Feist closed out 2011 with a bang. The singer Tweeted a video from her final show of last year, which took place in Mexico City. It wrapped with a high-volume rendition of Guns 'N Roses' "November Rain", complete with a Slash impersonator shredding on the guitar. Feist herself didn't take part in the actual cover, because she was too busy smashing a "surprise piñata" on stage behind the band.

The way I'm reading it is that the initial inducted line-up gets voted, then it is up to THAT line-up to choose who else gets in. So, it would be up to the AFD line-up + Matt & Dizzy to decided if any other members should be inducted alongside them. The same thing with Metallica. It was probably James, Kirk, Lars, Cliff, and Jason and then they decided that they wanted Rob inducted too.

Makes sense. So in that case it will be 5 vs 2 for inducting anyone nu. So that won't happen.

If it is up to Axl and he just inducts the current band, none of the classic guys or even someone like Buckethead, that would be hilarious and the backlash would be so overwhelmingly negative. That won't happen, obviously. The Hall wouldn't allow it, "rules" be damned.

People seem to forget that Slash has been happy about Axl carrying on the Guns N' Roses name.

All I know is he was pissed when it first happened, said it was a HUGE mistake to give Axl the rights (because Axl continued with the name), and is probably pissed the old band can't reunite every so often and play some shows, he also said what Axl is doing is sacrilege.

True heart and soul of guns. You can't deny it. Even in the new lineup, his spirit will always guide the bands sound with that heavenly harmonica echoing in the minds of all GNR members past present future.

One thing I thought of is say the old guys were to perform. You would think they would have to call eachother and practice a bit right? I find that really, really, hard to picture.

Also congrats to RHCP and The Beastie Boys, when I saw the nominees, these two were the only ones who I thought were truly deserving as well.

The Cure are arguably more influential than everyone else nominated though. How many depressive bands came out between 1990-2005 (or so) that were influenced by them? A ton!

I think if 3 songs is the option than no matter what songs they pick 2 with Adler, 1 with Sorum. If it's 4 songs 2 and 2, 5 songs 3 and 2 (for Adler), 2 songs 1 and 1, 1 song just Adler.

DJ has put in two long years of touring all around the world, he plays the shit out of his bands songs, and even though he has not played on any GNR album yet he deserves to get in because Axl really does like him guys and if they do release another album it'll definitely be better than any of those old records. Chris Pittman too, that guy has been filling out the bands rock song with keyboard drones for YEARS now, without him the band would probably still sound gritty and raw (not a perfect sound). Bumblefoot too, he played some of the solos on Chinese Democracy! He was also skilled enough to come in after the songs were basically done and replace what was already recorded and originally intended by the people who wrote the song (detractors who left the band). Tommy deserves to get in too, it's not his fault you can't hear the bass on almost all of Chi Dem! Richard most of all because we know he didn't write any of the songs on the bands newest album so their next album is bound to have lots of his songs (which should kick ass since he has had ten+ years to work on them since Axl decided not to include any on Chi Dem). Frank too because he learned Brains parts really well and you can't even pick out which drum parts are his and which are Brain's on the album! (Not a sign of no unique sound, a sign of skill!)

The only pic there that even looks bad is the one where he is wearing like 4 layers and has his head back in a way to make his chin look fatter. The one with his daughter is funny though, looks like he's just learning to walk lol. The bald spot isn't even that bad look how much hair he does have, he kind of looks cool actually. Axl on the other hand went into hiding and was so distressed about his hair loss he stayed out of public only to return after some surgery and hair plugs, then it got so bad he had to put hilarious braids in, now he just has someone elses hair on 99% of his head.

Also, you can bet if you guys were posting pics of Axl's baldness and laughing and mocking you'd be banned. Beautiful double standard here. HTGTH is in total crisis mode right now. Jarmo is deleting posts right and left about this, and there are forum members making the case that without the new band GNR would not be inducted.....and there is tons of agreement.

All I can see is one little 2 page thread about this in their GNR section. That place is pretty busy too so you can tell Jarmo is deleting MANY posts. This is such big news for GNR and that little dick has to stifle it because it has something to do with the old band he so vehemently hates. I intend to go there when the old bands gets announced as the only inductees, he'll probably delete the thread altogether and pretend nothing is happening lol.

I just can't wait until the induction. It's going to be awesome seeing the original guys get on stage together again. I hope Axl shows, all the other guys will in good spirits.

I still don't get what "wrote the song" means. He was the drummer and made up his drum parts, just like a guitar player makes up their guitar parts. They're all part of a song and each shine at different times and any part of a song can be a highlight even if it's not part of the original idea. Is the person who "writes" the song the person who writes the lyrics? The chords? The melody? Whatever the most prominent part, vocal, or instrument on a song is? Whatever part is thought of first for a song? When you all write together I don't get this who writes thing, they all wrote it. Steven says it was him and Slash playing together the first time slash was doodling with SCOM and Steven was the one who first convinced him it was good. Who knows, maybe if Steven had not have done that Slash may not have played it around Axl or Axl may not have felt as strongly about it before Slash and Steven developed it a bit.

People saying Steven didn't write anything, I don't get. Did you listen to AFD? There's drums on every song! Who played those drums and wrote most of those drum beats?
