TIL is one of those songs that really benefits from a raspier delivery by Axl. The album version does nothing for me, and never has; but his live vocals in 2010 really made it soar. And obviously the ridiculously raspy vocals from the remix version.

I'm sure it's probably just me, but the more I've listened to Monsters, the more I keep hearing parralels to Bring It Back Home instrumentally.
Logically I know the song was written by nuGuns, and they likely weren't drawing inspiration from old, unreleased classic Guns demos; but I can't help but hear how similar of a groove it has to me. Then again, who's to say how the song sounded prior to Slash & Duff re-recording it.

Someone is selling this as gnr.....Â

Doesn't sound like gnr to me..... Thoughts?Â
Am I aloud to post this here?Â
Â
If someone's selling that as GN'R, I also have a bridge to sell.

It is. The picture came from his Jimmy Kimmel interview in 2012.

Probably San Diego '88 or Stockholm '91.

Â
$200? Please. Fernando would charge like $500. Per person in the car. Extra $75 to roll your windows down. And a one hour setlist comprised of Jungle, SCOM, NR, and KOHD. Maybe The Seeker for an encore.

You've gotta be kidding. We already have several pro-shots AND an official DVD from that year (which sucked in general anyway). If anything from post-release NuGNR, then 2009/2010, logically.Â
While I'd rather have something from '02, '06, or '10 from nuGuns; Philly 2012 was far and away better than every proshot and AFDemocracy. Probably the best show from 2011-2014.
Axl was just coming off having some kind of cold or flu and rasped his ass off all show. If there were to be something unearthed from that four year stretch, that would be the show to have.

Good to see Frank is keeping busy. Insane that he has the sheer audacity to release anything during a plague year though.Â
EDIT: I see Fortus is involved too, so......

They're both about to get pulled into a 3-hour meeting with Fernando about how they're not respecting what's happening in the world right now.

Recording is nice. Actually ever getting released is the problem.
Still, nice to hear him mention specifically jamming with Axl.

They wouldâve been a band touring on nostalgia for 14yrs and counting.
no CD, contraband, Libertad, Slash, SMKCÂ
ÂNo new music whatsoever. Years reworking CD era songs. Izzy wouldâve checked out after half a day
Well, Contraband was released in 2004. Libertad is eh. SMKC is... okay (and likely still could've happened on the side, just like it is right now).
CD probably would've gotten pushed out by the end of '06, and at the end of the day, the chances for new music after Chinese certainly couldn't be worse than they are now - especially since a reunion would have probably made things with UMG more favorable.
Given the two options, I would've probably preferred the '06 lineup (w/ Brain, not Frank) to stick together and see how it would've panned out), but all in all I don't think a 2006 reunion really puts them in any worse of a situation than things have been with the stagnation.

Started a fresh playthrough in RDR 2 a few weeks ago. Kinda rushed through to finish the story the first time around, so I've really been taking my time just roaming around doing side stuff the whole time. Probably invested like 30-35 hours or so, and I'm still on Chapter 2.
Such an amazing game with incredible depth. I can't believe the amount of stuff I'm picking up on this time that I missed in my first playthrough.

I think at the moment, even Ashba is missed. Dude looked like an emo Mickey Rourke with a guitar but at least having him and bumblefoot both playing had some quirkiness. Itâs a shame the locker leaks werenât in 2010. At least Ron would have snuck in the odd glimpse of the songs cheekily like with Estranged and Donât Cry.Â
No. Ashba is definitely not missed. In fact, I'm still trying to scrub his Dementedâą presence in the band from my brain, six years later.

Didn't Fernandont say "weekly"? That's not the same as "every Thursday"...oh boy đ
Have we considered that in Axl and Team Brazil World that a week simply has a different definition of time?
Perhaps a "week" to them is 10 years instead of 7 days.

I mean, it's GN'R. Why would anyone expect anything to be done on time?

2006 to me feels like the last time it was watching Axl be Axl. He looked great, the band sounded great, and he was mixing the rasp with the incredible screams from '02. And it seemed like Chinese was actually imminent. He was also more outgoing and accessible publicly it seemed - actually doing something like the Trunk interview, the occasional public appearance, etc.
Not to disparage 2010, because his energy, and obviously, vocals were still there - but in 2006 he still had such a cool rockstar aura around him.
Getting some good 2006 footage put up on Youtube would be godly, especially the Gibson Amphitheatre shows like already mentioned.

I mean that's just a baseless accusation.
AfD went out with (as far as I can tell) no tweaking.
No reason why GNR would require much in the way (especially if they're using shows where the band is 'on').
Bon Jovi just put out a live acoustic video on youtube with 'minimal' tinkering. And his voice is shot.
Live Era sure had minimal tinkering...

It's the general gist, yes. He also said the book was wholly his project and they just signed off on letting him use the brand name for it.

I can't believe one of the guys asked Fernando about Axls vocal changes, and when Fernando started to answer another one interrupted him and changed the subject...WTF?????????????!
Fernando would've just brushed it off and said it's not his place to talk about it.

Big agree. Makes no sense at all to promote a line up that's not even together atm.
Yep. Makes no sense at all to promote the only lineups fans give a shit about, whose music is the only reason they still have fans today...

Fernando asked on if we would see older content soon:Â
âit hasnât even been thought of on this first fo round of what we are trying to do. Me personally, I think by doing older stuff, its not the right move.â
It does make sense. Because only this band can start doing one thing people have been begging for, while at the same time giving them what they least want to see.

god, please don't release a NITL show.. the performances, even in 16, are not fit to be professionally recorded/released. I loved the two shows I went to, but just give me a damn UYI show, 2010, 2007, or 87 show.. I don't want another live release by this band that is terrible, we already have the Tokyo show, live era, and AFDemocracy..
It's 100% going to be from NITL. From what Fernando was saying, it's not even a question. If any classic stuff happens, it won't be for a long time.

So?
I mean, the way Fernando talks, he's basically one of the most integral members of the band.
My God, Axl predicted a VERY scary thing in around 1991! đ±đ€đĄ

It should be Axl and Izzy's May 29th homecoming show in Nobelsville, prior to It's So Easy.
