    I don't understand all the Fortus hate. Lets call a spade a spade, he is 5x the guitar player that Gilby is. Now of course, Izzy would be my first choice. But if he is not part of the equation, why in the world would you want Gilby over Fortus? Other than you just plain hate all things nugnr related. I myself am of the opinion that I want to see the best possible version of Guns n Roses, and given all the past members, Fortus IS the 2nd best guy that has ever had the "Izzy role" except for Izzy himself.

    Australian tour boss pours scorn on idea of original lineup working with him - but admits it’s been fun to “share this fantasy”

    Australian promoter AJ Maddah has shut down rumours that the original lineup of Guns N’ Roses are set to join his Soundwave festival next year.

    Speculation exploded after guitarist Slash last month revealed he and frontman Axl Rose had settled their differences some time previously, saying: “It’s very cool at this point.”

    He refused to be drawn on the question of working together again – but that didn’t stop fans discussing the possibility, then settling on the idea that the reunion would take place in Australia in 2016.

    Maddah tells Music Feeds: “It’s been nice for me to share this fantasy for a few days along with the fans – but it’s not happening.

    “I sure hope those guys do get back together again. There has never been, or ever will be, such a potent force for rock’n’roll than the original GnR in full flight.”

    And even if it does happen, Maddah thinks it’ll take more than six months to arrange. “I think it’ll take a hundred lawyers six months just to get the five of them into a rehearsal room together.”

    But he adds: “If by a miracle it does happen, I’ll throw everything I can to be involved. It would be my last act as promoter – after that I’d have nowhere to go.”

    AXL AND SLASH HAVE A BETTER RELATIONSHIP BUT DO NOT WORK TOGETHER"

    Guns N 'Roses released a statement clarifying that Axl and Slahs will no longer work together.

    They will be aware of the commotion that ensued following statements by Slash on reconciliation after many years with Axl Rose . The enthusiasm of the fans and speculation of a possible return to play together not long in coming.

    Therefore, Guns N 'Roses through a statement out to calm the waters and put cold cloths to the situation.

    "I just can talk about GNR GNR. All that happened here is that Axl and Slash are on better terms. Far be it for now plans to re-lock together. No need to fan the flames of any particular option at this point, "says categorical statement that is not the issue.

    Meanwhile, Slash also addressed the issue on the agenda of Eddie Trunk. He argued that there was talk, but it was exaggerated by the media. Asked about the possibility of return, he said that he could not answer now asked not to talk about it anymore.

    It seems clear. It is a resounding no, but only for now. In less than we thought more developments.

    " James Young, owner of the cherry bar, said"i heard the most amazing rumor this week, from a very well informed heavy hitter in the australian music industry, giving me the name of the headline act from soundwave next year, we know that a mystery band has come in and saved the festival and now owns it, so they now have a big say in it. Well I have heard 'fantasized' on wednesday, night, steven adler, duff mckagen, slash and axl rose, the refamation of the original 1987 appetite for destruction , guns n roses lineup, can you believe it? its incredible, ive had sleepless nights .." starting in melbourne next year in January

    Sorry I didn't do this earlier, but I needed to borrow some equipment to record this.

    Tell me what do you think. I'd love to sing on this project!
