1988 was definitely the peak. Sweet Child hitting #1 as a single and Appetite for Destruction spending a month at #1 on the top of the billboard top 200.

Not to derail the thread, but I will never understand the Why Axl Why crap..

Axl was given $15 mil, label support, 10 years, a cadre of kick-ass musicians, and handed in his homework late with a bunch of mediocre to bad songs.
