.

I don't get why this album is not liked by all. The music in my opinion and many others who I recommended it seemed to like it. But for some reason it gets trashed a majority of the time on news articles. Not only does the music get trashed, they also trash Axl w/o even doing any research on topic matters. When Axl has a great show, barely any media reports. He gets bottles thrown at him, media shitstorm. Maybe as GNR fans we have some bias towards the music and can't see the flaws.

Die hard fans find CD good. Others just want classic GN'R rn'r songs that made GN'R big in first place. Axl does other kind of stuff now (CD). That's why everybody (in general) hates him. I find CD to be a good album, but in comparing with AFD, we all know what CD gets.

say what you want about slash being the perfect fit in gnr buckethead as a guitarist runs rings around slash

But does that even matter? Is GN'R in need of a virtuoso? As far as I am concerned Slash (co-)created the GN'R guitar sound and therefore cannot fail at delivering it.

And I mean Bucket can shred as fast as he wants, the general public isn't going to respect him as long as he is wearing that stupid bucket, and that disrespect really rubbed off on Axl unfortunately.

A CD-re-release is just utter stupidness. Come on! Guns N Roses have been on a Chinese Democracy tour for over 10 years. It´s time to let go!

My ideal 2011 plan: release a kickass rockin new album to coincide with US tour. Having a new badass album would probably get renewed intrest in the band and will increase ticket sales

Bumblefoot is a cool guy but I don't like his guitar work. Solo albums are ok, but it's not something that works well with GN'R. He has no feelings in his playing, his like a robot. DJ if fine, Richard too!
