can ruin a song or can be great.

There are only so may masterpieces that any artist can have. Slash has more than his fair share. His albums always have a few good solos and at least one where I go - "wow".

I agree.

These guys are moving into their 50s. Their most relevant material has been put out. Like Dylan, McCartney or even "younger" guys like Aerosmith and Ozzy - their new stuff still has some highlights and artistic merit but it will just never be what their stuff was like when these guys were in their 20s & 30s.

I agree completely with this and the same goes for most of slash contemporaries and even former band mates. To think that slash could create another "coma" or something like that is kinda out there I mean most musicians now a days can barley compete with slashes new album n thats saying a lot. I like slash new album it's fun but I didn't go into it thinking it was going to be something in the lines of his GnR days or even snakepit days that would just be setting the album to fail

I think slash mention that in an interview once that he felt they were sloppy or spontaneous but in a good way I guess to me personally most of his solos in this album are awesome but I can understand why someone would be turned off by them since they are a little off from what slash normally produces

I like the new album but myles is too soft for slash and imo Weiland is not talented enough to be with slash. i think slash should go like jeff beck and do an instrumental album just fucking Slash making guitar songs and letting loose at least for the short run and in the long run he should find a strong vocalist and re team with duff thats my feeling

i think axl sounded awesome then and still does i saw him at dallas and it was fucking epic really but as everyone on this forum can tell is that Axl is 50 and he wont sound as good as 06 or 90s Axl. I feel that Axl should tour on smaller venues something small so he wont have to reach so high n fuck up his voice and he should play acoustic stuff too that would be fucking awesome

i seem to recall that the album known as chinese democracy was promised more than lets think 14 years so i really doubt anything will happen n i think they will just play old guns song that they havent played in a long time similar to how Estranged was played which is awesome non the less B)

first ever post here lol I felt slash pulled a good album with myles, I dont think its something beyond tho its not up to par with AFD or the Illusions albums.

It had good songs through out the album like No More Heroes, Shots Fired, Bad Rain, and SIS but the ones that really made me feel like Slash still has

something in him were anastasia, Not For Me, and Far and Away. I can honestly say tho that if there is anything weak in the album it would have to be

Myles i just cant really get into his voice it sounds like those british bands from the 80s n I just dont like that. Still Slash has some clever riffs that made this

album a good rock album plain and simple at least to me B)
