When I was 11 I saw the Don‘t Cry video. Somehow I was drwan to that band and I liked the song, but I couldn‘t handle their raw appearance at first. Then came YCBM, the rest of the UYI videos, Freddie Tribute etc and through MTV I turned into a complete GNR maniac, that I am till this day

For me personally UYI I, but I get it, that most of you prefer AFD

It‘s an OK Song, could be a good filler in an album, but as a single?!?!

And I get the humour behind it and all that. 
 

but it‘s again quite underwhelming, given Slash and Duff are playing on this. 
Just shows that they are the new hired guns and are „allowed“ to play on Axls chinese leftovers 🙄 
 

God, I hate this band, still I payed 1,29€ to them.

Agree, definite punk vibe, but not in a good way, at least for GNR standards. Not a good achievement; they had plenty of time and could have released sth that‘s worthy of GNR, IMO

Don´t Cry, then YCBM on MTV. They played them both constantly. I was 11. Then I can clearly remember there was the GNR weekend on MTV. I recorded everything that was Guns related from that era. From the Freddy Tribute to concert in Paris. Had it all on VHS. My biggest regret is that I couldn't see them live on tour, my parents wouldn't let me go to the concert in Vienna. I'm still pissed at them about it. And I tell them all the time.

In Germany AFD  entered at nr 2 of the album charts this week 😱

Now that was progressive! Love the song, one of the reasons I love Illusions so much. And that performance by Axl is just fuckin mindblowing

I'm not tired of the setlist, seen them in vienna, now I'm going to visit one of the shows in europe and I want to see Prostitute!

I like this topic, because it were my first 2 albums that I ever bought and I wasn't even a teenager. Since UYI I was the first of the 2 CD's I bought, it's UYI I for me personally. (The first cut is the deepest they say). 

 Reg the songs it's based on the current mood I'm in. UYI I has more drive, agression and dirt, which I really miss in  most of nowerdays music. UYI II has more Ballads and cleaner sound. the colours of the album-covers seem to represent this kind of dualism. I think it was great idea to make 2 albums out of them, so each of them gets more attention. And also the songs seem to be well seperated. 

I can't tell which one is better, after all these years I'm happy that both were released individually.

I´ve been testing it on guitar yesterday. It´s VERY good.

Slash playing CD-songs is the same as Buckethead playing AFD. I think it's just interesting hearing Slashs takes on the songs. I'm enjoying every CD song he plays, it's kind of like new material, and no, I don't think he's not doing justice to them. 

Happy Birthday to the man with the ?who made want to play guitar! 

Perfect Crime - it really is perfect - has great fast and groovy riffs, a few changes - it´s short and compact -. The opposite of a boring song to me. And I really hope they´ll play it on the tour.

Oh come on, Slash has waaay better tone for Estranged. Also feeling wise. And NR was absolutly nailed by Slash on the 2nd night. He hasn't been playing some songs for ages, so maybe he needs a little time. But I prefer Slash 9000 times over BF for GNR!
