  1. I doubt he turned up guitar in hand. I think in his book he said he just wanted to see the show. I get why Axl didn't want him there, it's like your ex turning up at your wedding.

Slash showed up at the first nuGNR Vegas concert with his guitar. Doesn't seem too weird to me - Bumblefoot showed up with his guitar at a Loaded concert and Duff let him play.

  2. Why did n`t he allow Mike Clink to produce Chinese is beyond me

Mike Clink is a supporter of Slash the Devil

Anyway the problem with CD is not the production. The problem is terrible lyrics and crap songs written by Paul and Diz. The only redeeming factor is Buckethead, and he left.

  3. Dizzy is only there to play Axl's parts during the songs. And only because Axl didn't want to be stuck behind a piano all the time during his Elton John phase. He's a hired backing musician.

Dizzy is a better pianist than Axl. So it's more than Dizzy just playing sheet music from Axl. He actually helps write the piano parts.

Slash and Duff signed over their rights to keep Axl happy. They probably trusted Axl because they were friends and bandmates. Besides, GNR without Axl would be dead in the water. At the time they didn't realize what a nutjob Axl was. After Axl left GNR and took the name they sued Axl multiple times. Just because Axl was legally in the clear doesn't absolve him from being a shady scumbag.

Slash and Duff were fucked up on drugs, yet they mostly showed up on time, didn't throw tantrums and start riots, played their parts correctly, recorded music, did interviews etc. Same can't be said for Axl.

Axl never invited Slash to record for CD. He thought about it and told Canter, but Axl never talked to Slash. Axl has rebuffed any attempted contact from Slash - most notably the 2001 Vegas concert and Slash's visit to Axl's house.

Slash may have disliked playing with Izzy, but Izzy contributed to Contraband and played on Slash's solo album. Izzy has not contributed to any released fake GNR albums. In the late 90s Izzy jammed with Duff after Slash left, but Axl demanded Izzy sign over all rights to the songs and Izzy refused. Slash jammed with Izzy without any legal BS.

Also I think it's funny you link to a Canter interview when Axl totally cut off Canter, but Canter is still friends with Slash. Also in the interview Canter says Slash was a terminator and would do anything in the name of GNR. He also says that Izzy quit because he was scared of being sued for a riot. Who caused those riots? A certain W.A.R.

Ah what was I thinking ... Slash is your hero ... he is the good guy ... Axl is the bad guy! LMAO

Signing over the name to make Axl happy? Even dumber!

You can't force people to sign a contract because it makes the contract void in the court of law. You can't lie or manipulate people to sign a contract because it would make the contract void in the court of law.

Slash/Duff willing signed the papers because they were too dumb to know the consequences and didn't care at point in time.

Slash and Duff almost died from their addictions! Had they died when they almost did die, if Axl did not have full rights to the GnR name, Perla would be in control of GnR right now.

What are you reading? Marc did indeed say Axl reached out to Slash to come do some songs on CD. Why would Marc say this if he didn't believe it? Has Slash denied this yet? Not that I've heard of.

Axl rebutting Slash? Well duh, Slash quit GnR, blamed everything on Axl, talked smack about Axl, and then refused to come back to GnR when Axl asked him to. Why would Axl want Slash back after all that?

Izzy quit VR because they (Slash, Duff, Matt) wouldn't let him be the singer, ie. the creative director of the band

Izzy jammed with Slash without any legal BS? If Slash used any Izzy contributed songs and did not pay Izzy for it ... there would be a lot of legal BS from Izzy! That is what Axl protects himself from ... lawsuits! Doing contracts is the only way to protect yourself. And remember, Izzy did quit the band. Maybe Izzy is trying to advantage of Duff for some royalty money ... who knows! You don't know people's evil intentions before its too late.

You didn't read the Canter interview too good huh? You missed how Canter said Slash doesn't even talk to him anymore, but Axl does and Axl sends him gifts. He said that he is closer to Axl eventhough Slash was his childhood best friend. Axl was the only one supporting his book. Slash didn't even care! Axl is upset with him right now for releasing the book before Axl could release CD. Axl wanted Marc to release the book after CD was released. But Marc is confident Axl and him will be able to patch this up because Marc had no control over the release date of his book (the publisher did).

Lastly, please link to sources for your so call claims. Otherwise, it's all BS! LOL

Perla was already married to Slash when he was badly hooked up on drugs and on the verge of dying and Axl made hom sign over the right?

Didn't they get married later than that? I stand corrected btw.

Your not too bright are you? If Slash dies, everything he owns goes to his estate - who ever that may be at the time or who he assigned in his will.

If Slash had not signed those papers, and died in 2001/2002 like the doctors told him he was going to, Perla would have gotten rights to the GnR name. Slash legally married Perl in 2001.

But I'm sure already you knew that Slash was married to Renée Suran between October 10, 1992 and late 1997. The UYI tour did not end until July 1993.

I gues I stand corrected than! LMAO

If Slash had died, I would have no problem with Axl using the GNR name. Alice in Chains went on after Layne passed, made a really good album, toured and performed really well, got the blessing of Layne's mom, and pay a lot respect to Layne.

Axl is an arrogant shithead that tries to bury the past members, but he continues to make money off their music because he is a ghost of his former self, and he is creatively dead.

Axl is greedy and lazy. Axl lowered Izzy's tour earnings before Izzy quit. Axl left GNR and then offered Slash and Duff a chance to be employees (less money and power.) Axl used Bucket, took a shit on him in a press release, then paid him a pittance in royalties from CD. Axl doesn't care about anyone but himself. That's why he hires people like Dizzy that depend on him and will be happy with a tiny salary. By the way, did Dizzy ever find a roommate for his apartment? LMAO

  4. Axl might legally own the GNR name, but everyone knows he fucked over Slash and Duff to get the name. Everyone expects that shit from record companies. Axl doing that to his friends was just despicable.

You need to catch up on your GnR facts mate.

    Try this thread: http://www.mygnrforu...-the-gnr-brand/

Then read Marc Canter's interview: http://www.legendary...or-marc-canter/

I love recording like this. During Appetite..., Lies and Use Your... I had to put up with Izzy the whole time. I never liked playing with him. It was wonderful to escape him on this record. It sounds tighter and so much cooler than anything we've done before. I always got irritated over Izzy's way of playing. It didn't sound right. Before "Spaghetti", we erased his guitar and Gilby put on a new one. It sounded perfect!

And if that is not enough for you, then check this thread too: http://www.mygnrforu...58#entry3323058

I can't tell wtf you are trying to say. What do Slash's comments on Izzy have to do with Axl fucking over Slash and Duff? What does the Spaghetti Incident have to do with Axl stealing the name? Also the link to the Canter interview is broken.

The site for the Marc Canter interview is probably being overloaded with Slasholics right now! LOL

Google: marc canter guns n roses

Then read the cached text version.

And no, Axl did not fawk Slash/Duff over with the name. Think about this: Why would any sober and intelligent person sign over their rights to the GnR name?

Slash/Duff were stupid drug/alcohol addicts who didn't give a fawk about anything except the drugs, booze, and parties. Axl wanted full rights to the name because he was afraid Slash/Duff would OD and die. If they died, then their estates would take over the GnR name. That would have fawked Axl and the GnR fans over.

Slash/Duff have nobody else to blame but themselves. If Axl had fawked them over in any way, Slash/Duff would have gone to court to void the contract. They obviously didn't.

The purpose of sharing the Slash dissing on Izzy quote is to make you see that Slash only cared about making his music ... not GnR music that included Axl and Izzy.

In recent Axl interviews, Axl revealed that:

    1. Slash did not like AFD (except for his parts)

    2. Slash re-recorded all Izzy's parts on the UYI records

This TSI interview by Slash in late 1993 validates Axl's above claims.

Axl also has called Slash a LIAR.

In the Marc Canter interview, Marc confirms that Slash is indeed a LIAR who likes to lie to make himself look cool.

    Marc also confirmed that:

    1. Axl did not fawk over Slash/Duff with the name rights

    2. Slash QUIT GnR because Axl wouldn't take all his Snakepit songs as-is

    3. Axl invited Slash to come do 4 songs for CD that Slash had helped co-write previously, but Slash refused.

So you see, your anger towards Axl ... is unwarranted. If you are really that passionate about GnR, your anger should be directed at somebody else (hint: the guy who jammed with Bill Gates to sell a Xbox game).

  6. Duff McKagan would never come back to GNR to be an employee of Axl Rose, and that is the only way it would work. Thus it won't happen.

Duff would come back to be an employee of Axl Rose. He was an employee in the late 90s before he left.

  7. Scott sounds good on the albums but sometimes he was awful live (especially right before the band broke up). Myles sounds amazing live. I hated Rod Jackson, and I thought Ain't Life Grand was mainly awful as a finished product, although Slash wrote some cool bits and pieces.

  8. Interesting him saying the ball is not on his court. Maybe he is just waiting for the others to beg?

No he's just lying to look good for the media. He has said that one of them will die before a reunion, and he said that a reunion will not happen in this lifetime. He gets Beta to rebuff any attempts at contact. Axl can never take responsibility. He blames the former members, the media, the industry, his former managers, former producers, promoters, etc. Never his fault

  9. He didn't sound sick, he was really good. SITS is one of my favourite songs, I love how Myles sings the "And if I go, you know I set off a spark" verse. Does anyone else think it's about Axl?

Why would Myles write a song about Axl? FFS

Same reason that Ozzy sang a song about Axl? :shrugs:

  10. I think he feels this way because if Slash would have joined the New GNR than together Axl thinks could have made 100 million dollars with a new record and tour and become the next Rolling Stones.

Why did Axl dissolve the old partnership and start a new GNR? Axl said he was trying to salvage Guns, not steal it, what does that mean? If he really wanted Slash to stay why not just keep the original partnership?
