  1. If Duff came back as just a full time touring musician for Ax's GNR... then yes I actually would a little bit...and i think the world of Duff, not that I have ever met him, just how he presents himself

But I don't ever think he would.. if Axl could work out his issues with Slash and they functioned in writing new songs together then I think he would love to do it on a full time basis...

  2. While I never expect to See Slash on stage with Axl again, there does appear to be a lot of smoke about Ron, Tommy and Frank taking off to actually be musicians again

would not be surprised to see more lineup changes come next year

and if i cant ever see the original band together again..id still love to see DUFF come back full time, always has and always will be my favorite member, hes actually a real person unlike some of the other characters involved

  3. like a few of already stated... no matter if you "like" Ron or not

its bad news if you are a supporter and want to see things move forward...which they never do

maybe in a couple years we will get CD2.... but Ron didn't help write those songs anyway... so what's the difference

and if you still go to GNR shows in 2014, like I do.. you go to see and hear Axl Rose sing...it doesn't matter who is on stage with him anymore

  4. Agreed 1 million percent, the snarky comments they made to people whether they are right or wrong are ridiculous on so many levels

And the fact that they have more insight on what's going to happen as far as GNR over the band members speaks volumes

I have never met them. they might be lovely awesome people, and I could care less what country they come from... its just sad that Guns n Roses has come to Axl, Slash, Duff and izzy to Axl and team brazil...whatever Team brazil means anyway

  5. I just really wish that Beta and her kids were not such a lightning rod of a topic... they should not be...

it should be about the legendary history of this band and their songs.... but thats a lifetime ago now...and instead we have what we have today...

Beta and Fernando are the two most recognizable names associated with GNR outside of Axl.... and it's pathetic

  6. 'Reed says of the legendary group's next batch of material.'

Stuff like that really bothers me. And this is coming from Billboard. None of the guys in that picture are legendary in any context except for Axl and they're not even the guys who wrote and played the core of the last album.

    Frank-FerrerRichard-FortusBumblefootChri

this picture really makes me gag....

and like jordan rose says.... nothing about these guys (no matter how nice or cool they are to fans) is legendary in any way

and Axl couldn't even be bothered to show up for that little ceremony with the street signs

as for Dizzys interview...its the same interview every single time, nothing against the guy but please give it a rest already

  7. I think the production of the show is awesome, and its great to have an official release

as long as you can separate the GNR name from what you see on stage, I see no reason why anybody should be unhappy with it, I also accept that Axl doesnt sound and look the same as he did when he was 25, so im happy (however i do find it disturbing that it appears he is not prepared to sing to his highest ability at the beginning of tours)

and since I was in the building that night, it makes it even more satisfying to own

  8. They simply don't get it...

    and never will

the customer is always right.... but what do they care? the "GNR" name that others built allows them to still earn a living

For me it's not even about the customer is always right and all that. It's about realizing you're representing a famous band, and anything that's famous gets lots of positive and negative attention, so why choose, again and again and again, to focus on the negative attention, and in fact give it a louder voice by entering into battle against it. This shit is so basic and obvious from a PR standpoint that it's pathetic.

    agreed 100 percent

managing the "gnr" name cant be easy in any way for many reasons... but attacking the fan base makes it that much worse

  9. Bring back Brain. He was the greatest Guns drummer of all time.

good point of view. i like brain too. that 2002 wma's performance is one of my favorite of all time in gnr.

but speaking in losses, I think abruzesse and freese also has to be mentioned.

What show on what day did either one of those guys play a concert with "Guns N Roses" ........?

I mean..... the whole gnr drummer saga had always puzzled me....

it really boils down to what's ur favorite GNR album... because basically each album has had a different drummer.... and since.. i like all of the albums... i like all of them ... you know the ones who actually contributed to a record AND played live with the band

  10. Well, just be proud you got the book out. Even reached here in the Philippines, and as I said before, Slash was impressed it was here and with your signature! LOL!

That said, why not call Duff secretly, tell him to try help you mend things with Axl?

I get the impression Duff wants nothing to do with mending fences for other people and Axl

I think their relationship is strictly professional in terms of its fun to play shows together... I really doubt Axl and Duff hang out or talk on the phone now

  11. I've always said, and I repeat once more.

Scott is the only guy for VR.

Contraband is the best that has been done by people who were part of the original lineup of GNR. It's even better than Chinese.

    Looking back ...
"Before you start cracking wise about out-of-work refugees from multiplatinum bands or rock stars with drug problems and arrest records — as if we haven't seen a few of them in the last half-century — consider this: Singer Scott Weiland, late of Stone Temple Pilots, and the ex-Guns n' Roses trio of guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum have, with second guitarist Dave Kushner, gotten more done in one year as Velvet Revolver than Axl Rose has achieved with his version of G n' R in the past decade. If nothing else, banging your head to Contraband's snarling update of Eighties Sunset Strip rock classicism is a lot better than laying around waiting for the mythical Chinese Democracy.

Contraband is, in fact, tighter and hotter in construction and attack than we had any right to expect from a band that started out auditioning vocalists while being filmed for a VH1 reality show."

I totally agree... I am only a fan of VR and Scott because of my GNR background

i dont care for STP in any way... but there is no VR without Scott... he was perfect for them and Contraband, I wouldn't want to see VR with a different singer... if they do go that route... change the name and more forward
