  1. I don't care how talented she is... I don't want a woman in "Guns N Roses"

Even tho I love Axl and cheer for him at all costs... I have never considered a GNR lineup without Slash and Duff to really be GnR... but this would really be the last straw for me... I respect all opinions... but this is absurd to me

LZ, Aerosmith, the Stones, The Who... all of OG GNR's contemporaries... they'd never dream of this... it is sad to me

hopefully this is just a wild rumor and has no legs

  2. There's no way Guns is getting in the way of anyone's solo career. Those guys have six to eight months off a year since 2012 pretty much. It's not like they're holed up in a studio. None of the guys use it as an excuse. Its just BBF in his cry baby, pity me mode over and over again.

GnR isn't getting in the way of BBF's solo career as he's got a new album, so he doesn't have to cry about that. Don't forget he's also had some health issues (cancer scare) as well as back problems. So far he has not left and if he were to leave because of no music being put out, he'd have left a lot sooner. I think it is purely to do with money and negotiations that he's acting so distanced from Guns. I have a feeling that a lot of GnR's business decisions are last minute, and if you want to have a solo career like Bumble wants, that might interfere with scheduling etc. All speculation at this point.

I don't care what the "vision" is.... if theres a female guitar player (not matter how awesome she might be)... I would be utterly and completely done...

  3. Slash's failing marriage... leads to conversation on how it relates to Axl... which is really quite absurd.

It's not absurd because there are many points of connections.

It is well known Perla dislikes Axl and there were lots of rumour on how much (or not) she contributed to the break up and the no-reconciliation between parts.

Apparently, Slash is now dating an ex-girlfriend of his, who happens to be Erin Everly's best friend. And it is Erin Everly the one who breaks the news on social media.

It all points to Axl, directly or more indirectly in this case. But its not absurd.

But what the hell does this have to do with Axl? yeah great... they all knew each other 20 plus years ago.....its amusing that shes friends with Axl's ex wife ... but what contact does Axl have with any of these three? I would think none.

So like i said... no matter what... Axl can't escape him and his shadow ... which is why he resents him so much imo

and btw i dont think its that Perla dislikes Axl... she's just mad that Slash isn't getting that paycheck he would if they reunited

  4. This very kind of thing is a good example as to exactly why Slash is so unforgivable...

BS like this... no matter what Axl does... his career, life and legacy is tied and compared to Slash

Slash's failing marriage... leads to conversation on how it relates to Axl... which is really quite absurd.

No matter what Duff and Izzy don't have the same cache... so they were forgivable for their sins and Slash isn't.

  5. Yes but he would have a lot to say to me first. Now, it is a lot more then just putting out the book. Every time I do an interview, there are most likely things that I say that he would probably disagree with. It could be something that I say that he takes the wrong way. So I think that he thinks that I keep saying things that somehow hurt him. Even though I have nice things to say about Axl, once I say something nice about Slash, it ruins anything I just said good about AXl. The bottom line is I don't think we could ever be real friends again until he lets go of the way he feels about Slash. Before I put out the book he knew that I was still good friends with Slash and it didn't hurt our friendship but I guess it was too much for him when I started promoting the work that I did that involved Slash. Its very complicated and there is nothing that I can do to change it.

I wish I could still advise Axl in things that come up in his live. One thing for sure now that I know a lot more about what really went wrong between Axl and Slash, I could help him understand that and then maybe he could get past all that anger that he still holds on to. I have said things in interviews that Axl has probably read that should have made some sense to what went wrong between them but that fact that nothing has changed says to me that he doesn't agree with what I have said but I would love to hear what he would have to say about my thoughts on what I think went wrong.

Marc. Thank you for all your contributions... after reading all of your responses over the past couple of years... It really sounds like the people Axl surrounds himself intentionally pushed you out of his life... I have never met them. they might be sweet hearts , but it really looks that way.

They knew you had Axl's ear and did not want somebody like you in his life, thats why they did not communicate anything about the book to him. A part of me understands why Axl doesn't approve of the book, but for a guy who everybody claims is so loyal to the people close to him, I don't think he would cut you out like he has without them in his ear pushing it, even that story how they didn't return the money you had laid out for something...That's messed up.

Just my two cents from a far, The book is by far the best GNR book ever made. Thanks

  6. I loved his book and his column. Sad it no longer runs in the Seattle paper. i would read it even if he wasn't in Guns N Roses.

So I will definitely buy this as well , it's nice to have at least one sane human being from the original band.
