So I was running late right and there was traffic. We were like the band would surely get air lifted through all of this of course! Since people legit stopped their cars got out of their taxies and walked to the concert, so we decided to detour across the desert behind outlet mall to the ve...nue.

As we went around and approached the entrance to the desert road there was this big guy who stopped us and made way for two vans to go to through and as we neared the venue one of the vans got stuck in the sand and people from the other rushed to help them out. We were about to overtake them but the same guy stopped us and said ‘We have Axl Rose in the back of that van’ Can you get him to the concert? We couldn’t believe it!

Then as he's coming up to us a local guy (by himself) in his land cruiser is stopped and gets axel with his crew (not the band) in his car and we get his personal manager in ours we drive backstage drop them And get all access passes And end up right in front of the stage! It was crazy

is it wrong that I love the rain coat I live in the uk so could do with one  the rain that night was really  bad the fans were lucky they didn`t abandon the show

I`ve just started re listening to the album I`ve always had it on my I pod but recently started to listen from beginning to end I love the album and think it`s a shame people wanted to hate it just for the sake of it  I think it`s a grown up album if you get my meaning

I honestly think if Axl had negotiated a tv deal where he presented the album with a full orchestra and  rehearsed  the hell  out of it people would have loved it to at the minute I`m enjoying catcher in the rye

aww didn`t realise the time difference was 8 hrs so don`t think I`ll get to see any today have a great time to all of you going and look forward to catching up with all the posts later

I almost missed a Pearl Jam concert in 1996 cause of a major traffic jam on the only highway to the venue.   That was a learning experience.   Ever since then I make it a point to be early to shows, even if it means waiting around for a long time.  This person knew there would be 70,000+ other fans going to the same place.  Plan ahead.

I agree still feel sad for them though

hopefully the next show they post messages about getting there early or use public transport

what a show for them to miss it looked fantastic from my frontroom lol
