  1. Wow this thread has got to be setting the record for least forum interest at this point... which is odd since Duff is there. I would have thought a lot of people would have been at the show tyoo! I certainly would have rather seen loaded than black label society in Nashville. Only song I liekd from bls was stillborn.

  2. I would choose others before that one. dead horse or breakdown or locomotive or who knows what else would all come before coma because coma isn't necessarily a good one to do live.

  3. Only show I've seen them at was Nashville a couple weeks ago. Decent sized crowd. Not a huge number left early like at some shows. Axl sounded great on probably 4 out of every 5 songs. The mix was great with no drowning out of his vocals with the music. First civil war eprformance since the 90s so it was a cool shock. really nothing could have been done to make it any better. Everything was justa wesome. If somhow Axl's voice hadn't been so high on a few songs it would have been eprfect... but like i said that was probably 1 of every 5 or less.

I sure wish I had seen the show in Memphis in 1992. :( I think I had just started liking them not long before and thatw as my one chance to see them in the prime years. Prime as in age-wise.

  4. At times his vocals were drowned out a little by the music, as if the mix was slightly off.

so many people said that for so many shows I was worried about nashville, but then it turned out it really NEVER seemed drowned out there to me. On the other hand... black label society sounded like a bunch of yelling with no words even being audible most of the time and the music was drowning out the vocals. Luckily the mix waas much better for gnr than for them!

  5. People still being lame in ehre I see. When you feel truly depressed you don't really "think" about what others think of you showing emotion. I doubt he could care elss about people bashing him. Mature people would never bash over something of this sort, of course.

  6. Really? Like what? Enlighten me. I'd love to hear a justifiable reason for the bashing of Mormons. Or at least why they get it more than Jehovah Witness, Buddhism, Muslims...even Catholicism...how many of their priests have raped kids? Trust me, I know plenty about Mormons/Mormonism, and they are good people, despite some of their "non conventional" beliefs. When was the last time you heard about a Mormon murderer? or rapist? Sure there's probably a few, but compared to the rest of the world? ... :fuckyou:

    Oh...so you're one of those.

Personally, I think all religion is bullshit. Maher and Carlin have it right.

Mormonism is just asinine. Makes no sense. I don't care how good the people are that follow it, the fact of the matter is, they are dumb enough to follow it.

Anything that Maher or Carlin say/said is true is always sure to be false.

GN'R can't play in Mecca because they are not Muslim.

Goddamnit I wish they would drop some of the AFD songs and replace them with new songs.

You're probably one of three people wanting that. :P Even as much as I have liekd the CD album, those songs seemed rpety boring at the concert I went to. Axl actually sounded worse on them, to begin with. For example on shackler's revenge (in Nashville) his voice was wayyyyyyy too high and it seemed that way on most CD songs, oddly. So even if the majority did want CD songs (which they don't) more than AFD songs, they aren't sounding quite right for most of those songs lately.

  7. Those convenience fees... man they're ridiculous. I decided to go to the Nashville show literally 7-8 hours from the doors opening and I was near Memphis. I thought about buying tix at the arena when I arrived, but I hate to risk that because you never know if some odd reason will keep you from getting any despite it not selling out. So anyway I just bought one of the $27 tickets online and noticed the face value was $17. So they were quite close to DOUBLING the price.

  8. Every time they're asked about a new album they're like "we;ve talked about getting in the studio, but..." and yet they claimed in the past tons of songs are already completed! So they wouldnt even need to get in there unless they want one or two new oens to add.

  9. you people have sure become lame for the past many concerts not putting the set list in the first post. :P

If I could have added songs to the Nashville set list, maybe i would have added dead horse and breakdown, but they sure do have a mighty good set list for this tour.

  10. Sigh. this doesnt deserve its own topic, so just mentioning ehre... I didn't realize Axl keeps saying "you" in estranged on the parts thata re supposed to be "us" and I always felt like the word changing from "you" to "us" during the song matters because ti starts out alone and then represents more than one. I'll just assume he did it again here. Havent listened.

Maybe he'll get it right, next time. ;)

He does it get it right sometimes and not others. I've probably heard most of the Estranged performances this tour thanks to the one thread that was around that collected all the videos, and some nights he gets the "So what'll happen to US, baby" right and other times he says it as "you" instead.

I annoyingly missed "when you're talking to yourself and nobody's home" when recording in Nashville. o annoying because he sounded pretty good on the song and I hate when parts are missing. Also now i am kind of regrettting not taking another battery and another sd card to get more of the concert because I've actually liked listening to the audio from my videos!

Anyway, at least Axl rarely messes up lyrics on anything else. On Civil War at my show he messed up multiple times, but that's extremely understandable for the first performance of it.

  12. yes. nothing after the UYI albums has had much to do with them getting in. It's all absed on up tot hat point and everything after is just gravy. To be hoenst I was surprised they did get inducted on the first ballot because of how few albums they made. But then again EVERY gnr song is awesome so they have more good songs than some groups who have made 5 tiems as many albums. I even like shotgun blues, my world, etc... despite some claiming they're not good songs. One of the VERY few groups who has no duds as far as my o[pinion goes. I can only think of a couple ALBUMS by otehr groups which have no duds, let alone any groups where all songs on all albums are great.

  13. Huh? That's exactly how he sang it last night. "What's so civil about war, anyways?" and then whistling...where was the mistake?

The point is, it makes NO difference live, and I will be verifying that tonight when I get back from the show.

Sit at home, nitpick everything, who cares!

Did you guys hear Fortus slightly bend that 46th note on the Civil War solo wrong?

    :sleeper:

If I were Axl I wouldn't do songs people keep whinign about wanting to hear on here when so many then post such rude ass remarks like these people have been doing. Luckily he does them anyway. :) He does a song people hav begged for ever since the tour started and then all these responses are whining about him forgetting words in the first performance and a minor issue in both.

  14. How can they drop Better?

Reading comprehension isn't one of your strong suits, is it?

Okay. Dick. Sorry if I have poor eyesight. Why don't you go fuck yourself?

I have poor eyesight too and a lot of people are asses about it. I road a bus to Nashville for that show and in the bus station before returning this moron who worked there was smirking to a friend about my vision problem. Lot of idiots out there.
