  1. At this point, the delusional ones are those that think that a reunion ISN'T happening at this point.

Wow...that felt weird to type. I never thought that we'd see this day. Ever.

I did. What band that is on the level of GNR hasn't reunited?

The interesting thing will be to hear how Axl explains the "Not in this lifetime" comment. Or some of the other nasty things he said about Slash and his supporters. Then again, maybe his interviews will be filled with pre-approved ass-kissing questions.

Why would he need to explain it beyond "that's how I felt then and I feel this way now." My life would be a lot different if I was never allowed to change my opinion.

  2. I found it very interesting that Axl actually said he might remix AFD again. Would it be with the original members and just make the sound better or actually record it again with the new GNR? I don't think I would like it re-recorded, maybe just twicked to sound better, but no re-recorded, that would just be wrong.

He said he'd be interested in remastering it, not remixing or re-recording it.

  3. Funny how an Adelaide newspaper gets the story when Adelaide isn't even on the tour. Well done Team Brazil, well done.

As with most newspapers, Adelaide Now is owned/run by News Ltd, and Cameron Adams is a 'National Music Writer'. This means it was not some "exclusive" to a local Adelaide paper, but the interview also ran in the Herald Sun, a big Melbourne paper: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/music/axls-appetite-for-happy-new-ears/story-e6frf9hf-1226592104155

  4. Enjoyed that interview. Can understand not commenting on future music, the resulting news/rumours/hysteria about it would probably bother him.

I applaud someone giving more than cliche answers and attempting to explain their way of thinking. I think it's unfair to judge what he should or shouldn't be thinking, just as it would be for Axl to walk in and comment on my thought-process at a time in my life - it's my life and I see things through my own lens.

He's not the most open person, but when he chooses to speak he tends to put actual effort into what he says/writes.

  5. If Slash's shows were being turned into '2 for 1' deals, and being downgraded in capacity, we would never hear the end of it: ''Slash plays half empty clubs blah blah blah''. Yet Rose bombs in Oz and it is considered a 'successful tour'. Rose fans are freaks

Yep, it would be hilarious if it wasn't scary. All this talk how Slash plays to nothing but 2000 seat places and in Sydney Slash sold out a 14,000 seat arena and "GNR" is downgrading to 6000 seaters.

"Be here at the end of the tour! Axl will slam his mic down and say good fuck**g night.......this = successful tour.

Sydney Entertainment Centre? It's listed as a 13,250 capacity venue for concerts, and GnR is playing in a 21,000 seat arena in Sydney. Why are you comparing Slash playing in Sydney with GnR switching locations in Newcastle? They aren't "downgrading" in Sydney, they're playing in a bigger venue than Slash.

  6. Schnippy you sure are a drama queen. As i've been saying, these threads always appear predicting doom and gloom for the tour. All that pomp and circumstance over a 2-for-1 special though? You're really reaching. Hey do you remember when people were saying the Vegas gigs would not sell? Whatever happened with that?

    History repeats itself.

LIke I said, let me know when a show is cancelled or the tour is cancelled. Then you can run your mouth all you want. Oh and... maybe you didn't notice... but Guns isn't the only band playing the event. *lightbulb moment*

As for the Axl late thing. It's a joke. it was a joke that was made on Kimmel. Everyone goofs on Axl being late. Way to be "offended" though. Braaaavo.

    Saber,

Tickets are not selling on the Australian tour. That is not doom and gloom, trolling, exaggerating or anything else. That is a stone cold fact. Why do you think they are doing a 2 for 1 deal? because ticket sales are strong and its selling great?

Probably to ensure that the 2nd Kiss show sells? If you go to try and find tickets for the GnR show and the Kiss show separately, it's giving me only the option for the upper section for Guns (not including GA in this), whereas for the 2nd Kiss show you can get much closer. Also, the Kiss tickets are being much further discounted by this $150 deal than the GnR ones - it works out to about $25-30 off for the Guns tickets, much more for Kiss.

And lastly, the fact that the general public cannot find this promotion on the website, and that I couldn't find it in a google search, and that you received it in an e-mail tells me it is some sort of limited deal for subscribers to a Ticketek mailing list. If it was that bad, wouldn't they open it up so that the general public could find the deal?

I would stop referring to these things as 'cold hard facts' because you're making assumptions. Assumptions are not facts, stop representing them as so. Unless you've heard from the promoter, or read an article you can link to about this, you're misrepresenting it. Have no other bands ever done a ticket deal?
