You know, I don't know if the pepole hanging out on this board are all 20 and 30 year olds but you all sound like a bunch whining little bitches. I am 48 years old and as much as I like hearing everyone's feedback on the shows I resent the constant bitching about the lack of periscope access.

Believe it or not folks there was a time when we just went to concerts without knowing what the set list was going to be and you know what we had a blast. You are are all spoiled little pricks as far as I am concerned. The constant bitching every night about Axl not having enough rasp or his clean voice is gone is getting real old. Guys  this is is not 1988, if your expecting them to sound like that band every night you are dilousional. Another thing I see a lot of is, I guess Duff and Slash are just giving in and playing CD songs. What a crock of shit, like you personally know Duff and Slash.

i was at the Philly show and it was an unforgettable night. It ranks up there with the show I saw in Hearshey when they were in their prime. Just be glad they are back together and giving their all every night.

I hate all the easy access that is available every night, sorry you all missed out at the excitement of not knowing everything before you go to a concert.

You can all rip me now but I really don't give a shit.

    I'm with ya...too much fuckin bitching...they're playing great shows...just enjoy...damn!

  2. Was looking up Mach 22 and came across this.

MACH-22 looks L.A. and they sound L.A., so much they won Guitar Center's "Onstage With Slash" contest over three thousand entrants. The thirty gees MACH-22 scored in that battle of the bands was obviously sunk into the production of their debut album, "Sweet Talk Intervention", because it sounds as pro as could be expected for a new group. Better, MACH-22 includes the progeny of CINDERELLA's Jeff LaBar, Sebastian, which offers extra buzz for their press junket.

It's no fluke these guys were handpicked by Slash himself. "Sweet Talk Intervention" is super-tight and stocked with the ingredients for success: popping rhythms, humming bass drives, sticky guitar riffs and an energetic vocalist who exhibits a solid combination of street sense and a soulful command over his delivery.

They are what 8--10 shows into the (after 23 or so years) and it's supposed to be 1993 again?   WTF

    Exactly!

A lot of bitching going on. Maybe Steven & Izzy will show up,may'be not. From the start it's been advertised Axl,Slash & Duff with no other expectations. If they show up cool...but they're playing great shows so I'll enjoy that.

A lot of you need to understand that the band isn't designing the setlist for those of you following along nightly on Periscope. There are a lot of people who don't sit on MyGNR every night and are only seeing this show one time - and the band wants to give them the most complete show possible.

And again, this is a big stadium show and also their first (and who knows? Maybe only) time coming back around, which means they're drawing a lot more 'casual' fans than a typical tour might. Trust me, when you're on that stage, you want the crowd going nuts as much as possible: I had great seats right up front in DC, and as much as I loved Coma, there was a significant portion of the crowd that, while they were into it, clearly didn't know the song as well as, say, Brownstone or Patience. The band doesn't want to turn off half the crowd while they run through 8 minutes of Locomotive, a deep cut for the diehards. They gave us Coma - that's for us (and Slash). Plus, all the Chinese stuff is pretty foreign to most of the crowd - especially TIL and Better.

As for why they play The Seeker? The simple answer is that the band probably likes the song. And isn't that what we want? A band playing a song at their most energized? Trust me - when I was listening along to the Periscopes, I was like "eh, this song is pretty boring." When I saw it live in DC - when I saw Slash jumping up and down rocking the fuck out to the song - I loved it. Some things aren't meant to translate well over the internet.

Nobody ever complains about Maiden or Metallica playing pretty much the same set night after night.

Exactly. It's only the 4th show of the tour and already I'm tired of hearing about hope they change the set list or about ticket sales. Just enjoy the damn shows...too much nit picking.

some of ya'll are crazy. I came back from the show fully expecting everyone to be as amazed as me and saw things like "feel bad for the KC people" or "glad that's not MY show" like stfu. I was there and it was phenomenal!

The crowd was INSANE. Guys a row or two in front of me passing a joint back and forth, everyone on their feet the entire time, people high fiving each other after songs lol. Girls puking as we were walking out. You have to walk up this embankment to get back to the road and people were literally crawling up it on their hands and knees. TOTALLY felt like 90's era crowd.

    A couple of things:

    - couple of guys sitting beside me said RQ was their favorite song of the night. Another guy, while leaving yelled "they sing The Who better than The Who!" All the GnR staples got massive roars when they'd start, SCOM probably the loudest.

-Axl was super smiley last night. Someone was holding up a sign and he pointed at it and said "that's good". After Coma he goes "well that was festive".

    - Slash also pointed and smiled at someone in the audience during Seeker. He's more mellow on stage and it's super easy to get pics of him because of it lol. He also became more undressed as the night went on.

    - Duff has CRAZY stage presence! He's on the left, then the right, up the stairs, down the stairs. He plays with the crowd a lot, I can't tell you how many picks he goes through each concert. He sounded awesome, his background vocals really come through

When you're actually there, you're not paying as much attention to song tempo or a missed song lyric. You're just in the moment and on the most intense adrenaline high. I thought Axl sounded fine, he'd let out a scream and the crowd would go wild. ONLY "mistake" a heard was him blowing the whistle late on PC but even that was like something to registered for a split second and then I didn't think about it again until reading the comments here. I came out of it wanting to leave my life and just become a groupie, it was one of the best nights of my life. I probably looked like an idiot the entire time, I couldn't stop smiling.

so yeah, I know it;s easy to sit at home and be like "mess up there...oh, missed a note there...." but everyone who went that I saw was like THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME"

    Nice!
