  1. I love Axl Rose. I love the man, I love his music and his work. Chinese Democracy is my favorite GN'R album, I've seen him live twice, including Rock in Rio, one of the best days of my life, and I would be the first one to buy another concert ticket if they played here in Brazil again. But, although I supported Axl when he released his letter, I feel different now.

Yes, HOF is a questionable institution, yes, Slash MAY have lied about him and never apologised, yes, something that we will never know MAY have happened, yes, he always said he was never going to reunite and he sticks to his convictions, yes, he is respectful with the current band, yes, yes, yes...

But seeing all this party, all this awesome night with amazing concerts, jams, speeches... What did Axl win with that? Nothing. He was there at home sitting in his 36+ Chinese Democracy songs that we will never hear, full of anger for watching those guys have a great night. He could be there as well, thanking those guys for the great past that they spent together, making a tribute for all that Guns N' Roses used to represent... But no. Damn Axl, you will regret this. People will ALWAYS remember this, everyone will always remember how Guns N' Roses reunited without you, with the Slash singer! Everyone, specially the media, will always remember how without you, Guns N' Roses played an amazing concert, full of joy and rock n' roll. Yes, this is Guns N' Roses. Just as Axl's band is Guns N' Roses. Actually, the truth is... None of them is, for real, Guns N' Roses. I don't know if you're ever gonna read this, but I know you read the forum sometimes and I'm writing this thinking that you're gonna read it, and thinking that my opinion is relevant.

I used to support you because I used to believe in you. I used to believe that you're gonna release new music, and change rock, and move on past... Well, you claim to have moved on, but you don't. You play Appetite For Destruction almost full every concert, there are no plans of releasing new music, there is no nothing, only endless pathetic touring. Which I admit, I'll be there again if it comes to Brazil again. You had a whole year to prepare to Rock in Rio, those guys rehearsaled today and they played an awesome concert, but you managed to forget lyrics of November Rain at Rock in Rio. With all due respect, Myles wouldn't have forgotten.

The different between you and Izzy not attending is that Izzy never cared for this. It sounds very contraditory, but you didn't go to an event that would boost your ego, even being the most egocentric person in the world. But that's not because you're humble. That's because you can't forget. You can't forgive and forget whatever happened in the past for one single night. You're too proud. Axl, you have no family, this way you're gonna die alone, sorry. Alone, and full of regrets. This night, made me realise that rock n' roll is all about what happened today. Gilby wasn't even inducted but he was there, he partied and he played and he had a great night! He doesn't care! He will be remembered for being there, but more than this: He will remember this night forever. Perhaps, the biggest memory from this night that you're gonna have is the same live-stream we all got on your computer screen.

If you had been there Axl, this would be the biggest event in entertainement industry since the Led Zeppelin reunion in 2007. I dare say it would be bigger. Axl, I love you, you're a great musician, and sometimes a great person, but sometimes you're just the biggest asshole on Earth. Sometimes man... sometimes you suck and I hate being your fan, and to be honest, it has been a while since the last time I was proud to say I'm an Axl Rose fan.

    This sums up everything:

That's all you are. A big face in the screen, a big question in the air, a big joke in the event, behind the awesomeness of the Guns N' Roses reunion without you.

Breath! Chill! You take things too seriously.

I'm not taking things too seriously. This is a serious issue. It's the Guns N' Roses reunion, it is never gonna happen again in any form.

  3. Oh my god... It was so fucking awesome.

If Axl had been there, the world would go down, and this is not an exageration.

    That's the truth

It would've been the greatest rock news since Led reunion in 2007.

    I dare say "bigger".

  4. Oh my god... It was so fucking awesome.

If Axl had been there, the world would go down, and this is not an exageration.

And that makes me really sad and at the same time angry with Axl. He's gonna regret that for the rest of his life.

  5. Well... Axl doesn't want to reunite because he claims to have moved on, but there is no indication there is going to be new music anytime soon or any new thing.

    Hypocrite much?

He just lost. It was amazing, it was superb, and Axl lost it. He is the only one who loses here. Poor Axl... Sometimes I used to think that something really bad happened in the past that would justify his actions, something we don't know about. But honestly, nothing justify such a big stupid act. Axl, you're an asshole. If I had to chose between seeing you or Slash live you know I would pick you man, but you're fucking asshole.

Well, they didn't need you, you let Myles perform as Guns N' Roses. You must be proud.

  6. The Good And Old Axl Way of Living

It deserves a deep study the tension created by the indication of Guns N' Roses to the Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame. Starving for a revival of what that the vast majority didn't even live, fãs expected the reunion of the Guns N' Roses to the mainstream media, and, by consequence, to the ears of youth. Singer Axl Rose position is conclusive: There is no hope for those.

On the other side, it sounds awkward the close relation that the media has with the ginger boss. He has been absent from the mainstream media for almost two decades, but he is still drags attention wherever he goes, being mentioned even by tabloids like TMZ (the Lana Del Rey case, for example), what ilustrates well the myth that surrounds the man. It's like if Coca-Cola had stopped making advertisings for twenty years, and would still be people's favorite drink - quite likely, actually.

The Guns N' Roses sucess formula, is known, was the mix of everyone's strong personality, and certainly, Axl's stood out. It was up to him to be the center of attention and be the stairs that would lead Slash, Duff and the others to sucess. On the moment that this formula didn't work anymore, there wasn't a reason to keep trying. Nothing would be more artificil than a forced reunion "for the fans". If today, Axl goes between ups and downs, is for pure rock n' roll. He doesn't own respect to anyone, he is an immutable hardheaded stone. Good for him. In his opinion, it's everything all right.

Be authentic, ultimately, be Axl Rose, is paying the price. Is be contrary to everything and everyone. People from the Facebook era, obviously, spend hours talking about a possible reunion, speculation about Axl's decision, criticizing Chinese Democracy after the first listen, among other things. But, even aware of the sucess potential that a reunion would have, he keeps steady. Why? Because to him, Guns N' Roses is not only his band, his source of money and prestige. Yes, it's a lot of that as well, but it is, above everything, his life, for more corny as it sounds. And, it seems that it's the case, in his life there is no space for the old Guns members.

Of course, explaining that to a Guns teen fan - and some adults - is hard, and he knows that. "Maybe if it were you it'd be different. Maybe you'd do it for this reason or that. Peace, whatever.", said Axl on his letter. As Rolling Stone US colunist David Fricke said on his Chinese Democracy review "To him, the long march to Chinese Democracy was not about paranoia and control. It was about saying "I won't" when everyone else insisted, "You must." You may debate whether any rock record is worth that extreme self-indulgence. Actually, the most rock & roll thing about Chinese Democracy is he doesn't care if you do". If you see Axl as a miserable scraped rock figure, great. Now, if you think that only because you were thwarted, then you made it: you're wrong-headed as an Axl Rose.

Axl Rose is the vilain. Isn't he?

The recent declaration of Axl Rose regarding his absence in the Rock And Roll Hallf Of Fame shouldn't have surprised to many people. I don't know how people created such a big expectative on a possible Guns N' Roses classic line-up reunion. After all, if that would have happened any time, it would have already happened, because there were many proposals, for sure.

But what I can't understand is the way that Axl has been treated after his long and even attentive public declaration published here a while ago. I refer to the fans, because those who don't like Guns N' Roses or don't follow the band, certainly don't have a formed opinion about this subjetct.

First of all, the Rock And Hall Of Fame is a marketer cerimony that doesn't include bands like Kiss, Deep Purple and Rush to induct artists that have nothing to do with Rock like Maddona, Run D.M.C. and ABBA. And also, there was a polemic in 2007, when Grandmaster Flesh was inducted to the Hall Of Fame, letting out Dave Clark Five, that had more votes than the Rap group. Questionable.

Since the Guns N' Roses induction was announced, the speculation started. With speculation, "automatically", information start to get twisted by the media, full of sensationalists vechiles, biased and lacking in ethics. Imagine you, in the place of Axl Rose, who had declared nothing, being surrounded by people all the time asking ig GN'R was really going to reunite on the Hallf Of Fame. Let's agree that such thing must be annoying, or am I wrong? The situation would only get worse if the concert actually happened. Everyone knows Axl Rose has a problem with the media and vice versa. And, want it or not, not him and not any other artist has to deal with the press. Is not lack of respect, is freedom of expression - you can disapear when you want.

When talking about "annoying" in the Rock world, the name Steven Adler pops at the same time. The drummer who needs his past to have repercussion, knowing that his present is erased and emptied in dust - if you know what I mean (In Brazil "dust" is a slang for cocaine). The man only cry and begs for the classic line-up to reunite and that can only happen with a miracle. He called the current Guns N' Roses members "hacks" (and said he was sorry later, not necessary), invented rumors about a reunion after being on a GNR party in 2006, and in the highest point of his prepoteny, claimed that his new album will be better than "Chinese Democracy". Imagine you, in the place of Axl Rose. Would you have patience with a figure like that?

Joins, then, a repressed Slash, that even after a good solo carreer, insists in afirms that Axl hates him. Then, tries to put the singer as the vilain of the story, even knowing that on that relation, troubled since the 1980s, there is no good or bad guy. Axl may have his defects, but that's something the man never did, even because he doesn't care (or it seems that he doesn't care) to the media. And honestly, Slash doesn't need that - he has been releasing excellent music on the past years.

A reunion could happen at least in one night, if Slash and Steven Adler would behave like Izzy Stradling and Duff McKagan - one very reclusive, and the other, very careful with the words. If you want to be a public figure, you must always pay attention to what you're saying around. It could also be easir if the Rock And Roll Of Fame wasn't a questionable institution in which it's boss Paul Shaffer does and undoes statements about Guns N' Roses; and if the media had an ethic that should be usual.

At the same time, moan about the fact that the Guns N' Roses classic line-up is not reuniting and blame Axl Rose. He is the vilain. Isn't he?

  7. Post 2009:

Random Interviewer: What about a new Guns N' Roses album?

DJ: "Well you know, Axl has some great songs... But we still have to sit and write as a band. But Axl and I, we have a great musical connection!"

Any other Guns N' Roses member: "Well, you know... I worked on a bunch of songs that didn't make it on Chinese Democracy"

    Axl: " "

  8. Has anyone asked MSL for comment about this, seeing as 'Better Gone' was on his files list?

    He is not gonna answer.

    He is in trouble

He wouldn't be in trouble if he had been sincere about this since the beggining.

  9. it sounds completely amateur

stupid samples in dumb and inappropriate places

    silly cheap whitstle sounds etc

in the background, lame-ass echo effects on axl's voice at the beginning,

dafuq? Did you actually heard it dude?

  10. Hope so but I wouldn't put any faith into some ramblings from a radio man. Untill we hear it from Guns it aint shit

Yeah, a radio man... Who played I.R.S. on the radio on 2005, which led to the darknemus leak on the next year.

A radio man who made Axl leave the Guns N' Roses rehearsal just to attend to his interview.

A radio man who told before the vast majority that late 2008 was the Chinese Democracy final release date.

Yeah, what a loser that radio man is.

  11. Very interesting.

I really hope the October 11th thing really happens.

    Let's remember:

A deal is done for the band releasing CD2 the 11:th of october. The album has a totally different name though.

The project is currently in progress and has been worked on since the tour ended, the members are told to keep quiet not to blow the thing with leaks like it was done with CD.

    Tell us what you know.

I will not do any claims of being an insider or certain about something - just passing a story on what I heard.

I happened to be on a garden-party with people from the music business a couple of weeks ago where I became involved in a discussion and someone claimed this. The man talking was pretty drunk, and I didn´t have time to find out if he was some kind of executive or involved in any record-company-thing of some sort. He looked like that, well dressed, but at the same time, pretty "rowdy" to the looks, tattooed, ear piercings and stuff.

Myself is an industry worker that happened to get invited by knowing some people, so I didn´t know almost any of the people there.

I am not the biggest of guns n roses fan either (I was when I was younger though), but I got a little curious about what the band has been doing lately and happened to end up here.

This man talking seemed to be pretty sure about his thing though, talking about the upcoming tour and how this record should be released and the things I tell in the first post. We didn´t meet more that evening.

And the following, he sent on a PM:

I am danish by origin, and have moved to some friends to work overseas in the US. Some of my friends friends apparently knew some people so we got invited to this party that was hosted in LA - don´t know exactly the whereabouts though, as we came in from the weekend from San Fransisco. As I said, I have no further details, we did not meet more that evening and we went out to club later on. I guess I could hear about around my friends, but I don´t think that they know who it is either, I was the only one from my crew that was talking to him at this moment, there were around 4-5 persons who heard the same as me.

As I just re-gained interest in this band, I might as well help with what I heard. I cannot guarantee the truth, or anything like that. As I said, I am only passing on information from a late night. And the things passed on is all I have heard. He mentioned the secrecy around the project and how the members have been told to lay low about working on the album.

Now that you mention it, I think that might have been what he said. He talked about Chinese Democracy and praised it as a fantastic album, but I think he talked on about going with another name for the new album, wich apparently already had been sealed and he was clearly closely involved in it, no question about that! it might have been that name...i was also pretty drunk at the time, so I don´t remember too clearly to be able to give out a promise.

Nothing big though, but still... worth paying attention.

  12. GUNS N' ROSES TO PLAY AT BOLIVIA

Guns N' Roses concert in Bolivia, which will take place in October, may take place in Santa Cruz, and not La Paz, as planned.

Producer Abel Espejo said everything is ready for the arrival of the legendary rock group leaded by Axl Rose, but not in the capital La Paz.

"Our original intention was to hold the concert on La Paz, which is the most important place of the country, But the governement won't give permission for us to use the Hernando Siles Stadium, which would be the perfect place for a event that big", said Espejo.

The producer explanied that, if they can't use the stadium, La Paz would lose the opportunity to host one of the biggest musical events in the country. The governement said that the stadium can't be used because it has to be repaired.

The social communication area explained that the sports area has to be ready for the FIFA 2014 BRAZIL WORLD CUP qualifyings.

Espejo said that the place is not defined yet "We are looking for options to host the event at La Paz, we want it there", said the producer.

  13. The tickets are selling so well, that when you go into the Ticketek Homepage (www.ticketek.com.ar), look what appears:

    23m7xbn.jpg

    Awesome!

I'm seriously thinking about going to that concert too.

Damn, I want to go to that concert. I'll make it happen...
